They said and I asked "how much", they said $20. That's a reasonable amount considering. I get there, there were no seats to wait. Not one person greeted me as they went about doing their business. The waiting/standing room area was about a 4 feet by 5 feet open space right in front of the entrance. A man came with shears and I was thinking that they would take my dog inside, but no!! This man positioned himself To start cutting while he told me to hold the leash. Of course my dog would react as she looked up at me asking for help. First snip, he cuts the quick and yells for a lady to bring whatever powder they use to stop the bleeding. Second snip, and then more snipping. Cut the quick 4 FOUR times. No remorse no comforting my dog. Just snipped and dipped for the bleeding. This happened right in front of the door where another man was standing while I also stood and held the leash. Guy said "done". I asked "are you not going to file them coz they're rough?" And he replied "no" turned away and walked inside. Here's the kicker - this place is CASH ONLY!!! The sign was not even noticeable until the girl pointed it to me when I was handing her my debit card. They took my dog inside as I needed to get cash. Why didn't they take her in when trimming the nails? Of course they took her inside for security thinking I would skip out on paying them $20. This was the worst experience for me and my dog.

It used to only be a few hours to have your puppy ready after drop off, now they seem to keep them sitting there for hours and it just doesn't feel right. On top of that when I did get there, even after calling around 2:30 and being asked again about the cut, it was such a hack job - I asked for a low cut and a teddy bear face. It's clear the owner was doing the grooming himself and at 5:20 was just working on a golden doodle when I got there. I know it's a pet place but the smell oh the smell is horrendous in there I don't know how he sits in it, I got a headache from checking out And My mini bernadoodle doesn't even look like himself, his hair is uneven, he has little nicks that the owner told me to look out for and put acv on "people go to the vet and it's expensive bc they don't want you to know" -- (now I realize that it's bc of recent reviews of injured dogs) and then when it was time to pay he was like $100. I asked if it was bc of a low cut, since a month ago I paid $67. That time I had to go back for a refund bc I was double charged and it took several trips be there at a time when Tony was there to do the refund. So getting charged $100, $104 when I got the receipt for a bad with no explanation in the change of cost or consistency. You want to support local biz it is hard with your pup clearly sad at pickup, with a horrible cut that you have to try to salvage (after being out $104), and tend to. Not the best experience

We got her at 3 months and I thought that enrolling her in a puppy school would be great for her manners as she grows up. She didn't really have any behavior problems that stood out to us aside from all the normal puppy hyper mayhem zoomies, teething and impatient-ness--since she was figuring out how to be a dog herself too. She started school at 4 months and now she's done at 7 months. We are very busy, and we could only bring her in once a week and it still worked out! Even with a month pause in between because of her spay procedure. You won't regret enrolling your pup in their program because the trainer really understands dog language--a dog whisperer for sure. That being said, it comes with work from home too, so be prepared to hear tips and tricks to do at home. There will be blunt advice, but don't take anything personally. They're seeing it from an outside perspective, and you're seeing your pup as your kid. You're there to make your pup have great manners, the dream dog that you want to have, so you'll have to do discipline. They come as strict, but for the reason being that they know you'll be softer at home. So they're laying strong foundation for your pup. Ginger started with not wanting to walk on a leash, to being very well-mannered on a leash! With dogs barking in the background too. She also learned how to wait, how to get on a point, and how to "drop it." We only had to do an 8 session course. See her progress through January-March! Thank you Torrance Grooming and Training! I heard they also do great grooming, so we will probably try it out sometime too :).

I wrote this review only after I tried a different place for my dog's grooming work…read more I have a terrier which requires hand stripping - which is a unique grooming style for dogs have double-layered hair. I had this puppy for only several months old, and booked this place for grooming. The appointment was confirmed, and due to the staff /business owner who can do the work was on maternity leave, I had to waited for 2 months - which was ok, we could wait. But when the appointment was approaching, I was contacted for delaying the appointment for another month due to the staff needed more time for the leave. I was ok with that, and so another month to wait. One week before the appointment time, I was contacted again as the staff can't do the job on the agreed day, it had to be rescheduled again. I was patient enough for almost three month wait. But I felt not very respectful for the 3rd time change of my appointment time! I had to reschedule my time off to make it work. When I express my concerns of the time change, the message I got literally was " We don't need new customers honestly." Really?! I felt really bad but the short time change notice put me into a position that I didn't want to waste more time researching another place ( maybe I should). So I went and the hand stripping charges by hourly rate, usually takes 1-3 hours for the session. I had a small-medium size dog, it was our first time doing that, I had no expectations. But I didn't expect that they did took 3 full hours to do the job, so I was charged for 3 hours, plus the bath... I got a final bill of over $300!! And I felt the style was a bit off- I sent a photo to our breeder, she thought the same... So I tried a different place for my second time, just to compare with my 1st experience at Soggy Paws Pet Grooming. The final bill I got from a different place was only $165 - (and my dog is growing bigger, probably with much more hair to be stripped, and my dog looked great!!) So I think the business owner of Soggy is right: They don't need new customers! And I have found a better place to go after all. That is my experience with this place. Hope it is helpful.
