Jason saved my photos! I recently dropped my iPhone X in the ocean and didn't have it backed up (a big fat walking lesson waiting to happen). iPhones are now somewhat water resistant but not when it comes to salt water...it is almost a sure thing that that will end it. I immediately grabbed it out of the water and the screen went dark, I tried to dry it as best I could but wanted to find someone to take a look and see if there was any chance of recovering all my years worth of photos before I turned it on, waited too long or did anything else to compromise it's recovery. With all of the Apple stores closed and current COVID restrictions I was worried that I might not be able to find help or get an appointment in time to recover anything. My boyfriend found Jason on Yelp and he calmly and confidently walked us through what he could do and what might be happening and said there was a chance to recover and that we could bring it right in (on a weekend right after New Years). We brought him my phone and he opened it up and cleaned the logic board--after a first try it couldn't stay booted up but he did not stop there and for that I am so grateful. He tried one more wash and got it working in order to make me a full backup. He even lent me a phone while I was without one in the process that I could put my SIM card into which was so kind. I actually had mine custom built, and I had no idea which part was working and not working. When it comes to computers, I don't know anything at all.
