I broke a sprinkler pipe while gardening over the weekend. I was able to schedule an appointment online for the next business day, which was amazing, as most other companies were booked out for weeks. Pros: Available on the same day, arrived on time, and finished the job without issues. Cons: Way overpriced. The issue turned out to be the main valve and solenoid. I was quoted about $800--approximately $400 for parts and $400 for labor. At the time, I agreed to the repair, but after doing some research afterward, I realized the price was far higher than what appears to be typical. I feel like I significantly overpaid. Because of this experience, I won't be using this company again nor will recommend to anyone. One thing that also concerned me was that the technician arrived without a company uniform or a company-branded vehicle. I should have shopped around. Replacement of one faulty valve, repair of another, and repair of a cracked piece of pvc cost me more than $800. The valve that they charged me $195 for retails for far less (under $50), materials alone for replacing the small section of pvc was $175, and the couple of hours labor was almost $400. Ultimately it's on me for approving the work without appropriate consideration - I hope you can learn from my mistake. NOTE: Review has been edited. I've used total on sprinkler the last three times I've had an issue with my sprinkler system and this time around they help me out with my landscape lighting short as well. Diego was awesome to work with, and he was in and out very quickly after accurately, diagnosing my issues and giving me an estimate prior to executing the work. I really appreciate the fact that I knew exactly how much I was gonna spend before they proceeded with the work. They even deducted my $99 deposit from the total cost of my repairs. DON'T BE RIPPED OFF! I hired Total Lawn and Sprinkler to inspect my irrigation system. Their tech (Brad) came on June 30 and identified three faulty valves and four drip leaks. He gave an estimate of $2,760 total, with $750 quoted for a single valve replacement. I called several other companies, and they quoted about $200 per valve. The Total Lawn and Sprinkler estimate was roughly four times the typical rate, which felt like a dishonest way to do business. read more

We are so grateful for Total Lawn & Sprinkler. We had no idea what happened to my Mom's sprinkler system. A contractor had been out the day before doing something and then the next morning the sprinkler system wasn't working. What did they do? We had no idea! You know there's a panic when you can't see the issue because it's under ground and it was working just fine before. TL&S responded quickly, came out and were able to find the issue promptly and fixed our issue efficiently. Fernando was wonderful at explaining the issue in a way I could understand. He was beyond professional and kind. Poor guy got caught completing the repair in a thunderstorm also. I do not recommend Total Lawn and Sprinkler. I paid $110 to have a technician come out to evaluate my irrigation system. It took the guy approximately 40 minutes to complete his inspection. He recommended adding two extra zones to my system. I asked him to send me an estimate. A week passes, and I don't hear anything. I called their office and asked about my estimate, and they didn't have any information about my estimate. All this company wants to do is collect the initial inspection fee and disappear. Scheduled a service call late last night for 8am this morning to get our sprinkler system looked at for electrical issues and possible busted pipes. Fernando arrived just before 8am with a smile and ready to work. Took him about 30 mins to identify and address all of our concerns. He found and identified electrical issue, located not one but 2 busted pipes and helped with adjusting some of our sprinkler nozzles to help with swampy sections. Once identified Fernando quoted me a price for labor and parts which I gave the good to go and he he had completed in 2 hrs or so. He also quoted us for a French drain for the future if the swampy conditions aren't fixed by new nozzles. Overall great service! read more

We had several sprinkler heads replaced. The total bill was $1,600.00! Within 30 days the whole control unit was malfunctioning. They came back and took a look. They want an additional $1,196.16 to replace the unit! Unit cost $400, $200 rain sensor, $525 labor, and $50 tip. Yes they included a tip in the invoice.
