I had never seen a Chiropractor before but I was in a lot of pain because of my sciatic nerve and quite frankly I was desperate! I did not want to take steroids and so my wife asked around and many friends we know highly recommended Dr. Ed Thomas and Total Body Healthcare. I have to admit I was very wary at first but after meeting Dr. Ed and listening to him describe my issue and then formulate a plan for recovery my opinion quickly changed. Dr. Ed gave me my first adjustment and let me know right off that my pain would probably get worse before getting better but would soon respond to treatment and heal faster with regular chiropractic care. Boy was he ever right! My hip felt horrible right after that first treatment but a few hours later I was finally able to tolerate walking again for more than a few steps. Dr. Ed gave me stretches to do at home and included massage therapy in my treatment plan and by the end of that first week I was able to return to work. By the end of the second week I was back on my treadmill at home running! I have been seeing Dr. Ed for just over one year now and though I have had a few more episodes of sciatica pain, each occurrence lasted less than a week compared to my first which lasted over two months before coming to see Dr. Ed. In addition, I had a really bad neck which was not allowing me to sleep well at night. Because Dr. Ed focuses on total body healthcare which includes adjustments to your entire spine, my neck is doing much better and I am sleeping more comfortably at night. Dr. Ed and his staff are fantastic! I have been seeing Dr. Ed for 7 years now. I started seeing him for a very specific injury but quickly realized that total spine alignment from neck to sacrum was vital for my health. In the beginning I was seeing Dr. Ed everyday but as I listened to his advice on exercise, nutrition, and supplementation I recovered quickly and was able to scale back my visits to once or twice a week. As I continued to improve under Dr. Ed's care I was able to reduce my visits to once a week and now I am coming in once a month. Last week, my upper and lower back became really tight and was hurting no matter what I tried to relieve the discomfort. It was not time for my monthly visit but I dropped by the office as a walk-in to see if Dr. Ed could see me. They got me in right away and once I told Dr. Ed what was going on he immediately went to work, and I cannot express my relief after the chiropractic adjustment he performed. I've been suffering with pain for several years and had no luck with the vast number of doctors that I've seen, in three different states. Most just wanted to push pills on me and move on to the next patient. Dr. Ed was the first to actually explain the causes for some of my pain and to alleviate some of it in order to give me some measure of relief. I have been seeing Dr Ed as a patient for around 9 or 10 yrs. When I 1st started as a patient with Dr Ed I had really thrown my lower back out and was in much pain bending over or twisting to my left.
