He abruptly responded, "Name?" After I gave him my name, he put me on hold without saying a word. A few minutes later, he came back on the line, but I couldn't clearly hear what he said, so I politely asked him to repeat it. His response was, "We're super busy in the store, okay? Your medication is ready," and then he hung up. The next day, I went through the drive-thru to pick up my medication. I waited for a while, and no one greeted me or acknowledged that I was there. I finally pressed the call button, and the woman who answered rudely said, "We saw you. We're busy in the store." I'm not sure why they seem to think customers can somehow see how busy they are over the phone or through the drive-thru speaker. Being busy is understandable, but there's no reason to be rude. A simple, "Thank you for waiting. We'll be right with you," would have made all the difference. Courtesy and basic customer service shouldn't disappear just because the store is busy.

I've been here quite often (we come here about 2x/month) especially because this location is dog friendly (your dog has to behave though or they can ask you and your dog to leave) and because I've bought a little bit from each aisle in this location (over the total amount of times that I've been here). I love that this location is open until midnight (I'm pretty sure they stop serving ice cream before midnight though) and there's been plenty of late nights that I've come here to buy something I need for late at night or last minute. There's usually always customers in this location shopping for something here and the employees have always been friendly and even talkative, at times. The pharmacist claims she "goes above and beyond" for her patients, but that is absolutely not true. I've already reported the issue to my insurance and filed a formal claim against this pharmacy. If you don't mind being treated like you don't matter, then by all means stay with them. As for me, I receive far better customer service at the Fountain Valley location, and that's where I'll continue to go. Rude!

She works at the Huntington Beach CVS Pharmacy at the corner of Garfield and Brookhurst. Tara always appears to be focused and friendly. Recently she helped me with a couple of prescriptions. They were a little challenging in terms of refilling them, and I felt like I had a friend on the other side of the counter, looking out for me. I went in to ask a question about a medication for my ailing brother. All I had was a picture of the bottle with the name of the medication. I knew chances were slim to none that I would be able to get anything done, but there is a way of treating people with kindness and patience; this pharmacist was none of that. She was short and her face showed a basic annoyance when I asked her for help in getting some advice as to how to move forward. It was as if she "couldn't be bothered," even though there was no one else around. I hope that there is training available to these young pharmacists to help them treat their patients with kindness and respect and just basic courtesy.
