She works at the Huntington Beach CVS Pharmacy at the corner of Garfield and Brookhurst. Tara always appears to be focused and friendly. Recently she helped me with a couple of prescriptions. They were a little challenging in terms of refilling them, and I felt like I had a friend on the other side of the counter, looking out for me. Extremely frustrating experience with the pharmacy…read more I've been trying to get assistance with an insurance verification issue for my medication since the pharmacy opened, and after approximately four hours, I still have not been able to get the help I need. I understand pharmacies get busy, but being unable to reach someone who can actually address the issue or provide a clear resolution for several hours is unacceptable especially when the issue involves access to medication. I also asked to speak with management because I wanted someone to take ownership of the situation. Unfortunately, my experience has left me seriously concerned about the communication, accountability, and customer service at this location. I'm sharing this review because I think customers should be aware of my experience before relying on this pharmacy for time-sensitive medication needs. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves communication and responsiveness for patients and customers.

CVS seems to have updated their automated telephone system... And it no longer works for refills. I…read morecalled several times to refill a prescription, and the automated system confirmed I have refills available and confirmed that they sent a refill request. However, that request never actually makes it to the pharmacy. It's too bad - the pharmacists and staff at this location are excellent. They confirmed the issues over the past few months, and noted that several customers have complained. Still, no action has been taken and until their automated system is fixed, CVS is a 1* company that I would not recommend.
