    Seaweed salad.

This is a delivered meal, so I am just writing about the food. I will visit the brick and mortar another day. I ordered Curry Chicken and it is prepared with tofu, eggplant, shiitake mushrooms and chicken. The curry was rich and complex, and I appreciated that. Layers of flavor... The spice level said spicy, however I will order a bit more heat next order. The eggplant , tofu and shiitake mushrooms , potato's , added a different take on the dish, and it worked. I did find the curry a bit darker brown than I am accustomed to. It tasted great, and the darker color may be the eggplant adding color. I will order again and update if needed. The seaweed salad is amazing. Perfect mix of spices and vinegar. Crunchy, full of flavor, and delicious. I usually do not post anything about rice, however the brown rice in this order was delicious. It had texture, and such a great flavor. This place is a great addition to the NW side!!

This was our initial visit to this establishment, and we observed that their menu is identical to Ni's Bistro. Our server was exceptionally pleasant and accommodating, ensuring all our needs were met and making us feel very welcome. I particularly appreciate the interior design; the place has been meticulously maintained, appearing very clean and tastefully decorated. Their music selection is also quite enjoyable. I would certainly recommend this location if you have a fondness for Asian cuisine. The food is both delicious and beautifully presented.

What a great addition to the Marana area! We visited on a Sunday early afternoon and it was not busy. The interior is very nicely decorated, spacious, and very clean. There are some fun vending machine toy games that are sure to attract the kiddos! I had edamame and two sushi rolls (one fancy and one regular). The portions were generous! Especially for the deluxe roll. Perfect fish to rice ratio and everything tasted fresh. Prices seem fair. We will be back!

The prices are excellent, I haven't had the chance to dine in yet but ordered to-go from Kirin twice in one week. The fish quality is great, the mussel app is one of my favorites, the employees were very friendly and attentive when I was picking up my take out order. The decor of the restaurant was well done and good location.

Quite possibly the best sushi I've ever had. The rolls were very fresh and a very generous size. We got the first kiss roll, Phoenix roll, and honeybee roll. They were all delicious but the first kiss roll stood out this time for me. 3 rolls is plenty for 2 to share. I started with the garden salad with ginger dressing and the dressing was good enough to drink. The salad is way too small, just a handful of lettuce, so I wouldn't order it again. The service was extremely friendly and they did a great job with the renovations since it used to be Barros Pizza. The same family also owns Ni's on La Cholla. This is an awesome addition to the area. Highly recommend.

So excited to have another sushi place on the north side of town! The same owners have a few other restaurants in northern AZ too. Service was so friendly, multiple people greeted and welcomed us at the door. The fish was fresh and melt-in-your-mouth, our drinks were kept topped up. The rolls weren't overwhelmed with a ton of extra rice, which we love. We sat directly under an AC vent and got very cold but otherwise the restaurant was spotless and inviting with great decor.

Our family of 4 ate at the newly opened Kirin Asian Bistro in Marana at the Arizona Pavilions. I have been looking forward to this for months, it absolutely did not disappoint. I did not get pics of everything (we had an infant with us so a tad preoccupied), but everything was delicious! We started with the firecracker shrimp, the mains were teriyaki steak, triple delight with garlic sauce, & Deluxe poke bowl. In addition we had a yellowtail hand roll (I added masago), & spicy tuna hand roll, pepper tuna nigiri, & the Fire Island Roll. Everything was perfect! I do not like huge rolls nor roll that have a lot of rice, the roll was on spot! Another plus is the wine a great price, $7.50 a glass. So for all those dishes, including 3 glasses of wine & a bottle of pineapple sake our bill was $152ish! I think that is a great price. Also, the service was spot on (they are very kind) and the ambience very nice.

Brand new and starting off right. Great service and great food! Very impressed! We tried the spicy garlic edamame. I order a Philly roll and spicy salmon roll. My son got a salmon roll, tuna roll and California roll. Food was very good and enjoyed the atmosphere.

My wife and I love Kirin Asian Bistro, a great new restaurant in Marana! Tiffany, our server and host, was excellent and provided great service from start to finish. We had the chicken and vegetable tempura, chicken with broccoli, miso soup, mango macha (green tea) mochi, and everything was very good. It's impressive that this restaurant has only been open 5 days -- the service and food were both great. We will definitely be back!

Order pad thai just to test this place out. Nothing special regarding the pad thai. Actually a little disappointed from the 41/50 size shrimp. It's shrimp season btw.

It had great flavor and perfect appetizer to start the meal. The garlic vegetable was slightly overcooked but had great garlic flavor and paired perfectly with our cumin lamb. We got an array of standard fare as well as some things that I don't normally see on menus of other Chinese restaurants around town. The dumplings were good, though I was underwhelmed by the lack of spice on the Spicy Pork wonton dumplings. The flavor was very good, but it was not spicy at all. For entrees, we got Curry Chicken and Cumin Lamb. I'd never had Cumin Lamb before, and it rocketed to the top of my favorites list! It was gorgeously flavorful, fragrant, and spicy, warming as I ate. The spiced oil soaked into the rice, spreading the flavor to every last grain. It's really lovely and I highly recommend it. The restaurant is bigger than it appears from the outside, with a bright, cheerful ambience. Despite being busy, it never felt too loud, which was nice. The servers worked as a team and were very attentive. It was a great meal!

Food: (4/5) Hummingbird nest or something like that:(4/5) It's a bit bland, but it has a good variety of shrimp, scallops, snow peas, and other vegetables on a crispy shell. Good low sodium option in my opinion. Walnut shrimp: (3/5) I'm not the biggest fan of sweet and salty foods, but it was pretty savory and crunchy despite the sauce. Pork intestines: (5/5) These were so crispy and oily. The spicy aroma from the peppers also isn't that unpleasant. Overall a very oil heavy dish and just as delicious. I did order another dish, but it wasn't that outstanding and I forgot the name of it. Service: (5/5) Water refills were frequent and there wasn't much else to it. Everything was quick and efficient. Ambiance: (4/5) Very quiet and dim restaurant. Even talking normally felt very loud. Decor in the walls definitely establishes the vibe. Overall a very nice experience. Prices are fair and portions are good.

Left us questioning the 'freshness' and authenticity. A little generous with my star rating, as we both left more than 75% of our plates behind....settled the bill, tipped, and bounced. Will not return but wish them the best. Regarding service, it was ok, but some of the other comments ring true. For example, in the middle of taking our order - the server asked the gentlemen at the table right next to us who just sat down, "What would you like to drink?" while standing talking to me. Perhaps a little training inside and outside the kitchen would raise the tide across the board.

Promptly seated, drinks brought out, order taken and food delivered fast, hot and correct. The background music was some chinese music tv station playing modern easy listening tunes and, along with the comfortable chairs and solid table made for a relaxing environment. The food? meh. You can see our order in the latest photo and how expensive it was. the Lo Mein was mostly tasteless and certainly lacking in thast "lo mein flavor." Although the meat was tender, the sauce was just a sticky brown sauce. Surprisingly, the Spicy Pickle Tofu was essentially the same sticky brown sauce as the Lo Mein but with some fried tofu in it and without the noodles but nothing otherwise remarkable. You can tell by looking at my earlier picture attached. The old picture shows a bright and colorful plate. The dish today was a dark brown (you could hardly see the tofu from the beef) as everything was just dark. Eggplant seemed to have a similar brown sauce as well but the eggplant was otherwise tasteless. Nothing popped. Chicken bites were bland and not at all crunchy. Just fried to soft texture but no real flavor. According to our server, the menu was just recently updated about a month ago. We noticed because one of our favorites was the Fried Taro Pie which is now gone from the menu and the server said yes, that's right. Maybe this place has a new owner or chef, but it's no longer in my top asian restaurants for Tucson.
