Okay, so this Total Wine & More. As an occasional drinker, why did it take me this long to check this place out? This is the ultimate one-stop shop for a large variety of wines, spirits, beer, mixers, and so much more--too many items to mention. Every bottle is neatly organized in aisles labeled for easy finding. Some are displayed on the sales floor or secured in glass cases. Prices are reasonable. There's a tasting bar that offers samples on specific days and times. Atmosphere was quiet and reserved. I visited the store today to find and purchase a bottle of Jacob's Creek Moscato. I've tried several Moscato brands, some were sweet, others lightly sweet. Recently I was introduced to the Jacob's Creek brand at Bonefish Grill and absolutely loved it. I wanted a bottle for myself. I found a small section of various Moscato brands in the back of the store, but they didn't have the one I wanted. I asked an employee at customer service if they had the Jacob's Creek Moscato in stock. After searching the item on the store's device, she informed me they didn't carry that brand of Moscato, but the Pembroke Pines location had plenty in stock. I thanked the employee for her help and left. I'll visit that location tomorrow. There was no way I was driving all the way to Pembroke Pines at this time. This place is amazing. They have every liquor and wine you can imagine, from cheap swill all the way up to the highest quality bottles. The only thing I couldn't find here was KISS "Cold Gin", a specialty liquor licensed by the band KISS. That I had to order online. The store is very well organized and the staff is super knowledgeable. I've asked them for advice on wine and whiskey more than once and their recommendations have been incredible. You absolutely cannot beat the selection and pricing here, nor the convenience. This place is fantastic. Five stars from me! read more

Great, friendly customer service and a huge selection of add-ons to any alcoholic or non alcoholic purchases. I stopped in for a special bottle of Whiskey for a gift and it was easy to find. I enjoyed perusing the additional aisles just to see what they had and get an education on wines from different regions. I also was impressed with all the snack items they carry. This Boca location of Total Wine is a real solid bet for finding not only a solid selection of wine but also various liquor as well as a large assortment of THC drinks. I appreciated the staff that weren't afraid to provide their opinions on the selection and options and were helpful across the board. I am here for a wine Tasting with el hubby. Parking is tough. We had to park in the back of the building. The tasting event is in a lovely room located at front right side on building. We're in Boca. There is not a lot of diversity in this room. Had to say it.... The amount of wine provided was very small. Picture attached. There was a buffet available. No one serving so every guest has their hands on everything. The selection was good. Nice cheeses, olives, grapes, sandwiches and veggies. I was a bit hesitant to serve myself and the germaphobe anxiety kicked in, but I am hungry. So.. sucked it up and served myself a bit. Lol The event is from 6:30pm -8pm. The space where they hold this event is very spacious and the guy giving the presentation, although he seemed a little shy at first, has a good knowledge of the subject. My last review was quite a good number of years ago and I thought it appropriate to submit a new one. Basically, there is nothing wrong with or bad about this place that some more staff training could not improve. It's a mixed bag. When you call on the phone with a question or want to place an order, you can be placed on hold for an inordinate amount of time. And then when you get to speak to someone, there is often a tone in their voice that they are harried. Rushed. Annoyed. Tired. And frankly, that's no good. Did that, I rate a one (1) I've developed a rapport with Tracey, whom until recently I had never met. All my dealings were by phone. She is knowledgable. Responsive. Takes special orders and has a positive attitude. Phones you when the item is in. Or texts me. I finally met her last month. What a pleasure. Her attitudeand performance rates a 5+ And then there is the experience I had earlier tonight. I stopped by to pickup 2 cases of Antigal Numero Uno Malbec wine from Mendoza Argentina. Not a problem, it was brought out to me. I then asked a guy at the customer service desk where I could find the kosher wines and who could help me. He directed me to aisle 3 and there were a lot of kosher wines from all over the world. I'm not a maven on kosher wine. I don't drink kosher wine. I was purchasing to gift to my physician who is an Orthodox Jew. If he drinks wine, it sure has to be kosher. So I go over to an area where 4 customer service folks were standing around and talking with each other. I interrupt and ask if there is someone who can help me with kosher wine. A woman, with a dour expression on her face, breaks away and walks to aisle 3. She is looking around. Has a puzzled look on her face. And I ask her about Malbec. From Argentina. Her face becomes more puzzled. And then I ask "do you know anything about kosher wines? The wineries? Good years? And she looks me straight in the face and shakes her head side to side. I assumed that meant no. So I said "well frankly,why did you walk over to help if you don't know anything?" She continues to look puzzled. I walk back to the area she came from where there are now 3 employees talking with each other and I again ask if there is anybody who knows anything about the kosher wines. And again they stare at each other and a guy walks over to aisle 3. He says "what are you looking for?" And I reply a good Malbec from Argentina and a good dry white wine from anywhere that is known for their quality of kosher wine production. He reaches for a bottle of Manischewitz. And I know I am now doomed. No question. But I play along and ask why did you select this? Reply "It's well known. And $9.99 " So I pick out a bottle of Malbec from Mendoza produced by a subsidiary of Rothschild and figure it should be good. It was certainly pricey. And then I pick out a Sauvignon Blanc blended with Chardonnay. Well that sounds different. And it's from a good winery in Israel. I left with the distinct impression that none of these folks knew anything about kosher wine and that they didn't even make an effort to pretend that they did. Or have the initiative to talk into those tiny mikes they all talk into and ask for help. Let's be real. If I were asking about any other type of wine or hard liquor there would have been people on the floor who could provide qualified opinions and recommendations. None of that occurred. So they rate a zero. Tracey saves her colleagues and brings the rating to a 3. Management should engage in some introspective review and figure out how to do better. . read more

I said ok how about Pappy Van Winkle. He said no we don't sell that crap either. I sad what? He said you can find that at Walgreens too. Amazing! Completely furious about my wasted time here, I came here to get a bottle of wine that my mother loves to give to her for her birthday. After I grabbed the wine I went to the register to checkout, I am over 21 years old. The lady at the register grabs my ID, looks at me and says that she needs a manger to confirm this, I turned 21 in march it's now October. Not sure what there is to confirm. The manager eventually comes to the register and checks my ID, no problem, whatever. She then looks at my friend who has been riding with me while we shop at different stores, he's 19. She asks for his ID, Though he isn't the one purchasing the wine. He hands her his ID and says that he's under 21, the manager takes his ID and says "you're a minor!" Almost surprised as if we both didn't already say this. She then tells me that she can't sell ME the wine and that id have to comeback in 24 hours if I wanted to buy anything. This is BY FAR the most frustrating time ive had at any retail store. What is the point of this? I would say otherwise had my friend been the one purchasing the alcohol, but I'm the one buying it so why is he being ID'd and why can't I buy ONE bottle of wine because he's underage? If a parent walks in with their kid, say they're in middle school. Do they get ID'd? Or are you supposed to leave the kid in the car? Even high school, it's just stupid. I can't even get my mom the wine now until after her birthday, so thanks for that. I have zero intentions on ever coming here again read more

I read some of these bad reviews and I have to disagree 100%. I've been going to Total Wine since they opened, and never have I been stalked or followed. In fact, I find the employees helpful, friendly and there's always one around to give a hand picking out a bottle of wine or liquor. The store is huge and has an incredible selection for any budget. They deliver too! My sister was having a birthday so I wanted to send her a bottle of champagne. I was able to order it and have it delivered the same day. There's also an order and pick up service. Place an order online and it will be ready for pick up in a few hours. Can't beat that! This store just had a major expansion. There's a separate area for pick up and a beautiful new room for classes and wine tastings. Just go to the website, type in events in the search bar, and you can sign up for classes. Most are $20 and looks like it would be a nice evening. It's definitely on my list to do with a group of friends. read more

He smiles puts down his pen, walks from behind the barrier and assists. He asks me if I looking for certain flavors or want to remain in certain cost. Recommends a nice Rose that is better served chilled. I'm already late so I pass. He gives the option for some 3 minute thing that would chill the bottle. I pass. He offers a Cabernet. I love cabs and I'm out the store in under 3 minutes. I get home before the take out and everyone likes the wine. The inventory is great but the service makes them 5 stars. read more

One of the best spots to pick up your beverages. I have lived in Broward most of my years in Florida. Recently I moved to Palm Beach and live pretty close to this Total Wine. The thing is, even when in Broward, if I was near this location I would do my best to make it over. As you walk in it is an inviting place. Looks spacious, smells clean and homey, and it's well lit in all the right spots. I have come in for a beer I couldn't find anywhere(found it here), a wine that was a tough find(found it here), and looking for holiday baskets for clients(they have plenty). But besides having a great wide stock of items, they have other perks. They have a membership club that sends coupons and alerts. Some of those are pretty good. They have tastings. The scotch one I have done and it was well worth stopping in. I certainly didn't move to Boca because it was close to a great Total Wine, but it's probably one of the better perks of the area. If I need something specific I won't waste time going anywhere else, I'll hit here. read more

What is with the annoying people working the taste test stands? I visited the Boca store this afternoon, and for the second time in a row, we were presented with a hard sell. This time, the woman working the English gin and vodka (I have no idea what the brand is) is trying to convince us that this is "the last bottle" of this brand of gin and the store will never ever have it again, and since my cart is empty, etc. etc. First, if this was true, why would Total be promoting something they won't be carrying any more? Second, why would they be promoting something they are essentially out of? Actually, we were told that same story about another product a few months ago. Tall tales being told at Total. I would hope that people in this area are a bit too sophisticated for the used car sales approach in order to sell a $35.00 bottle of gin. read more

My biggest complaint today is of chain operations and how they hire managers - too often they don't understand sales or how to treat and educate employees! Today I went to my local Total Wine where I've been going to for years - I spend $3-4,000 a year mainly on wines, champagne, gin and cognac! Today my wife who likes Marlborough NZ was out so I bought 3 bottles of Allan Scott sauvignon $13.99 per bottle and a case of Kim Crawford $12.47! Also some Champagne for the house. As a regular "member " I said I usually get $10 off a case - the cashier asked a woman manager him that was okay and she said no we NEVER do - I'm a customer and she just called me a liar - didn't ask my name or look me in the eye - clearly had better things to do but added one more comment- this is the cheapest of any where ( never say that) - I paid and was planning to go back tomorrow with a friend (to help carry) 3 dozen bottles of Dom Perignon! I went immediately to ABC and they charged $3 a bottle less! I returned the case to Total Wine and another manager apologized but was smart enough to know they had lost me as a customer ( all because of a manager who failed to live up to her job - in fact she said she was THE store manager - not sure if that was true or just one of the store managers! A simple example of why so many chain stores eventually disappear! read more

So here I am reviewing my third Total Wine location. Having moved away from Texas I was initially a bit worried that I wouldn't find a decent liquor store at a decent price point in south Florida. When I discovered that there was a Total Wine just minutes away, we'll, I was able to breath a sigh of relief. This location is clean and well organized. The selection on both import and domestic wines is too shelf. Be sure to join their rewards program. It literally pays to join! If you're not already doing this, look in to the Ibotta app. You can earn money back on some top shelf items while simultaneously racking up Total Wine membership points. The staff is very helpful and courteous, all around professionals. I am happy to call myself a loyal Total Wine customer. read more

Total Wine to the rescue! Ordered an item from another store to only find out we received the wrong item, fortunately, after Googling, I saw this Total Wine & More had it! Thank goodness. And the website will tell you which aisle and side it's on- even better. So i went feverishly looking for the item. No luck. I kept looking. Again, no luck. Eventually I, feeling defeated, gave up and did that thing men hate doing- asking for directions. I was assisted by Diane who took me over to the gin area- we were needing a gin making kit FYI, proceeded to show me the different sets, opening them so i could view the differences. Even more fortunate was Total Wine had this set cheaper than the previous place we ordered it from (and sadly didn't receive). Diane was super helpful. Even taking us over to show us her favorite gin, offered us samples of alcohol as they were making some sort of cocktail, which we declined being on our lunch break. She gave us the lowdown on what gin was the best for the price and if we were buying a gift, which we were, which the recipient would enjoy more. She totally made the experience, which was stressful as we needed a gift ASAP, something so easy and fun and the recipient loved everything which makes it even more special. I don't find myself here much, but I totally would recommend this location to anyone. read more

I stopped in here to pick up an order from online. I love being able to browse and see if they have what I want in stock. This store is located in a strip mall, it's at the end of the plaza and not far from McDonald's. The online pickup was easy, the sales associate asked for my license and then went in the back to get my order. She also asked if I needed any help out to my car, but I was ok with putting my beers in the shopping cart. I love how large and well lit this store is. This place is great. Clean store, helpful staff, a great selection and bottles that you can't get elsewhere. I'm usually an Austin shopper (hence the HEB reference below) but I happened to be traveling for work and wanted to buy some gifts for coworkers. Total Wine has become my go to place to buy wine and spirits. (Okay, I do purchase a fair amount at HEB (Texas) and Costco but.. definitely for spirits!) You can order online and pickup curbside but what's more important is their real time inventory so when you're searching for something specific, you can tell exactly which store has it and which does not. (And then buy it, of course) I always love chatting with the staff because they know their stuff and can always recommend something new that I haven't yet tried. It's worth the extra five minutes on the road to shop here AND some of the promos (like half-case specials) are very, very good. Thanks for being you, total wine. read more

I stopped by this particular Total Wine & More seeking a certain fig vodka and a few Greek cordials, none of which they had, but I was still impressed with the place and this one in particular. It's set up somewhat differently than the one on 17th in Lauderdale, rather like the main one in Orlando. When you walk in, just to your right, they have their "Highly Rated" wine selections. In it I was able to pick up a really good Bordeaux along with some great Montepulcianos. As I tend to be more of a guzzler than a sipper of wines, I'm certainly no sommelier but have found their ratings to be right on target, accurate as to the contents and quality of their wines. Plus, I like their prices. Being a large box chain store with tremendous volume, it's no secret that Total Wines can retail for less than what smaller stores can even do on their wholesale purchase prices. The added facts that this store has a friendly knowledgeable staff, items like vodkas arrange in alphabetic order along with set sampling hours are also a big pluses. read more

I was finally introduced to this place on my latest SoFlo squad visit, I just wish it wouldn't have been so rushed (literally got there just 10mins before they closed). It definitely reminds of Specs here in Austin, TX, which is a good thing. Meaning, they have almost any and all of the booze you could ever want or need and the various accoutrement that accompany and complement any booze-themed needs. Basically an over 21 Disneyland (or, wait, is it Disney World here?) with prices that won't bankrupt your booze budget. I really would love to take some time and really peruse their wine and fine spirits sections because I have a sneaking suspicion there are some gems to be discovered here! The irony that I walked out of this place w/some Deep Eddy's Sweet Tea vodka was not lost on me. I want to try and find some local spirits on my next visit... The beers are organized by domestic and imported. I love the "make your own six-pack" option. The wines are organized by type and region, and you can find some notes where the staff has recommended a certain wine and why. If there's anything you are looking for and can't find, or you need a recommendation, they are always ready to help. The other thing I love about them, is their online ordering. If you order online before 11am, and it's in stock, you can go pick it up after 4pm that same day. Good thing I'm no alcoholic because this place is a smorgasbord of evil spirits. If you haven't been before, Total Wine & More is a oversized liquor store (easily larger than any drugstore you've been too and a we bit smaller than your typical grocery store. The wine selection is unreal; organized by types and regions of wine and if your desired wine is not found, the staff will look it up to special order for you. Prices are quite fair and even though they have coupon mailers often, you don't need them because they automatically give the same discounts if you spend certain amounts. In addition to the wine selection, they have a large offering of liquors organized by type (vodkas, rums, cordials, scotch, et cetera) and mega selection of beers... oh my, the beer options... Belgium's, darks, ales, stouts, small breweries, hard to find, glassware, gift sets (just a mind blowing selection). Plus the "More" in the name also refers to the cigar collection they offer and equally impressive beer variety.
