The compressor on my LG fridge died, but thankfully it was still under warranty. LG assigned my repair to Total Appliance Solutions. After seeing the very poor Yelp reviews, I asked LG for another certified provider, but TAS was the only option in my area (West Chester, PA). SCHEDULING: Like many reviewers noted, scheduling was the biggest issue. TAS texted me right away asking for information I had already given LG, but I sent it again. When I clicked the link in their message, I saw an appointment had already been set for the next day with no time window. Although I appreciate the next day service, I had an afternoon commitment, so I called to ask for an estimate. The person I spoke with was courteous and told the window was 8am-6pm, and that I'd get an updated time later. I emphasized I couldn't do anything after 2:30pm. The updated text arrived with a 2pm-6pm window --exactly when I wasn't available! I didn't want to risk rescheduling confusion, so I asked a neighbor to keep an eye out. The next day, despite still being within the hours of 2-6pm, by 5:10pm I had no update as to when the technician would arrive. When I called for a status, the receptionist said the tech was running behind and would arrive after 6pm & asked if that was still acceptable. I agreed, but the lack of communication was stressful and matches many of the complaints here. This is the reason I've deducted one star. SERVICE: Dmitry, the technician, called at 6pm to let me know he was behind schedule and would arrive around 6:45pm also asking if that was okay. I appreciated the courtesy. He showed up exactly when he said he would and was VERY professional, organized, and communicative; especially impressive considering I was his last call of the day. After diagnosing the compressor failure, he explained the repair would take about two hours and gave me the option to reschedule for the next day. He was very respectful of my time. He did a fantastic job replacing the compressor and stayed until the job was done. Never did I feel like he was trying to rush to leave given how late it was and didn't leave until 8:45pm. I wish every technician was like Dmitri. Dmitry is the reason this is a 4‑star review instead of lower. If TAS improved their scheduling transparency and communication, this would easily be a 5‑star experience. If TAS reads this: more technicians should follow Dmitry's example in customer service excellence. He represents your company exceptionally well. read more

Total Appliance Solution is a scam. They came to my house on 1-22 and "repaired" my dryer with electrical tape. Told me I needed to have a drum replaced and nothing since. I have finally found the solidarity to make an appointment again and we set one up. I gave them all the information, and they cancel my appointment with ZERO notice. When I called to ask them why they cancelled my appointment they said because they fixed the issue. Mind you I have a dryer I have had since JANUARY that I still cannot use. BTW the electrical tape has now worn off. This company is a joke. Oh, and if you ask for a manager, they say there isn't a manager that handles customer service, but there is only one manager. I had an extremely poor experience with Total Appliance Solutions. They were sent to service my new Electrolux refrigerator, which began leaking within weeks of delivery and has damaged my hardwood floor. On the first visit, the technician restored the water dispenser but dismissed the leak because it was not actively happening at that exact moment. He told me to record it if it happened again. It did, within two days. I specifically asked for a different technician, but the same one was sent back anyway. During the second visit, there was water on the floor near the left side of the refrigerator, and I showed him videos clearly documenting the leak. Even with visible evidence and repeated failure, he still left without diagnosing or fixing anything because he could not reproduce it during a brief test. I would give it a zero star if I could - Samsung had hired them to come fix my washer; the guys just asked me if I tried the different settings and if I did an self clean cycle which I had stated in the beginning that I did. My clothes all smell and something's wrong with the machine but all he did was look at it and ask those questions that I answered prior and he looked inside the machine to smell and make sure it was clean. Then he said ok and I had to ask what the next steps would be. He asked me to call the company and gave me their card; however shouldn't they reach out to me? And when I contacted Samsung they had said the company had closed my claim ticket...like what?! Horrible. Evgenii came to fix my LG washing machine which was leaking water from underneath the machine. My machine is in an incredibly narrow slot, with a stacked dryer on top. I assumed it was going to be a nightmare to service. Evgenii barely blinked an eye. He climbed up and over, squeezing through a tight gap between the top of the dryer and the ceiling, then dropped down into the equally tight space behind the machines. He opened the washer up, found the broken part, and then somehow parkour-ed his way back up and out. He ordered the replacement part and was back in two days to repeat the whole acrobatic process. It took him maybe fifteen minutes to replace the part. In the process he noticed a hole in my dryer duct, which he went back in to tape. Amazing work, amazing attitude, amazing experience. They sent a technician out who was completely unprofessional and refused to evaluate one of the two issues. Extremely Poor Service - Unreliable and Unprofessional We've had a highly frustrating experience with this company. Their technician, Nikita, has visited our home twice--each visit lasting no more than 5 minutes to look at our frigidaire refrigerator Visit #1: Nikita briefly opened the fridge, took a few photos, and told us he needed to order parts. He mentioned the fridge and freezer would need to be turned off but gave no estimated return date and no explanation of what parts were being ordered. He vaguely mentioned a "restriction" causing coil freezing but offered no specifics. That was our first red flag. After a full week of trying to get an update--during which we lost a significant amount of food and some critical medication--we finally got a call saying he would return on July 3rd to replace the compressor, condenser coil, and evaporator coil. Visit #2: Nikita arrived with nothing but a pair of gauges. He immediately said he couldn't work on the fridge because it was turned off. When questioned, he stated, "We need to know what's wrong." That was our second red flag. I pointed out that if you're replacing the compressor, pressure readings come after the install to ensure it's working--not before. If diagnostics were needed, they should've been done during the first visit, not now. He said he would have to return again. We were told they would come today, but now we're being told Nikita "couldn't make it," with no new ETA provided. On top of all this, getting anyone on the phone is next to impossible. When you do get through, the representatives clearly follow a script, seem unaware of any real updates, and give vague or random time frames. I am starting this review seeing that this company has mostly negative reviews so I guess I am just adding to them. I have an 86inch LG TV that stopped working. LG arranged for this company to check it out since it was still under warranty. It was mounted on a table top stand. A tech came and was very nice. Took pics and LG requested he come back and take TV apart to take additional pictures. At that point two people were needed to do that. They removed TV from brackets, took apart, took pictures and put TV back together. I told them not to put back on stand since it was already determined TV was unfixable. Instead they attached the vertical brackets on back of tv which was unnecessary and I told them that. One bracket came off easily as one of the techs put it in loosely. The other tech used a phillips screw bit and put it so tightly we cannot get it out. I called Total Appliance and asked them to send someone to remove the screw as now we need the vertical bracket for a new TV. The man who answered the phone said he would not send a technician to do that as it is not his job. When I said he was the one who caused this problem he was rude and condescending. I told him I would leave a bad review and he hung up on me in the middle of a sentence. I am going to call LG and tell them what happened as well as the BBB. Just a heads up in case someone (like me) reads reviews before I personally use a company. read more

Never answer the phone and when answered hard to understand, My over was on clean, and after 30 minute, heard a loud bang and sparkes coming out the top, so I unplugged the oven and turned off the gas. after 2 weeks the technician replaced the mother board and left without even turning on the gas and testing the stove! I had an issue with my brand-new Electrolux washer tower. Electrolux submitted a service request to Total Appliance on my behalf. Despite this, Total Appliance claimed there was a "mix-up" and that the work order did not include warranty information--even though it came directly from the manufacturer. I contacted Electrolux again, and they resent the work order. Electrolux also personally called Total Appliance to verbally confirm my warranty coverage. In addition, I called Total Appliance myself, spoke to a representative, and forwarded email confirmation of my coverage. I have screenshots of the original work order and all related communications clearly confirming my valid warranty. After a full day of back-and-forth, Electrolux told me that Total Appliance was now requesting additional proof of purchase--even though warranty coverage had already been confirmed. I sent my receipt, but they rejected it because the model number wasn't listed, despite it being the official manufacturer receipt. There is literally nothing more I can provide. After having Electrolux go above and beyond to prove my warranty coverage, I asked Total Appliance to show me proof that the work order they received was actually missing the information they claimed it was. At that point, Electrolux and I had done everything possible to confirm my coverage--they were the last part of the puzzle. Total Appliance refused to provide any proof that the work order was incomplete. In the end, despite all the emails, the screenshots I provided, and the multiple phone calls -- Total Appliance claimed they never received any of the information from Electrolux, canceled my appointment, and laughed at me during our last phone call. After reading other reviews, it seems things often get even worse once they actually show up--so maybe it's a blessing I never got that far. Avoid this company at all costs. read more

I asked for a flat rate repair for my LG washer (they came recommended by LG) and they contacted me quickly and we set up an appointment. Then I cancelled my repair before they ever came by because I no longer had an issue, before my appointment. To reiterate, they never came by my house. I asked LG for a refund but they refused to refund my "dispatch" fee because Total Appliance Solutions lied (or their technician lied) that they came out to my house to diagnose the issue even when they didn't. I asked them for proof, as I wasn't even home during the time they claim their technician came out. I also have front door video cameras showing that they never showed up during that time. They claimed they had photo proof, that the technician took photos of the unit during his visit, but when I asked them to send that proof to me, they just sent me my own photos that I had sent to LG for diagnostic proof. Their customer service representative I called to ask about this was unhelpful, refused to look at the time stamps of those photos, said their managers were "busy" (of course they were, I'd be shocked if their managers are ever not too "busy" to handle a customer) and hung up on me. This is completely unacceptable and I urge you not to use this business for appliance repair if you can help it. I plan to report them to LG and the BBB and will potentially pursue other avenues as recommended. read more

I reached out to the company to resolve the matter & was told their repair technician didnt do it, even though the pictures they provided me with showed he did. They offered to throw $150 at me to go away and when I said that amount would not come close to replacing the floor, they refused to do anything further. I asked for their insurance company information so I can submit the claim to their insurance carrier for review, and they have ignored my requests. I had a very poor experience with this company back in April 2025. In fact, it was so unpleasant that I just had to take the time to review them in hopes of warning others even if it took me a bit. My LG French Door fridge began to not cool properly shortly after I moved into a new home. A two days went by and I could feel the temperature in my fridge slowly rising and the ice maker eventually stopped working. I contacted LG and since the fridge was no longer under warranty, I decided to sign up for their single-fee service call that cost $399.LG claimed to repairs the fridge (to include parts and labor) at this all-inclusive price. An appt was schedule and Total Appliance Solutions was assigned by LG as the servicing company to preform the repair work. A Total Appliance Solutions tech came to check out the fridge and while he was not the most personable fella around, I didn't care, I just wanted my fridge fix. He spoke very little English but it was enough to understand one another. The tech measured the temp of both the fridge and freezer and then proceeded to take apart a panel in the back of the fridge. Eventually he assembled the fridge back together and said "need new compressor" and "next week I come with compressor, have to order". Again it was enough English to be able to understand the message. A few days went by and when I had not hear back, I reached out to Total Appliance Solutions. When I did, I was told to reach out to LG for update (via text, no one ever answer the phone nor called back). LG proceeded to tell me my claim was denied and that they would be unable to repairs the fridge because of excessive dust and matter under the fridge. I will say there a lot of gunk under the fridge and understandably so since the prior homeowner was 80 years old. I doubt many people clean under their fridge as often as they would clean other more accessible places. Not only did they not give me a full refund, but instead gave me a partial one claiming that Total Appliance Solutions needed to be compensated for the service call. I went back and forth with LG explaining that the text made no mention of this during the visit and that the tech told me that the fridge needed a new compression which the company didn't have in stock and would have to order it and come back to install. LG stated the tech report makes no mentioned of the compressor. Just that the fridge was not cooling due to excessive dust and matter accumulation on the floor underneath the fridge. i tried reaching back to Total Appliance but my calls were never answered. I felt deceived by both LG and Total Appliance Solutions (TAS), specially because that TAS tech looked at me in the eye and told me one thing but lied to LG when he said another thing in this report. Please stay clear of this company. Ultimately, the fridge was repair by a honest tech from a reputable company that services my area and has been around for 33 years. All that my fridge needed was some freon which the new tech did. My fridge has been working like a gem ever since, thanks be to God. Total Appliance Solutions is not an honest company and to me it seems like they'll do what they can, to include lie, to get around their obligations once assigned as a service-contractor. read more

Total Appliance is a scam! I contacted the manufacturer of my oven to report an error code. JennAir confirmed that the circuit board needed to be replaced. The friendly young woman offered to schedule the repair. A week later "Alex" came to my home. He did NOT have the necessary part. He said we owed him $150 for coming by to confirm the error code (JennAir said the repair fee would be $115). Days later Alex called to say that it would take 3 weeks to get the part. I found a local dealer who ordered the appropriate circuit board (to arrive in 1 week) and can send a technician to install it. Tried to call Total Appliance and NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. And...my husband's credit card was charged $159. They added "state sales tax" on the already inflated "service fee". Pennsylvania sales tax is only for goods, not services. We had a terrible experience...charged $350 for someone to come for five minutes, say he was ordering parts, apparently instead write down that the machine was broken due to "misuse" without ever reporting that to us (and we were very gentle with this machine, less than two years old, following the manual to a tee), therefore canceling the warranty (conveniently, for Electrolux), and then refuse to answer the phone or return voicemails for two weeks. Used Total Appliance for a clothes dryer repair at my sister's home in South Jersey. Referred to them through home warranty company. Very pleased with the extra effort by techs Arthur and Naran. Previous owners of house had unfortunately built cabinets and baseboard after installing washer/dryer, leaving sides and tops of machines blocked in and very hard to access or slide out. Some techs would have given up and told us to tear up the cabinets before they could do anything. Arthur and Naran stuck with it and put in a LOT of extra effort and struggle to figure out how to move and slide the machines out to access them without damaging anything. They figured it out, took the dryer apart, cleaned out a ton of dust and dirt and replaced the part. I appreciate their extra effort. read more

I was assigned them through American Home Shield. The service was sub-par. The repairman couldn't not pull out my oven and wouldn't come back until it was done. That cost me an extra $200 and the person had no problem sliding it out. The part was ordered and when it arrived, a date was scheduled. The morning of installation (I took a half day off from work), I received a text that the part was returned since they couldn't remove the oven. It was reordered, took an addition 5 days and finally got repaired. Our oven was not in use for a month. The repairman did not even clean up or take away the box and broken part. Service Tech could not diagnose problem with frigidare refrigerator so he talked to tech support. He decided that the control board needed replacement as well as the other board (not sure what PCB it was). He came back on a Friday for a second visit and replaced the two boards. After a few hours, the issue returned. Could not get hold of anyone so have to wait until Monday to contact the company...not a pleasant weekend. I hope they can fix it and not charge for another visit. I will follow-up. read more

This company is a huge scam. They will do anything to not have to do the required work. They sent me a "repairman" that spoke no English with no company information on the car or employee. The man could not even pull the fridge out. He took a couple of readings and tested the outlet which he then broke and told me there was an open ground. He then spoke to someone on the phone in another language, used my bathroom then stole the repair parts and left me with a still broken fridge. When you call them they give you an attitude.
