Dr Kelliny is very good at what he does and he is a very kind, caring Endodontist. My LONG time dentist highly recommended him and I hesitated as I live about 40 miles away, but decided to go with him. Also, the WHOLE staff is great, especially Diana who answers the phones, and Emily who helps with appts and billing, but everyone I have met there and has worked with him to help were amazing. I want to start by saying the root canal that Dr. Kelliny did on my tooth turned out well. The reason for my 1 star is completely his lack of unprofessionalism while discussing charges and also having Diana in the front office falsely claim I made a root canal appt instead of a follow appt for an ice test. In 2023 I came in for an appointment for a consultation. At that point, I wasn't ready for a root canal and needed a crown. The consultation was covered. My tooth calmed down but in 2025 I went to my regular dentist to get a crown and he suggested since I was still having pain that I go see Dr. Kelliny again just to make to make absolutely sure I didn't need a root canal. There was some question about it being tooth 2 or 3 that was the issue. I was told before coming to the appointment that the consultation should be covered since it had been a while since my last appointment. I came in and it looked like tooth 3 had the worst reaction to the ice test and needed to be dealt with first. I was told that pain can move forward and it's kind of really hard to tell which tooth is the problem or if they both have a problem. Since tooth 3 acted more negatively during the ice test we decided to go ahead and do the root canal for tooth 3 first and we could review tooth 2 once this root canal was healed. A couple days after the procedure I had an intense reaction to cold on tooth 2. I set up an appointment for the following week with someone in the front office. The tooth ended up settling down. So I cancelled the appt. Two months later, I started having sensitivity issues again. At that point, I decided to book the follow up appointment for tooth 2. I called and spoke with Diana and let her know what's going on with my tooth and the entire situation. Again she told me that the appointment should be covered and if not, it wouldn't be full price. Upon arriving at the office for my final appointment to essentially just do a follow up appt on tooth 2, I was told that I had booked an appt for a root canal. I think as a 51 year-old adult I would know damn well if I booked an appointment for a root canal or not. I never booked an appointment for a root canal. All I needed was to recheck the tooth 2 now that tooth 3 had been dealt with. I was dumbfounded. I expressed this to the nurse in the room and said I have no idea what's going on here. I never booked an appointment for a root canal. She then said to me well they had a cancellation and thought they would fit you in if you needed it. I let if go at that point and let them do the test. Two months later I was just surprised to receive a bill of almost $400 for things that were not covered by my insurance. They had plenty of time to do a proper check and consult my insurance before my arrival to make sure they were billing me correctly but neglected to do so. I spoke to Diana and was told to talk to my insurance company. I called them and the first woman I spoke with said it seemed like a code error issue. She also told me that Diana could have gotten all this information if she reached out very quickly and that most dental office do reach out and have proper estimates prepared. Diana just put the ball back in my court and the entire blame on me. I let her know that I am not the dental professional and she did not have my back in situation. She refused to take responsibility for any other things that have gone wrong. I spoke to Delta Dental and filed a grievance where we called the dental office back same day. Diana took down the information and gave us dates and said that Dr. Kelliny would call me back. I got a call back from Dr. Kelliny about two hours later. He was already on the defense and speaking in a very accusatory manner. Instead of listening to the complaint that I had, he talked over me and only wanted to tell his side of the story. I never fully got to express what happened to me and before I could even finish telling him how I felt about the third visit, he was telling me that I wasn't welcome back at his office and that I absolutely booked that appointment for a root canal that I never booked. At that point, I didn't trust his judgment as a medical professional any longer and hung up. There is no use in trying to express what I felt happened to me as a patient in his office when he already pre-determined that I was wrong and would only side with his front office person Diana. I told him I really wished they recorded phone calls at his office though before hanging up. These people do not like to be wrong so don't bother trying to remedy an issue with them. You will not win. Apparently questioning this doctor is a no no. Now that I've had time to think this over, I wish I would've recorded all my calls to their office. That's my advice to any new patients. Record your calls or don't bother coming here. read more

I came in with terrible tooth pain, but he didn't rush into any treatment, he carefully did some tests and in an abundance of caution advised me to take some preventative measures rather than getting a root canal which might not be needed. With the help of my dentist referral, a dentist on Dr. K's staff likely identified and solved a endosinus issue that had affected me for several years that I had mistaken for allergies. While root canals are not fun with dental dams and dripping down your thought - the staff was very supportive and the procedure and recovery have been relatively painless. I took my 19-year-old son here for a root canal utilizing his gentle wave approach. My son was coming from dental trauma and this was his first time back in the dental chair after a 3-year hiatus. Reply, Yes, I do understand that. But the fact that, I was told, that's all the payment I need to pay. I made sure with your billing department. They even told me, I was not going to receive any bills later. The insurance was ran, not covered portion was paid. What part I don't understand is, the things not covered is being charged after months? That's a loop hole in the billing. I took my appointment weeks after billing and insurance was ran, I have never had this issue with any other dental practice I have been too. read more

I had a horrible toothache all week and knew that I needed a root canal and have been dreading it. I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Kelliny within a day so I was very happy with the quick response. I must say that the entire procedure was so efficient and painless. Dr. Kelliny and his staff are amazing! I would highly recommend going to him if you need a root canal. The only advice I would give is be ready for the pain and soreness after the numbness wears off from the local anesthesia. Just make sure to take the antibiotics and some 2 tylenols! Dr Kelliny utilizes the most advanced diagnostic tools including 3D CT-Scan when traditional X-rays are unable to fully diagnosis an area or concern. The staff was great. Quick easy check-in and I was sitting in the doctor's chair in just a few minutes. My root canal was completed quicker than I expected and without any pain whatsoever. I was referred to Dr Kelliny's office for a redo of a 6 year old root canal. I had an infection due to not all of the root being removed the first time. I would highly recommend this office for endodontic work. The office is amazing. It starts with his staff and extends to the doctor himself. Everyone is so friendly and kind. They listen to your concerns and work with you to make you as comfy as possible. I am a nervous Nelly but also curious and every step off the way they explained what was going to happen. At all times they were ready to stop if I became too uncomfortable or needed a small break. I hope I never need another root canal but if I do - this is where I will go. read more
