CVS seems to have updated their automated telephone system... And it no longer works for refills. I called several times to refill a prescription, and the automated system confirmed I have refills available and confirmed that they sent a refill request. However, that request never actually makes it to the pharmacy. It's too bad - the pharmacists and staff at this location are excellent. They confirmed the issues over the past few months, and noted that several customers have complained. Still, no action has been taken and until their automated system is fixed, CVS is a 1* company that I would not recommend. read more

I have been to this CVS Store-Pharmacy several times . This CVS is really big, clean, and well stocked with products for every need or want. I came in to buy baby formula and came out with over the counter cosmetics products that I had seen on TV commercials. I was influenced by the TV commercials and I had to try them out!... The cashier service was friendly and polite. My most recent visit was to their drive-thru for a covid test. I made the appointment on their website - it was easy to select the location, date, and time. I selected this location because it's conveniently located near me. I came in to the drive thru at my scheduled time and the staff member provided the test kit with instructions. I got the test results within 24hours. The staff is always friendly. It's very clean and super convenient. I like that you get credit for some of your purchases. There is an issue with picking prescriptions in line so if possible to use the drive-through I think it's always a great idea if you don't need anything else. read more

Today I arrived to the pharmacy drive thru at 8:59pm, my son had lost his inhaler and has severe asthma. When I came to the window the pharmacy tech, Brianne W, told me they were closing so they wouldn't be able to help me, I pleaded with her that it could be life or death for my CHILD without his inhaler, and she proceeded to LAUGH at me, and respond "no it's not you can't die from asthma". I know first hand that you can, I don't believe that pharmacy techs should be giving medical advice. Kevin, the pharmacist , was amazing, and proceeded to help me after Brianne belittled my situation and closed the window on my face. read more

The reviews say it all. Too bad the pharmacy isn't a separate entry. I have purchased many things from CVS and it has been great every time. The pharmacy is a different issue. I called a prescription in and talked with a very rude female. I was thinking this was a new staff member BUT after reading the other reviews, I see where the problem is. Not sure how this employee is still around or at least put under some type of probation. Is you don't know how to handle an employee like this please notify the department of labor. This pharmacy deserves zero stars. This is mainly due to Anne, who has been there for a number of years. She is condescending, rude, and will deliberately sabotage your prescriptions. For example, this month I got my regular medication refilled. The first message I got from her was that it was too early to fill the prescription, which was a lie because I was actually five days late getting the prescription. When confronted with this, she said she was out of the medication. That was the second lie, and then she sent another message saying that the prescription wasn't clear. That was the third lie since the pharmacist has been working with my doctor for a few months and knows the prescription. CVS needs to get rid of Anne. She makes getting medication I need to live near impossible. She has a vindictive attitude and to make matters worse, she can barely speak English. it's amazing that they let her work with English-speaking people. read more

The following is only based for the customer service for the pharmacy dept. It's sad that after you asked politely someone could not be bothered. It was the second Friday that the home covid test kits had been made available to purchase or until sold-out. The man behind the counter proceeds to tell me "He had no idea if they had any!" Okay I go to the cashier. Only one cashier was available around 10ish am. She is politely helping a customer. After a few minutes of wait (no big deal) I finally got to asked her about the covid kits and guess what she said? "We sold out last Friday with in the first hour!" "wow" I was just dumb founded. So then my question to you reading this with authority. Why not post a sign? "Sold Out Sign?" Just common courtesy and no need to stress out the short staff/crew. Your cashier was lovely and it's not her fault that the man at the pharmacy could not be bothered. Okay maybe the dude at the pharmacy was not aware? Okay then maybe post a "Sold-Out" sign? TO prevent all miss understandings. Otherwise located with front row parking and a big clean store with lovely cashiers. Great to grab some items but not a fan of the pharmacy dept. just a dry square crowd. The lovely young blonde cashier made it a bit better with her honesty and politeness. read more

One of the managers at the store, an older man with a goatee, did not offer any warmth or kindness to any of the people I watched him interact with. When I asked for help with printing pictures, he took my phone out of my hands without asking and offered no functional solution to the item I was struggling with. Then a woman was checking out with her daughter and he again offered no greeting, and instead took every opportunity to make subtle digs at her as she tried to check out, not even offering help he could have with removing tags for items they wanted to wear as they left. Then when I was checking out, I hadn't done the process correctly and instead of clarifying he went to get the pictures out of a different printer than I'd thought they'd be in. Honestly if this is how a manager interacts with his customers, I'd be mortified to find out how he treats his staff. I think he could afford some training on guest interactions--I don't think everyone needs to smile all of the time. I just think that customers should be treated with kindness and respect--not derision. read more

If I could give the pharmacy zero stars, I would. Whether it's Ann or the Eastern European lady, or anyone else, prepare to be misled and treated like a criminal for picking up regularly prescribed medication. The pharmacists regularly delay refills beyond the month, blaming a shortage, which is false, because they enjoy being vindictive. For whatever reason, these strip mall pharmacists feel that they are more knowledgeable than your doctors and will interject themselves into your care. Furthermore, my wife and I have regularly heard pharmacy staff complaining about customers regarding their insurance or medi-cal, and making derogatory statements about their inability to pay. The character of the pharmacy staff is reprehensible, openly talking about patient medication and/or financial constraints when other customers can hear is unacceptable. I look forward to the day when robots replace these rude and mean pharmacists. read more

If i could go lower, I would. The pharmacy staff is THE WORST. Condescending and very unhelpful. The service supposedly provided for delivery is not non-existent. I have requested delivery twice and twice it has been cancelled because the driver said the line was too long. When it was cancelled - BOTH TIMES - No one contacts you from the store - you get an email saying it was cancelled and no one at the store attempts to call or correct the situation. This is deplorable for a company that is supposed to provide SERVICE - not delivering life saving medication because the line is too long and no one attempting to re-schedule or reach out to correct the situaton?!!!! I am being generous by giving this CVS 2 stars. Really it needs to be shut down unless they plan on doing a major renovation. This CVS is one of the stores that the accountants at CVS headquarters in Rhode Island look at every year and conclude that they are not doing enough volume to justify fixing it up, but it marginally makes money so they don't pull the switch and they don't want to admit that the Walgreens across the street is beating them up. This is not an indictment of the nice helpful employees that work here--it's just that with old dirty stained carpets, graffiti on the bathroom toilet seats, mold, a small CVS footprint so they can't sell the entire line of products, and a dismal feel when you enter, I hope to never enter this store again. I was in the area and thought why not shop here instead of my usual CVS in Santa Monica, and depression set in the moment I entered. I could not believe what I was seeing. If I could give zero stars I would. This CVS clearly does not care about their paying customers. When you call the pharmacy to ask about your prescription, they make you wait for hours only to hang up on you. Khoi, the pharmacy technician, is condescending, rude and clearly has an inferiority complex. The way he treated my brother who had just come out of surgery and was trying to get his pain meds was atrocious. Even other bystanders called him out on his callous and unreasonable behavior. Zero stars--Pharmacy issued incorrect amount of tablets (not the first time dispensing from this RX so should have been easy "refill "). Was instructed their "system error" and instructed how I could take additional steps to bypass their systems auto generated incorrect instructions; not to mention additional time and errand to correct their problem. Not to mention offering no apology or explanation as why first time filling was 90 day supply and refill only 14. Rude and will be transferring back to Costco where I've never had an RX error. read more

I had my prescription (asthma inhaler; necessary for living for me) sent over to this pharmacy on a Monday. By Friday, I still hadn't heard anything so I figured I should call since it had been almost a week. When I did call the lady on the phone said "Oh, we didn't fill it for you because we didn't think you'd want it since it's expensive." Here are my thoughts on that: A: Call and let me know how much it will be and let me decide if I want it. B: Fill it and let me know to come pick it up. If I don't want it, I won't pay for it. It's an inhaler...easy to put away. The medication did end up being VERY expensive because they didn't do the generic, BUT, give the courtesy of calling and not just leaving me hanging wondering what is happening. Just bad service and whoever answered the phone was rude. read more

I went surfing out here, mind you coming from LA, and a friend told me that the beaches over here, are saturated with sting-rays. Well, just as I was heading out the water, one whipped across my feet. Considering how this was a first time for me, and all I've heard about sting rays, were to piss on the wound, I called the closest CVS to see what to do, considering they've probably seen this on more than one occasion. Kelly, the snr. pharmacist, was beyond insightful and delightful to speak with. Her demeanor told me that her passion is definitely in helping other people to the best of her capacity. CVS is extremely lucky to have her, especially with such a low reviewed location. Typically low reviews mean the culture there is not where it needs to be. So for them to have someone as valuable and knowledgeable as Kelly, they definitely should count their blessings! read more

I dislike writing reviews but this is a serious mistake that should be made public. I selected CVS on Bolsa Chica in Huntington Beach, CA for my COVID-19 booster and shingles vaccinations. This is the biggest medical mistake I've personally be involved with.The nurse did not follow standard medical procedures. She did not verify my full name and date of birth. Unfortunately there were two Timothy's in the waiting area. Fortunately we were there for the same COVID vaccination. But the outcome is clear, the nurse injected wrong person. After unwrapping the the COVID injection mess some time later, the proper procedure for my shingles injection was not followed again; no verification of first and last name and date of birth. Not only that, the nurse did not clean the injection area before the injection. This could possibly lead to serious complications of staph or other infection. The pharmacy manager was not present for all of this so I returned a hour later to advise her what had happened. The manager was giving injections when I arrived. Once I was able to talk to her she listened patiently to my story and was friendly as was the other staff. She said she would talk to the nurse. Much more than a talking to is warranted in my opinion. This is a really big screw up. One that's hard to overlook. I won't be going back to this CVS for vaccinations. read more

This is literally the slowest and worst CVS I've ever been to. It's taken a full 7 days for fill a regular monthly BC prescription, I finally called 4 days in and was told they didn't have the BC. My doctor sent a different order for me, still nothing. Called on day 7, they asked if I could come in a few days. A FEW DAYS? I'VE WAITED A WEEK. I'm actually writing this as I've waited 18 minutes in the drive thru. Finally made it to the front and the second lane is no longer open. This place is a joke of a pharmacy and I will NEVER use them again. read more
