Don't ever use Greyhound. They will take your money and leave you with nothing. We paid for ticket…read moreusing their 3rd party and never received it. We received a text message with a link saying that the payment for said barcode was successfull but no ticket. We waited overnight and called. The customer service representative said there is NOTHING he can do. No ticket in the system. And WE HAVE THE SCREENSHOTS TO PROVE IT.

When I was young and broke and in college, I took Greyhound to almost every distant place I…read morevisited: Boston to Montréal: Los Angeles to Vancouver: New Orleans to Orlando: Chicago to Charleston SC: San Francisco to New York to Boston to Washington DC to Quebec to Denver: and finally from Chicago to Boston and Boston to New York (about ten times round-trip each because I went to College Boston and my cousin lived in NYC so my mother would often meet me in New York for brief holidays like Thanksgiving and Birthdays). And I am not kidding about the number of times I traveled by Bus (and even more times than I listed above if you count the Trailways Bus Lines, plus Megabus, BoltBus, Lux Bus America, Vamoose, and RedCoach. Founded in 1914, Greyhound Lines, Inc. is the largest provider of intercity bus transportation, serving 2400 destinations across North America with a modern, environmentally friendly fleet. It has become an American icon, providing safe, enjoyable and affordable travel to nearly 16 million passengers each year in the United States and Canada. The Greyhound running dog is one of the most-recognized brands in the world. Greyhound is now the biggest bus company out of all of them, at least in the United States. They cover all states except Alaska and Hawaii, which both have their own State initiated long-haul bus services. Amenities on all Greyhound bus routes include Wi-Fi, power outlets, restrooms, air conditioning, and reclining seats; with some bus routes including video monitors for movies and tourism/travel videos. In 1987 Greyhound Lines came under new ownership. Greyhound Lines later acquired the former Continental Trailways company, the largest member of the Trailways system, effectively eliminating a large portion of Greyhound's bus competition, which included the other Main bus companies in the US, such as Megabus, BoltBus, Lux Bus America, Vamoose, and RedCoach. COVID-19 caused a 95 percent drop in ridership. Thus, Greyhound reduced service on March 25, 2020 and suspended six routes on April 5, 2020. On May 6, 2020, Greyhound Canada announced it would permanently shut down all its remaining bus services which it did on May 13, 2021. One of the reasons that I traveled so often on Greyhound's Bus Lines is because Greyhound offered Weekly, Monthly, Bi-Monthly and Tri-Monthly Bus-Passes at a substantial discount. This allowed me to actually "Travel" and even Tour different parts of North America including most of southern and central Canada, Northern Mexico, and nearly every State in the United States. This was a Great way for me to travel... at least when I was younger.

I was on party bus duty for my daughter's recent high school dance. I priced out a few companies…read morewith party buses and 312 Limo was the most reasonable price. To be honest it was still a little expensive considering they were driving from Wilmette to Northfield to Glencoe, but less than the other: $840 for a 3 hour minimum for a party bus of 28. We also didn't need it for the entire 3 hours, but the options I found were either one way or 3-4 hour minimums so this was the best deal. I found their communication to be stellar both via email and text. The bus driver was on time and the kids had no trouble locating the party bus when they came out of the dance and I've heard it was one of many party busses. A few of my daughter's friends hopped on for the way home and commented that this bus was way nicer than the one they took to the dance from another company. Overall, it was a success. The parents could have easily driven these kids ourselves, but the party bus elevated the experience and the kids all seemed to enjoy the VIP treatment.

For the finale family event for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary, we wanted to surprise them…read morewith a limo into Chicago for lunch and to the cathedral where they were married. After researching local companies, I decided to go with The 312 Limo, and everything was an exceptional experience. After setting up a quote online, I was able to reserve the date and put down a deposit. All the policies were clearly explained and the communication was in a very timely manner. Since the limo was a surprise for my parents, I was able to note that when making the reservation, as well as select the stops and approximate timing for the day. I received confirmation reminders prior to the reservation. When the big day arrived, I received a text from Harris letting us know that he was down the street. He wanted to be sure that he didn't arrive too early and spoil the surprise. I was able to let him know how the timing was going, and he was ready with the door open as my parents came outside. They were so surprised that it didn't really sink in until they got inside and saw how incredible everything looked. There were waters and sodas with ice for us, and Harris had set the air at the perfect temperature. The ride to lunch was so smooth. Even in horrible Lake Shore Drive traffic, Harris navigated through the turns like a pro. He opened the doors for us and we agreed to communicate when we had 10-15 minutes of lunch remaining. Although getting our bill for lunch took longer than expected, Harris was so patient and had the limo ready when we finally made it downstairs. From there, we made a quick stop for photos at the church where my parents were married and then headed back home. Harris was absolutely outstanding for the whole afternoon and made the trip flawless. I will definitely be using The 312 Limo if I ever need a ride for a special occasion in the future. My parents are still gushing about how lovely it was, and it made the end to their 50th wedding anniversary celebrations truly memorable!
