She named a few and we selected the 1987 and I had to try their Mexican Mocha. The atmosphere is cozy, relaxed and slightly dim. Making it a great location to catch up with a friend or work remotely. I saw a few patrons on their laptops, and the noise level was just fine for them. My daughter wasn't particularly impressed with the 1987 as she prefers a sweeter flavor. I'm a creature of habit a lot of the time and when I find something I like it's hard to tear me away from it. At 18 Grams that habit is ordering their 1987, I love this iced coffee. It is hazelnut coffee, sweetened condensed milk, that's topped with sea salt cream and ibarra chocolate. It's strong and has a good sweetness level for me. This location is on the smaller side, but is cozy and a good place to meet with a friend or two or get some work done. The staff is always friendly and they're pretty quick. On my last visit the drinks came out so quick. Parking can be hard when the plaza is busy- on my recent visit I parked further down the plaza and walked over. So I might be doing myself a disservice by sharing that they've got some of the best breakfast burritos here...there are days where I come a bit later in the morning eager for a bacon breakfast burrito and they've sold out. My first few times here, I came for the coffee and was impressed. I like their options and the coffee is quite good. After a few visits, I noticed they offered some bagels and breakfast burritos. I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito with red sauce and I haven't looked back since. Whenever I come here in the mornings, I order a coffee and whether I'm hungry or not, I'm getting the burrito if it's available. The times they've sold out of burritos for the day, I won't lie I'm pretty bummed. The breakfast burrito isn't the biggest but for me it's definitely very filling. There's a few small tables inside that people often use to work or do homework. It's a bit of a smaller coffee shop but feels cozy and a good spot to hang out for a little while you enjoy your coffee. My only wish was if this coffee shop was a bit bigger with more tables and chairs, but overall great spot. read more

Went to 18 grams because we needed some coffee and were pleasantly surprised! The inside was clean and well decorated with lots of dark wood everywhere. The ambiance is that of a cafe where they welcome in people to sit and even do work! (saw some people on their laptops). They took our orders quickly and the drinks and pastry came out fairly quick. I got a coffee with sea salt cream and my gf got an ube latte. We saw that they had a coconut pandan cookie that looked pretty tasty so we added that to our order. The drinks tasted great and wasn't just sugar. The cookie was also fantastic and its portion size was perfect as a snack for both my gf and me. This is my second time visiting 18 Grams. My first visit a few months ago I ordered one of the popular coffee drinks..it was a pricey drink and not very memorable. I decided to try 18 Grams again, this time I opted for a Matcha drink. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha and I was again underwhelmed. The drink was a little more than $7 and I didn't even drink half of it. It just was not that great. I will admit, I'm not a huge Matcha fan, I thought getting a strawberry matcha would help me fall in love with Matcha. I'm not giving up on Matcha just yet, but I'm not sure I will return to 18 Grams anytime soon. The coffee shop is cute and the staff provided decent customer service. The coffee shop is on the smaller size, has limited seating. The seating is all very hard and not comfortable. This is not the place to come and work for a while. My daughter was in search for a good coffee house and I asked if she ever tried 18 Grams Coffee & Tea. She answered: Nope; so off we went... First of all this is a cute little coffee house on the south east side of Elk Grove right off the 99 freeway. Typically I usually get a drip coffee, but today since I was with my daughter she said "expand" and try something different so a Sea Salted Caramel Cream Iced Coffee for me and a Vietnamese Iced coffee for my daughter. When we entered we just walked up to the counter and it's self ordering while two young women were working the behind the counter (no greeting or acknowledgment) So after ordering we sat and waited near the front door. My daughter and I did appreciate the vintage looking seats at the window area facing the street. (We even said, probably from an old train station) After a short wait, our order was ready and we walked out and I snapped a picture of our drinks (daughter reminded me too). In the car I take my first sip (not stirring the drink yet) and I said TOO SALTY. I couldn't taste the coffee or the caramel, so I let it sit a bit then swirled the coffee. And with no luck the drink was overpowering with a salty taste and decided to toss the drink. My daughter's Vietnamese Ice Coffee was "meh" (her words) but she able to finish her coffee. We also ordered one of their longganisa breakfast burrito. Ube Latte- ube jam, condensed milk and espresso shot. I like that the coffee is strong enough to give me that jolt of morning caffeine. Eventhough it is an ube drink, it was kind of lacking that ube flavor, it wasn't strong enough for my liking. Mocha- Ghirardelli and Ibarra chocolate, espresso and milk. I took a sip of this drink and it was a chocolate/caffeine delight. Not too sweet, not too bitter tasting, just the right amount. Longganisa burrito- it's on a small side and good enough for 1 person, but hubby and I shared it. It was hot and steamy and perfect pair for our drinks. They had a good amount of longganisa in every bite. Enough to fill our tummy in the morning. We subbed oatmilk on both our drinks since our tummy can't handle dairy. This place have good amount of tables and chairs, but it can get crowded especially in the morning. Those seats and tables can get easily occupied by people doing work (or school work) so you wouldn't find an open space if you want to hang out and drink your coffee. We've stopped by this location twice and each time we were impressed with the flavor and portion of the coffee. This time around, I was not interested in getting coffee so I opted for the Earl Grey latte. It was perfectly sweetened with honey and the amount of ice didn't take away or dilute the flavor of the tea. The tea was very bold, but not overbearing. My husband got the Ube latte which uses a Vietnamese coffee base. It's slightly different than some of the other Ube lattes we've had, but that's not a bad thing. The Ube flavor is very subtle and is slightly overpowered by the Vietnamese coffee. This was also nicely sweetened and not too sweet. Service was fine. We ordered at the kiosk so we didn't really interact with anyone. We were met with a smile though when we picked up our drinks. There were a lot of people hanging out so if you're looking for a coffee break or to catch up with some friends, they have the space to do that. read more

Decided to try this place out and ordered the ube latte as well as their special for the season which was the marshmallow matcha latte I think it was called. Nonetheless the drink tasted like matcha with marshmallow which I liked. Their ube was good and pretty strong. I also got their ube muffin and it tasted very good as well. They have a lot of drinks to choose from so will be coming back to try it and also other bakery items they have. They have kiosk to order. This is a cute little coffee shop with small seating area inside and a few tables outside. I was on the go and ordered black iced tea and my breakfast burrito to go. The service was friendly, fast and my burrito was piping hot. This was a coffee shop breakfast burrito, not a taco shop breakfast burrito, meaning it's on the small side and pricey. Luckily the flavor was there. This was a bacon breakfast burrito and I really enjoyed that bacon was chopped up and not just one single strip. It did have too much tortilla for such a small burrito, but it still satiated me. I opted for a black iced tea, but their coffee menu looked great and had all the staples; lattes, americanos, cold brews, and a few specialty drinks. The black tea was delicious and hit the spot. They only offer one other tea option, but it's non-caffeinated. No thanks, I need the boost. There's plenty of parking here, but it was packed at 8:30am, due to the Crunch Gym next door. This was my favorite coffee shop in college and I was able to visit recently. Their ube muffins are something that I always crave/think about when I am in the area and never leave without buying a couple of them. I don't know what it is, but it is the best ube muffin I've ever tried! This time around, I was also able to try their longanisa breakfast burrito along with their hojicha black sesame latte. The burrito was the perfect breakfast size, not too much but just enough. As far as the hojicha latte goes, the combination did not work that well for me. I don't know if it's the hojicha powder, or the black seasame cream, but I wouldn't get the drink again. I went to 18 Grams to get some work done. Employees were nice and helpful and I like the atmosphere of the cafe. It's a cozy, quiet, nice environment with a lot of outlets available. It may be hard to get a seat so if that is something you plan on doing, come early to secure a spot! There were many other people working in this cafe. I was originally on the booth seat because there were no more tables available and it was very uncomfortable and difficult to type. I wish the table at the booth was even just a bit more elevated so it's more comfortable for people to work at. I got a sausage breakfast burrito and it was really good! It had a nice crisp on the tortilla and the flavors and textures went well together. I was a bit hesitant because I am not really a fan of sausage but the other options sold out. However, I was really pleased and would definitely order it again. Don't expect a large breakfast burrito though. It's a perfect snack or food to help get you through the day and the price reflects that. I also ordered the 1987 half sweet. I wish they had a 75% option because it was a bit too bitter for me. Next time I'll try 100% and see how it tastes. I also got to try the Vietnamese coffee which was good! Not amazing, but it was good.
