The repair person, Alex from TOTAL APPLIANCE (who didn't speak English real well) did not fix my issue and furthermore complicated matters by changing my FUNCTIONAL problem to a COSMETIC one which would not be covered under the wtty. Terrible company. First the guy got sick, never showed up for the appointment. He finally showed up, ordered the parts. I waited another week, called them, they said my warranty had the wrong model number. I called the warranty company, they had put the wrong number in. Then Total Appliance solutions came again, ordered the part, told me that it should take a few days. Then I get an email from the warranty company that they will not cover because the technician send pictures with some roaches, and that would cancel my warranty. Tech came to "repair" my LG washer. He was contracted from LG for the repair. He spent the whole appointment on the phone and didn't talk to me until he was practically running out the door. Big language barrier. When he finally determined what the problem was-an OE error-he repeatedly showed me the OE error coming up when he ran diagnostics and said I needed a new drain pump. He said he would look at some other inlet valves and filters as well but I needed a new drain pump. He said he cleaned the inlet filters and said that fixed the problem. But when he went to show me again in diagnostic mode my machine was still giving the drain pump error code. Then he practically ran out of my house! I kept telling him that cleaning out the inlet filter is not fixing the problem of the faulty drain pump and I wanted a new drain pump. He said he would order it through LG and to make a new appointment in a few days for final repair. Well guess what-he lied. He told LG he fixed my machine. He did not and I paid a lot of money for it to be fixed and it's not. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. They're running a scam read more

Horrible horrible business. Most Unprofessional company I have ever worked with. Came out to "repair" my washing machine and instead of repairing caused me a different problem and left the hoses leaking. Told me I have to switch the hot and cold hoses on the washing machine (hoses were installed by Home Depot in 2021 and haven't had any issues until now) and it was not his responsibility. So they came out to repair, but caused a leak instead. Washing machine is still broken and now leaking. Stay far away from this company!!! Stay far away from these people. I NEVER leave bad reviews. Never. But this is the most unreliable and unprofessional service company I've ever dealt with. My washer worked perfectly fine except I could not remove the drain plug. Technician came out and made the repair ($105 for the call, $300 for the repair). I start a load of laundry, and now my washing machine shakes like it's about to blast off. I leave a message on their after-hours service. No return call. Call the next day, explain the situation, and of course the guy tells me it can't be the tech's fault, but he'll call me back. Never calls back. I call him the next week. Same story - he'll set up a tech to come look and call me back. Never calls back. Track him down a third time - a Thursday - he says he'll call me back later that day to let me know when a tech can come out. Shocking twist... he doesn't call. I call him again on Monday, finally corner him into a day and time for the tech. Tells me I'll need to pay for the service. I argue saying the washing machine worked just fine before the tech's got his hands on it. He eventually agrees to a 15% discount. Tech shows up 45 minutes after the arrival window. Before he starts working, he wants me to pay $105. I tell him about the 15% discount and apparently he's never heard of it. He looks at the washer, tells me what the problem is, says his company will get back to me with an estimate for the repair, and wants me to pay the $105. Again I mention the 15% discount. Now the manager calls me back and says the discount wasn't for the service call, it was for the repair. The story goes on but I'm just exhausted from the whole miserable experience. I called Total Appliance to fix my dryer, which was not getting hot enough to dry my clothes. They came out and gave me an estimate and charged me for the house call. They called the next day with a cost to repair the problem. I paid 50% down with the understanding that they were going to come out and fix the dryer heat problem. They came out again and made the problem worse. My dryer is now venting hot moist air into the room instead of into the exhaust tube. This was not the case before they pulled out the unit and disconnected the vent. They have charged me for the balance and refuse to come out to fix their shoddy work. I now have to pay another company to fix their "repair." I have called numerous times and the person who answers the phone does not care at all, and the supervisor (Alex) does not return my calls. I called LG about a broken refrigerator. They sent me to Total Appliance Solutions. Their repairman, Pavel, was nice and quickly found the problem. The freezer fan wasn't working, and a new part had to be ordered. I was told to unplug the refrigerator so that any ice buildup would melt. When the repairman, Pavel, returned, he installed the new fan and was fast. I'm happy with a working refrigerator. The issue was that it took 9 days for the 2nd visit. Maybe in the future LG can give the spare parts in advance, so repair companies can have them in stock for customers. read more

Our LG over the stove vented microwave started making noise. I called LG and they sent Total Appliance Solutions. Of course when the tech arrived the microwave was NOT making the noise. The guy left and then called me and said he would order the parts of what was likely the problem. I did question that to myself, but I let it go. They texted a few days later and scheduled the appt. Keep in mind they don't ask you what is convenient for you they just text you a date and time. 10 minutes before the tech called and said he would be there soon and if I had the microwave off the wall. I said, "why would I take the micro off the wall. I'm not the tech." Long story short he said he needed it off the wall. I said I'm not doing that. He said he would call his supervisor and get back to me. I have not heard from them since. I tried calling and got no response. They have ghosted me. I would not recommend them. Worst experience ever dealing with a company. After purchasing a brand new oven, one of the glass doors was broken. The manufacturer uses this company to repair warranty issues. After promising a delivery date by one employee, the other went back on their word. I offered to pick up the piece and they would not allow it stating "they would not get paid"...then after finally scheduling a delivery date, they were no call/no show. After scheduling again with a 4 hour window, they were 3 hours late. Then after installation,they left the house looking like this. With a 6 month old puppy and 2 kids. Thousands of pieces of glass, didn't throw out trash, and left chips on the tile. Worst customer service, actual service, and company EVER. My freezer door cracked due to stress, had this company come look at it the refrigerator company wouldn't replace it so the worker who came for the service scammed them shut my water off took a video of the water not coming out so they would replace the whole door. He comes with the new door, I had to leave my baby sitter was here so I didn't get to see until the next day the door isn't on straight ice is built up all inside the freezer because air is getting in and the water dispensing squirting two ways. I contacted him he told me he'll come look now a week later completely ignoring me. I call this company the guy on the phone tells me to call the company back to open a new ticket for what? I recently had a repairman from Total Appliance Solutions, a Frigidaire authorized dealer at my home because the icemaker in my 2 year old Frigidaire freezer was not making ice. I knew I would be charged $100 for a diagnosis but extent of the diagnosis was the repairman sticking his finger in the ice tray saying yes you need a new icemaker there's no water in the tray. I asked him if could I have a bad water valve and his response was no that's usually not the problem. Was that a proper diagnosis? NO! The quote for the repair was in the neighborhood of $500. I had a second company JS Appliance NY for $125 come to address the icemaker issue because I was not comfortable with what the first company did and this repairman spent less than 10 minutes in my home arriving at the same conclusion that I needed a new icemaker for in the neighborhood of $600. Disgusted with both companies, I took matters into my own hands and based on their spontaneous diagnosis I found a factory new icemaker online and installed it for $65 only to find the icemaker was still not making ice. Both companies did not spend appropriate time in diagnosing my icemaker problem. Each company would have had me spend hundreds of dollars and the problem would not have been fixed. I can only imagine I would have been told that not only was my icemaker bad, I also had a bad water valve as well and the cost would have been added to the high bills already incurred. In a last ditch effort to find a solution myself, I troubleshot the water valve and while I had to pull the freezer from the wall, a minor inconvenience, had they done that they would have easily found the water valve to be defective, and I am not an electrical engineer. For a factory new water valve for $63 including tax and shipping I easily fixed the problem myself. Had I taken the initiative initially, I would have saved several hundred dollars in useless diagnosis. In conclusion, don't be misled by factory authorized repairmen who are so called experts or are crooks because it's apparent that many will try to take the easy way out at our expense!!! read more

Both machines were $500 each to repair. The dryer repair was good, but my washing machine continued to have the same problem after the repair. Now I have to pay another company to fix it. Another horrible review for this slimy company. They are contracted by Electrolux/Frigidaire to do their Fixed Price Repair service. Total Appliance is next to impossible to get a hold of. They do not call to schedule an appointment and when you try to call them to see what the status is (whether you even have your scheduled appointment) they only pick up the phone about 5% of the time. AND when we were able to get a hold of someone there, they told me they needed to reschedule - after two weeks of waiting for his appointment. When a tech did come out, he did some basic troubleshooting and then said he had to go on to his next appointment- without solving anything. He told be to call back for another appointment. But he had marked the service as complete for Electrolux (so that they could get paid out) so Electrolux had to make an entirely new ticket for me (after 2hrs of confusion on the phone.) Horrible experience overall. I will make sure I will never be using anything associated with them again. read more

I purchased a washer dryer combo from Amazon with protection plan which was Assurant. the drum in the washer broke during the spin cycle also causing the door to pop off the top hinge. Total Appliance Solutions was the servicer sent. i was given a 4 hour window which they arrived an hour an half past that. The "tech" showed up in a car with a $10 tool bag. He looked at the washer for all of 2 mins, taking nothing apart, left mumbled he will file a report with Assurance. Of course the "report" says physical/accidental abuse voiding the plan. Never use this company. When I emailed them to share the pictures of the damage, they said that it wasn't't their fault. It was Julia who refused to do anything about it and actually blamed me for the damage. She is a horrible human being who does not deserve your business. Find another company. My dryer door had broke and we contacted LG DIRECTLY instead of going through PC Richard & Son in order to get this resolved quickly. It has been a MONTH and a half and we still don't have our dryer fixed. The first time someone came in to "diagnose" the problem ended up just taking a picture of the door and left. He didn't tell us how or why the dryer glass door broke or give any insight on the matter. We had taken a picture ourselves and sent all the information weeks prior to his arrival. I took off of work for nothing. Then WEEKS later he comes back with the WRONG door. He didn't clean up his mess and he just left broken glass sitting there in the kitchen. He stated he had to come back with the correct door but didn't give us a timeframe. We have been calling and have been getting the run around. It has not been fixed to this day. Last thing we heard was a week ago and a service representative stated that they had just ordered the new part even though the last time the guy came was WEEKS ago. I have never been so frustrated and upset with a company before. read more
