First of all, everything I ordered tasted extremely fresh. Recommendations: - 22. Larb - it's incredible and an excellent refreshing way to get your protein in without the carbs. The lime sauce, mint, fresh red onions & cucumber somehow makes the ground pork feel soo much lighter, than a typical heavy overly sauced pork dish....Seriously just freaking do it. Literally gobbled it down in minutes. - 31. Tom Yum - freaking amazing and fresh. Spicy but as it should be. Amazing rendition of a classic Thai dish! - 62. Pad Kee Mao w Beef - Awesome. Very fresh. On the heavier side, but super tasty and the noodles are so fresh and fantastic. Dessert: Fried Banana w Ice Cream - It was good. The coconut ice cream was my favorite part. The bananas are not the sweet kind and it is heavily fried, so if you are looking for something lighter after you eat, this wouldn't be for you...but it was cooked to perfection. We shared some sunmer rolls with tofu to start and I opted for the #54 spicy crispy chicken basil. The summer rolls were beautifully presented and tasted very refreshing. The peanut dipping sauce went well with the rolls. The chicken was very crispy, with a slightly spicy sauce. It had a good amount of basil and veggies with it too. I'm gonna update this review based on two recent visits within a couple of weeks. Food is excellent and a lot of gluten free options as well. Big plus. Both the Holy Basil Chicken and the Spicy Crispy Chicken Basil chicken dishes are excellent. Spicy Crispy Chicken basil has a great sauce (I really like the tamarind sauce in general, it comes with the wings) and very crispy tender chicken. The carrots are great and while I'm not a fan of red/green peppers, they're pretty good too. Chicken wings are breaded in rice flour so not only are they also gluten free, but they're light and crispy and delicious! Service is GREAT. Last visit our server was Dena and she was so great! She made the experience a lot of fun with her upbeat and friendly personality, her attentive and thorough service, and her menu knowledge. I had been considering trying the Pad Prik Pow Crispy Chicken dish, having already had the Spicy Crispy Chicken Basil and loving that dish but wondering how this preparation varies from it. Dena explained that it's got the peanuts and red onions and big green onions but still the same lightly battered chicken. And she wasn't wrong. It was great. She was just pleasant and helpful and fun. The previous visit our server was Kiara. She's great at her job as well. Very endearing and personable, makes sure you're always taken care of, and we even had a nice conversation about music (based on what was playing in the restaurant at the time) with her (it was a slow time of day so no other diners were harmed during the conversation ). Really like their Pinot Grigio bottle option as well - tastes great and a great price point. my boyfriend and I first stopped in here about a month and a half ago, we were in the mood for a curry, and this was the closest place. We were one of the only ones inside, half of the tables had already been cleaned the chairs flipped on top of them, so we were quickly seated next to the cool little street cart thing that sits next to the front door. we were immediately helped, and our waitress, I forgot her name, was helpful explaining the different flavor profiles of the curry we asked about. just got takeout, as good as the first time. The hostess was very polite, helping me grab my takeout order, made sure I had utensils, extra chili, etc. They don't skimp on the protein in the curry dishes, and made sure they packaged the rice separate from the sauce, so nothing was soggy on pick up. But yesterday, we were craving good Thai food, so we decided to go here, since we remembered how good it was before. Yesterday was kind of disappointing...the food was not as good as before. The Crispy Pork Belly with Chinese Broccoli was not what I expected. The pork was not crispy at all! Not a single piece of pork was crispy. And the Panang curry was bland. The worst item was the strawberry lemonade; please do not order it at this place. It tasted like chemicals, not fresh at all. Never again! We came during lunchtime. This places deserves all the four stars! I've been here multiple times and got something different. Each meal I got was amazing and flavorful! I've tried many Thai places in the Tucson area and there is only one other place that rivals this one. (I did a five star review on the other great Thai place in this town). This has to be one of the better Thai places. Staff here were super friendly and servers were attentive to the needs of the table. Place is super clean with a great atmosphere. Family friendly too. Food is unbelievably flavorful and leaving you wanting more. I read a few reviews about the "heat" being too much. I completely disagree. But then again, I am a fan of spicy hot food. That said, I did not feel the food was spicy hot, it was just right. The couple critiques I will agree with, are some of the meals don't come with sides like rice. At their price point they definitely should. It's not crazy expensive to order a side, but I do agree the sides should come with the meals. The other critique was already mentioned, and it was the prices. It's a little expensive. But when I compare it to other places it's not overpriced as eating out these days just cost more. In the end, this is one of the better Thai places I've been to and can't wait to come back and try something new. I took my friends to Tuk Tuk for dinner and it was the first time I had visited them in a few years. I had the Pad Thai Street Style with Shrimp and my friends Tom Yum Goong and Yum Kor Mu Yoong. My pad thai wasn't good. It was dry and didn't have any flavor. The shrimp were chewy and unappealing. My friend enjoyed the Tum Yum but her husband didn't like the Yum Kor. Again, he said that it was bland. The portions are on the smaller size and can be rather expensive for the amount of food they provide. The service is slow and seem to be a team effort. Costs are going up everywhere and I know staffing can be an issue at times. I try to show grace but I doubt I'll be visiting Tuk Tuk any time soon. read more

I arrived home to find a little bit of chicken in spaghetti noodles (NOT GLASS NOODLES), no bean sprouts and just a sprinkle of egg and 3 tiny chopped pieces of wilted green onion. We drove around the marketplace to see what kind of restaurants were here before going to the Van Gogh Experience. We decided on TuK Tuk Thai. We were promptly greeted and given a preference between two tables. There is a real Tuk Tuk in the restaurant and that was cool. If you order the Thai Ice tea you can get free refills. We ordered Tom Kah Gia, Pumpkin Curry, and Pad See Ew. All three with chicken. There was a-lot of chicken and it was thigh meat, so it was tender and juicy. Just an observation: But I've never had chicken thigh meat at aThai restaurant before. The Tom Kha Gia Soup was good but a little too coconut milky for us. I don't know what Gia means actually. I've only seen and eaten soups that have Tom Kha with no Gia after it. I don't want to knock anything because I don't know if this is actually the super authentic kind of Tom Kha, and I've just never had authentic Tom Kha before now. I loved the pumpkin curry. It wasn't very spicy. I like spicy, but it was probably for the best I didn't have it too spicy. I so wish it had more pumpkin than chicken. I only found 4 pieces of pumpkin. (Sad face.) Pad See Ew had broccolini which I liked. Noodles were dry and it would have been great if the sauce hadn't soaked into them. Overall, it was some solid Thai food! read more

Tuk tuk is decent. I've ordered from here a few times. Pad thai is better than average. Pumpkin curry is good as well as their Pad Prick Pow Chicken. I would stay away from ordering the lunch menus as they are the same price as dinner but they give you less food. For example, the pad prick pow chicken will cost you 16.95 for the lunch meal that comes with rice as shown in the picture - two thirds rice, one third chicken. If you order the dinner dish, it comes without rice, but you get the same container full of chicken for less money. Overall, this place should be called, 'Good enough Thai.' read more

I really liked the flavor of the sauce but felt that there could've been more and I would've loved to choose to add spice. I noticed they didn't have any sriracha or chili to add so there wasn't any spice in the dish which I think could really elevate it. The sauce was so good with the veggies and meat, it just needed more! The server was sweet and attentive and they let us take our time at the meal. This review is based on the online ordering and customer service. We ordered through their website which redirected us to DoorDash. Ordering online seemed fine and normal; however, when I showed up to pick up the order they didn't have it. I left the restaurant and called my wife who sent me the screenshot of the order/receipt. I went back in and they miraculously had my order and it was ready, all in a matter of 3mins. The real problem started when I got home and we received half the amount of food that we normally receive (we are fairly regular customers). We called the restaurant and explained the situation and they told us, in a very hostile manner, that it was our fault. We ordered off the lunch menu (even though it was 6:30pm) which we did not. When we told them how much each dish cost us, they rudely told us the higher price ($7 more than the lunch price) was because of the DoorDash fees. They continued to berate us and tell us we were wrong. We kept telling them how small the portions were compared to what was normal but again, not their fault. They refused to refund us for one entree but instead told us to bring the food back to the restaurant to "exchange" the food. When we said no, they can come get the food they berated us more. Fantastic customer service. Do NOT order through DoorDash because they will rip you off. Do NOT order from Tuk Tuk. Horrible people working at that restaurant and zero admission of fault from them. Tuk Tuk Thai has won best Thai food in Tucson for a reason. They have many delicious food options and their Oro Valley location is nice and open with many murals, a nice outdoor patio, and a Tuk Tuk inside. Our server was very friendly and accommodating, as my favorite dish is the holy basil chicken, which is usually a very spicy dish, but they were able to adjust and reduce the spice level as I requested. The holy basil chicken was delicious, and a very large portion. My husband ordered the pumpkin curry, which he loved. They offer very reasonably priced drinks, but we both love the Thai ice tea, which is addictive, as they have unlimited refills when you dine in. Check them out! read more

We ordered the pad Thai, which was very spicy, just the way my husband likes it. We also ordered spicy chicken and fried rice, both of which were delicious. The only dish I wouldn't reorder is the ice cream with fried bananas. While the coconut-flavored ice cream was both delicious and tasty, the fried bananas seemed to be cooked in sesame oil, which I didn't like. Went to the VanGogh experience with some friends and we decided to get some Thai food afterwards. I've been to the location on Campbell multiple times and have always enjoyed it. We were having an early dinner so we decided to get one appetizer (calamari). two entrees (holy basil chicken, curry noodles) and two desserts (friend bananas, mango/ sticky rice). It was plenty of food for four adults. One of our friends didn't have much experience with Thai food so it was fun to have her try new things. The food was tasty and came out quickly.
