I did leave a message, but I had no idea how long they were going to take, so I just kept calling and calling until someone picked up. They are located close to the main OLOL hospital. Everyone was great at the front desk and the nurse were so sweet. I hope Dr. Ferrell will remain for awhile because there because she is a wonderful doctor. I wasn't there for pain but 1 of the forms said (in BOLD letters) "We don't treat people with chronic pain". Isn't that why people go to a doctor? There wasn't anyone in the room so I didn't see no harm. In the middle of changing it a young receptionist sarcastically said, "excuse me MISS but please don't touch the TV". There are no adequate words to describe how this doctor and her team handled the last year, as I was dealing with my Mom, who was in her last days. Rather than subject my Mom to unnecessary testing and visits, we handled most of her medical needs remotely. After the horrific flooding in August of 2016, as my Mom went into a decline , I knew that I could count on Dr R and her staff to help me deal with the situation . Because my Mom received such good care at home , she lived to age 97, and we never placed her in a nursing home. My emotional, spiritual , as well as physical needs were met . To me, this alone is worth the yearly fee. In the past, when I have been out of town , or have needed medical guidance , medication, etc. I have been impressed with the entire medical teams effort to ameliorate any situation. I have, personally , been part of the medical community as a nurse. As many people know, nurses don't really enjoy being a client - we would much rather give an injection , and not receive one. Even when having my blood drawn , this last time, I barely felt the needle stick; Offering experience , expertise and precision is what Maryanne does better than anyone. In this practice, there are no long wait times; the only time I ever had to wait was during a medical emergency , and even this was not long. One of my pet peeves is to wait in doctors offices...yet another reason I prize MDVIP. The best way I can describe the experience here is to compare this business to something we all are familiar with... vehicles . I used to drive a 13 y o pick up truck - yes , it did get me from point A to B. But being a part of this family practice is like graduating to a BMW M5 or a Bugatti... I went and got my Covid 19 vaccine today, When you go to get your vaccination you go in the main door closes to McCelland drive the reason I'm telling you that is there are is a Emergency entrance and a urgent care entrance and a primary care main entrance and this is a big place so I just am trying to save you a few steps, me I went in on the far end because I had no idea where to go but as soon as I got inside a nice staff worker told me I needed to go outside and down to the other end at the main entrance. I got the Pfizer it vaccinates you for COV-2, SARS and COVID 19. I got the first dose today and go back in 3 weeks for the second dose. I truly hate shots but I actually didn't even feel the needle. When I walked inside there was a staff member taking temperatures and she took mine and I told her I was there to get my Covid 19 vaccination she told be where to go with was basically directly behind her. Then I told the next staff member the same thing and she asked my name and checked her list to make sure I was on it and had me sit down to b called. I was called in less than 5 minutes and gave the receptionist all my name and then I sat back down until I was called in another room to get my shot, took only about 5 more minutes. When I was called into the next area I was asked a few questions and then sent to one of the nurses and then verified my name and birthday and given my first dose of the vaccine then you go wait in a room for 15 minutes to make sure you don't have a bad allergic reaction then you can go. I just want to say every single staff member from the lady taking the temperatures to the nurse that gave me the shot and the staff member that was watching me for the 15 minutes everyone is exactly nice and helpful. Update March 20, 2021 Today I got my second dose of the Pfizer Covid 19 vaccine and again it didn't hurt at all and so far I haven't had any side effects and knock on wood hopefully I won't.

First of all, they use Express Scripts, which was fine, but due to some computer error my prescription was never sent to my pharmacy. When I called the clinic, they said they would re-send it, but that also didn't work. I had to drive over the next day for a paper copy. Couldn't they just write it down a be done with it? No, because I'm sure they make a profit using the online system. What a hassle. Furthermore, I went in two times within a couple of weeks because I was presenting symptoms that were diagnosed as "sinus infection" and "upper respiratory issues." They failed to perform any tests, even after I expressed my concern that something else was wrong - the doctor just gave me a cortisone shot and steroids. When that did no good, I went back to my long time physician in Zachary, and immediately upon examination and a few tests, they told me I had a severe case of mono and my tonsils were in such bad shape they might have to be removed. This would have been devastating to me, as a professional vocalist! And to think, if it had been diagnosed WEEKS earlier at Bluebonnet Family Clinic, it wouldn't have gotten as bad as it did. Not only that, but I have two forms of insurance, and both were copied by the office to keep on file. MONTHS later, I get a bill saying I owe them hundreds of dollars because I had no insurance. REALLY?!?! Bottom line is - if you value your health and well-being, DO NOT go here. Go to Lake After Hours if you have to, but NOT HERE! They're more interested in making a buck off the newest technology and designer drugs than actually keeping their patients healthy.
