Growing up eating authentic Mexican food, not only cooked by my own family but also living in California... perhaps I am spoiled when it comes to what true Mexican cuisine is. This is the complete opposite authentic. To begin, this faux queso nonsense has got to stop. Drenching it on just about every menu item without warning is an act of violence to our tastebuds. Then shrimp was overcooked, and rancid. Not pictured was my steak fajitas, which were so overcooked, it was practically jerky. The rice had zero flavor, and the beans were also flavorless as well. Also, the salsa was literally pace salsa that had been put in individual carafes. So disappointing... Cherry on top was the slow service from start to finish. Great jalapeños margarita. Good service and good food. Not crowded the two times we have been. I get the fajitas vegetarian. Good sized portion and I never leave hungry. I don't know if that's because the portions are good size or if I eat too many chips. Oh the chips and salsa are complementary and they refill the basket often. The salsa is good, too. It's one of my neighborhood favorites! Every time I've gone I try something new and each time the food was delicious! Service is always upstanding and friendly. The drinks are humongous, which works well for my alcohol obsession. We were in the area on our way home, so we stopped for bite. The place was busy. The service was good. The burritos and frozen margaritas looked enormous. I got the fish tacos and my husband had the taco salad. We also got the fried zucchini which could have used less coating and or more seasoning but the portion was large. Hello, I ordered from Torres last night. The food wasn't even edible. I returned it to the restaurant to show the manager I only took a bite and it wasn't eaten. I was insulted by a woman at the pick up window, she was an older woman with glasses. She kept telling me I was lying about the food. She said, she would not refund my order. A man in the back round proceeded to call me a "Punta!" ( which means bitch In English )! I guess they didn't know that I knew Spanish. I also spoke with Javier, at the pick up window who had a little chuckle when I was called a punta. The restaurant would not do anything to rectify the situation. I just wanted my money back. This has  been a horrible experience and a waste of money. Eating out is a luxury and restaurants have forgotten that they need satisfied customers to survive. read more

The food was good and the Yelp Delivery experience was a great one, but this is not your normal every day Mexican restaurant and they are sure to price it as such. We ordered two classes, chicken quesadillas and chicken fajitas. The flavor was nice, but for the "Steakhouse" pricing, I definitely expected more. This is the only place for Mexican food. It is incredible! They have a wide variety and the desserts are out of this world. The staff are all bilingual and can assist with any and all questions! The prices are reasonable and the servings are large! The ambiance is very warm and you can hear the person your with. I can't wait to go back! read more

I actually felt bad for this restaurant, because they opened during the quarantine. That is why we choose to eat there. So we had a to go order and WOW! The food was an amazing. Everyone in my family loved their meal. We also had a margarita to go, which I my expectations were not high at all. It was probably the best Margarita I had locally. I really want to try the peach one next time. The biggest disappointment is that there wasn't enough chips & salsa, which was also second to none. I am it was the correct portion amount, but my family can kill some good chips and salsa. Really are new favorite Mexican restaurant! Good stuff!! And a great addition to the Union area. They actually opened during quarantine and by all appearances seem to be doing well despite every thing going on. That's probably because the food tastes great! My sister and I shared the fajitas for two meal and there was plenty of leftovers. They give you each a serving of chips and salsa so it almost felt like you were dining again in an actual restaurant. I am interested in trying more food they have to offer and will go back! Oh and I almost forgot my favorite part, the Elote street corn. If you've never tried it, it's a must have!! And if you've already tried it, then you already know you need to order it. This place recently opened near my home so we decided to give it a try. It is regularly busy, which we took as a good sign. We called ahead for a carry out order, and I arrived at the appointed time, which was 45 minutes later. Because I had forgotten to grab a mask on the way out the door I decided to use the drive through rather than go inside to pick up my order. Big mistake. There were only four or five cars ahead of me, but it literally took over half an hour for me to get up to the window. By that time the food was cold and we had to put it in the microwave when I got home. The food itself was nothing special. The chips and salsa were yummy and very typical. The refritos were tasteless, and the rather gargantuan burritos were merely okay. I can and do make better Mexican food myself at home. Not recommended. read more

Not the best Mexican food and not the worst. It lack authenticity and I am assuming covid is what made the service to get seated so slow. A family of four gave up after 15 minutes and just walked out when there were three tables open outside but needed to be cleaned off. After flagging down a waiter to seat us we had prompt service. The food was not flavorful or spicy. It was very Americanized. The ceviche is good for those who aren't into seafood as there isn't much in it. The ceviche was more of a glorified pico de Gallo with a tablespoon or two of fine chopped shrimp. The fajitas for two, bean dip, ceviche, and two margaritas were $65. There are better prices in the area for the same quality of Americanized Mexican. read more

I've tried every Mexican restaurant in the area. And no where does it just right, but this place. This place is definitely underrated. We did come in on 12/22/22 right before the big storm. Very glad when we saw them open. Let's start with the friendly staff. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and got sat immediately. After we sat down we got menus and got our drink orders in. The drinks are amazing here. Can't go wrong with what you order. We got a basic meal but it was so good!! Food was very quick to come out and flavorful! We couldn't finish it all because of the portion size but we did get a box to take home. 8/10 good. Can't wait to come back here again. Had the worst experience tonight Torres mexican steakhouse. This was our first visit and we definitely will not be returning. First, and not even an issue until later, our food took 45 minutes to come out, it came out wrong but acceptable for us. Also, our appetizer came out at the same time as our entree and salads but again, it is what it is. It was date night, so the alone time & conversation was nice. We ate. Made Comme ts to each other how their Mexican is probably better and we would try it again. Then our bill came. My meal was listed for $32.99 on the menu, we were charged $48.50. Chris' meal was $24.99 on the menu, we were charged $29.50. Our cheese dip was $3.69 on the menu, we were charged $9.99. Our app was listed for $4.69 and we were charged $4.99. The drinks were different too but whatever. We approached the server with questions and were referred to management. As she cleared the counter of menus and other stuff, she pointed to a sign under everything that disclosed something about price increase. First, I get it. Costs have increased and it trickles down. Secondly, had I been informed from our server or a visible notice then I wouldn't be complaining at all. However, I find it absolutely ridiculous that you don't have it marked out on the menus while waiting for new or have an insert with new prices or even something posted at each table telling customers of the changes.
