For those who follow my reviews, you know I'm now a Hayward girly--and Livermore is definitely a trek. So how did I end up out here? On the glowing recommendation of good friends in Pleasanton, I was told about Dr. Haque back in late March when I was dealing with some stubborn foot pain. At first, I tried to resolve it through consistent massage therapy with my girl Sneha at Shanti Healing in Hayward (shoutout to her, she's amazing). But after three months of weekly/biweekly sessions, she gently let me know there was something deeper going on with my lower back--and that it was time to call in the pros. Enter Dr. Haque. I booked my initial visit through their website and got a text back to come in the very next day (they're open M/W(full day)/F). The intake process was thorough: foot scans (Foot Levelers), movement tests, pain point assessments, and baseline x-rays. What I appreciated most? No high-pressure tactics, no rushed adjustments. Dr. Haque takes the time to review everything first to determine if treatment is appropriate--plus, the entire first visit was free. I was back that Monday to review the results and go over care options. I want to note--I'm an entirely out-of-pocket patient since Kaiser doesn't make chiropractic care easy. Dr. Haque offered three treatment plans tailored to different levels of intensity, and I chose the most aggressive one: several months of 3x/week visits targeting my sciatica and TMJ. I'm just about a month in, and let me tell you--the difference is real. * My posture has noticeably improved * TMJ pain? Practically gone after the first few adjustments * Sciatica? Finally easing up around week 3 * I've started wearing orthotic inserts to help with fallen arches and will update as I break them in more Next up: I'm trying their StemWave treatment this week, especially since I've had some success with TENS therapy. I'm also planning to see one of their massage therapists since my usual is on medical leave--I'll report back on both. Long story short: Dr. Haque and her team are the real deal. Professional, knowledgeable, kind, and committed to helping you feel better--not just throwing temporary fixes at your symptoms. My only wish? That they were located closer to Hayward! This is to up-date my review from 11-18-2018 about the damage to my T8/T9 area in my spine I received at Haque Chiropractic during treatment. Which I might say is still sensitive today. My symptoms have changed in the last few years to include symptoms to my left arm upon waking up in the AM or during the night with a numb feeling arm. Also during the day my left middle, forefinger and thumb will feel numb. Also both arms have gotten weaker at times to the point I don't grasp well when I drop stuff. I've talked to a surgeon about this and they say there is not too much they can do? I sure wished that Anita telling me how sorry she was would have made me feel better. Unfortunately it didn't. Oh, I have to mention though, I still have all the original pain in my low back which has progressed to my legs, for which I originally went to Haque for in 2018. I went to Haque to have cryoskin therapy. I purchased two packages, which was $2700. I was going to treat my underarm area and love handles. Unfortunately, half way through my treatments there were no results (they measure the area before and after). The doctor said she could not provide a refund because she was not sure I was doing my part. She did tell the technician to have me sit up for the remainder of my treatments. Made sense, when you lay down, the fat might be falling and not getting treated. So the second area was never treated - I used all sessions for the armpit and NO results at all. Nor did I get to treat another area as the doctor eluded to the technician not positioning me correctly. I would have been better off to invest in liposuction and it was a complete waste of money - other than the very friendly technician becoming a friend. read more

I am so grateful to Dr.Haque! I began having some foot pain after I took up running again. First the foot, then the calf and then my hip, that's when I reached out to Dr.Haque asking if she treated foot pain. She treats the entire body including feet and she has a "Foot Levelers" scanner at her office! After my adjustment my pain was gone. I'm giving 5 stars because I absolutely ADORE their Cryoskin tech / massage therapist. She's a GEM! Angelica listened to my physical concerns and tailored my massage accordingly. I have had several surgeries and she was able to feel where I had scar tissue and "frozen shoulder" etc. I felt SOOO good leaving there. I will follow this therapist wherever she goes! I'm almost 50 and have been getting massages since my 20's and this was hands down my best massage ever! If I was going to rate the location in general I would NOT have offered 5 stars. The massage room is backed against the mens restroom. While being massaged, I could hear men urinating and their flatulence. It was a bit shocking coming from a massage room. Also, the speaker for the music is right outside the massage room and the music playing was not relaxing spa music. Also there is a gym on the other side of the bldg and their music was loud. It was like a music war. If the massage wasn't so good I would have not been able to focus with all the background noise. Being that the massage Le was so wonderful I will for sure return. I was very disappointed with their work ethics. Misleading a client regarding insurance coverage for treatments when they already know that they are not part of some of the insurance company. Reading their reviews, they have had the same issue for the last 10 years. The Dr did a good job but they fall short on work ethics. If they have had been honest up front regarding insurance coverage most likely I'd continue my treatments with them. read more

Dr. Haque and her entire team are fantastic! I had been struggling with a lot of pain in my lower back, hip and knees for years when I found her clinic and asked for an appointment. Dr. Haque performed a thorough examination, explained her diagnosis in detail, and walked me through her proposed treatment plan. She also made sure she patiently and kindly answered all my questions. I have been getting my adjustments for a few weeks now and already start feeling the difference. I am feeling and sleeping considerably better. I have also chosen Dr. Haque's office because of all the extra services offered. Patients can get advice on fitness, healthy dieting, and training too. Dr. Haque to the rescue again. I have been a patient for many years but took a break for a few years. When I developed Bell's Palsy a week and half ago she was the first person I thought of so I returned. In just a few visits it's made such a difference with the pain I am experiencing in my cheek/jaw/ear from the nerve being out of wack. I was referred to Dr. Haque by some close friends of mine, and I am so so so so grateful I was. I have had neck pain for so long, affecting my life. I have been to chiropractors over the years and was going to a local franchise which was not bad, but I needed more focused care. The initial visit with Dr. Haque was so thorough, and she addressed and assessed all of my major areas of concern. She went over my results a week after my assessment and was so detailed and knowledgeable, and you could tell she loves what she does. She gives a detailed plan of action and take home stretches to do. After my first adjustment, I cried because I hadn't felt much relief in years. I felt relaxed and calm. My experience with the professionals at Haque Chiropractic has been nothing short of incredible and I'm a better, happier person today than I was when I started seeing them 9 months ago. Dr. Haque is an amazing Chiropractor and one of my favorite people, she's basically equal parts Chiropractor and life coach. Lay on that table for 5 minutes while waiting for your adjustment and just listen to how she talks to people, it's easy to see that she genuinely cares about her patients health and well-being. As for the treatments, I'm in significantly less pain than I have been and getting better every day. I golf at least once a week now and before I started seeing her I could hardly even swing a club anymore. Also, she's easily able to adjust me and I'm conservatively like 3 times her size, it's incredible! First off, I did NOT get treated by Dr. Haque so I'm not speaking to the quality of care. What I can comment on is the pre-sales service and the costs they outlined. I went to Dr. Haque to get a second opinion. I have a spot in my back that tends to get pinched. I can usually self adjust and be fine for months but I finally decided to get it looked at. I went to one of Dr. Haque's competitors and got an exam and was fairly surprised when they quoted me 12 weeks of twice per week adjustments at about $1000. Since this is out of pocket, I decided to get a 2nd opinion from Dr. Haque. The facility is beautiful and new with weights, PT and massage on site as well as chiropractic. The staff was very professional and conducted themselves very well and I felt the examination was thorough and that they made a real effort to understand the issue I'm having. Dr. Haque came across as professional and empathetic - a very likable person and from the other comments she must be very competent. On to the cost... If I was surprised at the $1000 from the first place (and they were every bit as thorough and professional), I was stunned at the $3200 Dr. Haque quoted me. I was happy to see that both doctors gave me a similar diagnosis and treatment plan but really taken aback by the 3x difference in price. Even if I only wanted an adjustment from time to time on an ad hoc basis, Dr. Haque was $85/visit compared to $50/visit. To be as fair as possible, Dr. Haque's treatment plan included 3 times/week for a time and some P/T the other treatment plan did not. I'm not convinced the additional actions would make a big difference to this pretty minor complaint. So, the moral of the story is... If you're out of pocket like me, shop around! read more

Very sleazy underhanded business . They seem legit and concerned on the outside but once you're a customer they con you into treatments without telling you the costs- do unnecessary full spine X-ray - then hand you the X-ray photo on a the size of a business card... Try to make you feel like you have ailments that likely you do not... On top of all of that, they bill you for procedures you didn't even receive... True... Also, my wife had a massage appointment one day and the therapist didn't show up- no call or anything- even after I called and left a message with the office about it- we still did not even receive a call back at all... Stay clear of this place - they are local gypsies in my opinion. I went in there with open mind and after of this nonsense it has been shut ! Haque Chiropractic - Really? - Chiropractors Near Me - Livermore, California

I'd heard about chiropractors that have excessive billing and questionable practices. After over 20 years of going to chiropractors I finally found one - Hague Chiropractic. Keep looking as there's several honest and ethical Chiropractors in the East Bay. Don't believe all the overly positive customer endorsements. My experience was very similar to Jerry A.'s comment. I was led to belive that Blue Cross benefits would cover the treatment. On my second appointment, as my first appointment was an assessment only with no treatment, it was explained that I was in luck. I can be treated, as it was initially questionable, and I would need to prepay for treatment, over $3,500 for six months. Blue Cross would cover only 7%. This was all before I'd even had one adjustment. After I explained that I wasn't going to prepay I came up with another payment option, how about I only pay at the time of each appointment and only for the appointments I need? I was going to have my first adjustment when the receptionist starting arguing with me in the lobby about how much my visit would cost. This was after she scolded me about not wanting to get better since I didn't sign up for $3,500 prepay. Maybe she works on commission as she's definitely not rewarded for customer service. I explained the chiropractor determined the visit payment amount, not me, and she should argue with her. Very unprofessional. There's also a weird forced viewing of customer testimonial videos and the miracles of chiropractic that creates a cult - like atmosphere. I'm sooo glad I went to a different chiropractor who is ethical, actually takes Blue Cross and treated me during the first visit. This is the way healthcare is supposed to be. read more

Anita Haque is a very pleasant person but only in the business for the money. She lines up customers and processes them through like a production line. She'll give you all of 5 minutes when it's your turn. Lots of pressure to buy her "packages." After going to other chiropractors for treatment I realized what poor customer service I'd been receiving from her. She also charged my credit card even though I had no agreement in place and had not been there for months. She refused to stop charging without a written letter although no written letter was needed for her to charge. read more

Dr. Anita Haque will simply blow your mind. I'm a big guy - 6'2" and 240 pounds, yet this petite chiropractor has no problem adjusting this big body. I like Dr. Haque's focus on one's total health. This is the first place I've gone for chiropractic care where I feel cared for in my entirety. I love the fact that they have an all female staff, which can be comforting if you are a woman and having this kind of physical manipulation done on your body. They have a whole body approach to their chiropractic care, checking everything from joints,to sinuses, to muscle tightness. They have electrical stimulation stations that you can use during your chiropractic session which helps greatly with the sore muscles that I get if somethings out of alignment. Everyone here is super friendly and kind. The only reason I'm not giving them five stars is because unfortunately they do not take Kaiser insurance. But I will continue my chiropractic care here because of the outstanding customer service and care that I receive when I go. read more

All I needed was a simple adjustment but instead we did the X-Ray's which sounds ok but then they needed me to set up an appointment for another $100 on another day. Why don't I just give you my credit card.. I paid for my xray's and will not be back. My wife spent $2000 at the Chiropractor last year and got zero results. I came to Dr. Haque with an existing lower back/leg problem ( for 10 yrs). Her thorough examination (x-rays) and evaluation (at time of treatment) found my problem immediately! Wow! She is so knowledgeable and experienced, there seems to be no problem that she cannot diagnosis and treat! My only disappointment is the wait, especially when you have an scheduled appt. even the wait while in the treatment room can be long. But...once she is with you, she is in no hurry to leave until she has helped you with your problem!!! I have suffered with low back pain for more than 20 years. It had gotten progressively worse, and I was worried that I was on the road to it getting debilitating. I had tried exercising, stretching, weight loss. Nothing touched it. I saw a booth for a local chiropractor at "Thirsty Thursdays " in Livermore. My back was not doing well, so I decided to go and talk with them. This is where I first met Dr Alejandra, or "Doc". She was kind, informative, and I made an appt for the following week. Teegan (I know I am not spelling that right), was also kind, and helpful in getting my appt scheduled. When I arrived, I was treated so nice. They did a lot of tests, and took xrays, and scheduled an appt to go over the results. At that appt, they showed me the results. My low back and neck were a mess. I signed up for 24 treatments. I also got a pair of custom orthotics. As I sit here today after those treatments with Doc, I am pain free. I can't remember the last time I could say that. Wanted to start off that the facility is very nice, very helpful staff, I'm actually rating how CryoSkin worked for me personally. Everyone is going to have different results but I have to say, I spent $$$ for 5 visits with very little results, I recommend doing it once if you're very curious but would recommend not to do the 5 session package. read more

I've had neck pain for more than 3 years...have gone to 3 physical therapists, 3 chiropractors without any positive results. The only thing that improved is their "bottom line". I was desperate and decided to try Dr. Haque after reading her flyer inserted with the local newspaper. She took some x-rays and pointed out that she could help me with the pain, and she scheduled "adjustments" 3 times a week for 3 months. Adjustments consisted of 2 minutes (if that) of jerking my neck to one side, and pushing down hard on my back. I wasn't improving after more than 10 visits, and more than $500 of my money. Not sure about people who wrote it worked for them...perhaps friends and relatives...for me, it was all pseudo science, and a waste of hard earned money. read more

I heard about this place through a friend who had a great experience and was referred to see Dr. Deena Arenas. I was Very impressed with how detailed she was from her evaluation to her diagnosis of my issues. I have been going there for over a month now and am happy to a say that my posture has improved and the pain I was having has gone away. Recently, my daughter hurt her back cheerleading and we thought she may not be able to compete at nationals. These people are nothing but frauds liars and scammers they tell you one thing and then turn around and charge you another! Told me my balance would be 3600 insurance would cover 1200 and I would be left with the remaining balance and then never give me any papers to prove it. After a few weeks of visiting I asked about the insurance check and ask when it would come off my CareCredit bill? Because that's what they told me, then told me a whole different story about how they cut the insurance part out and the remaining balance was $3,680 which was a lie, saying my balance is 4800 I am Care Credit you 3600 and that is what you owe which I never agree to but they didn't give me any papers and so it's hard for me to prove it. I also seen another a person with the same experience. Avoid this place at all costs there are much better Chiropractic doctors in our area these people are trying to charge you one thing overpriced double charge your insurance and then probably still looking for a tip at the end of the day not a great place not a good experience I will not go back and I highly recommend you check your paperwork look to your documents see what you signed off on see what your insurance paying because I can almost guarantee they're lying to you! Dr. Haque is amazing. She is very thorough and focused on your healing. She makes you feel like you are the only person that matters. I first saw Dr. Haque because I did not want to have surgery on my hands to relieve the constant pain and numbness. After two adjustments my lower back felt better, I could move more freely and without pain. Atfer about 3 weeks my hands did not hurt all the time and the numbness was greatly reduced. My husband & I have been getting treated by Dr. Haque ever since she opened in 2004 I believe on Chestnut! Even though her business grew and decor is even more stellar on 1st street, the care and genuine interest in our health and welfare has stayed beautifully the same! Excellent, caring, professional and available! Yes the cost has gone up, but what hasn't! (gas, food etc.) I was treated for post accident effects and am on maintenance now. When I think about my health, the cost is secondary. Now I decided to take Dr. Haque up on the Weight loss program since I have been trying to lose the same 10 lbs for 11 years since our wedding. Well, it was pricey, but I realized that anything I did that costs me has worked! So, the first week, I was religious to follow the program and lost a little over 5 lbs. This was amazing and I love the motivation of that! So now I was not craving French Fries and potatoes every single day and drinking lots of water! By the 3rd week I had lost 12 lbs and after the 6 weeks a total of 17lbs. I did not lose muscle just fat and inches from my thighs, waist and hips.(the Triple Threat!) I now am free from cravings, eat slower and enjoy my food more, snack and eat healthy but most importantly I FEEL great and have tons of energy! Ever since having my 2nd child my hip was hurting really bad. I was unable to workout, sometimes even walking was painful. I was about to make an appt with my MD and decided to seek out chiropractic care first. Dr Haque has made me believer in chiropractic care! Making the decision to commit was hard because it is expensive but it was the best decision I made. The staff is so kind and welcoming, you are seriously treated like family. I was able to bring my children here while I got adjusted. And dr Haque is awesome!
