We have been here several times and love the store! A couple of weeks ago, my partner stopped in and was treated very rudely by an employee. One bad employee can sour everything. When asking for specific wine, this employee said look at the web site. A couple more rude comments and he left. Not sure we will be back. Great buy great selection- all over the country tequila cheaper than buying in Mexico

This store has really impressed me. I normally just do the pick-up on the side of the building but recently went inside. The workers were all super friendly and we got tickets to taste various wines at stations they had (one of the workers said they often have samples on the weekends). The prices are very fair (actually one of the things I bought was non-alcoholic and way cheaper than on Amazon). They require EVERYONE in your party to be 21 and show their ID, even when buying non-alcoholic things (both in store and on the side lot--so make sure every single person in your car is 21 regardless of what you buy). I really respect that they check with everyone despite of purchase. Highly recommend this store! Consistently impressed and happy when I go here. read more

I'd never heard of Total Wine & More before they opened this location on 28th Street in Grand Rapids, but some friends told us we should check it out. Nate and I needed some items recently, so we decided to stop in. I was a bit more prepared than he was for the sheer size of the place! I'd heard it was huge, but it's really absolutely massive. They have a vast selection of beer, wine, liquor, mixers, and non alcoholic options (including non alcoholic spirits, beer, etc.). It was overwhelming to take everything in at first, but the signage in-store is pretty great to show you where everything is. We had fun checking out all the different types of booze we'd never seen before. They also have some small snack items but I'd love to see more local or Michigan options for snacks to make it a total one stop shop. We got a container of Boar's Head hummus there. You can also get cards and gift bags if you need to pick up a quick gift. I liked the selection of shooters near the front checkout so you can see all the different kinds. There's also a quick chiller for wine bottles that's really neat. The employee who rang up our purchases was friendly and polite. There's a "rewards" program but you can't use it for any alcohol discounts due to Michigan's liquor laws. I'll definitely go back to Total Wine for my home bar needs. read more

This place has everything. I mean EVERYTHING. There are also a zillion people working, so if you cannot find something or need a recommendation, you do not have to look far for an employee. The prices are really good, too. I honestly have not seen anyone in the greater GR area beat their prices. I ordered a Christmas Gift of Tequila for my dad and I had never done a pre-pick up order before. I am located in Florida and I had my mother pick this up in Michigan. Being new to this process and wanting it to go smoothly for my mom, I called ahead of time and asked about details on the pick up. The woman who answered was incredibly nice and let me know that I can choose the pick up time window and provide details on who was going to pick it up. And it's not just wine that they have either, they have quite a selection of craft beers and hard liquors. Usually when my husband and I go we start out on the wine side (for him and me) and end on the beer side (for him). At Christmas time we purchased all the hard liquors and extras that were needed to make our special Christmas drinks and the kids' Christmas gifts (homemade Irish cream, Starburst vodka, and homemade cherry whiskey)......it was just like one stop shopping! I can't say enough good things about the Total Wine in Friendswood near Baybrook Mall. They have a huge selection of everything. Excellent prices-- hard to find better pricing anywhere. Their app is great, lets you order online and pickup curbside or in the store. Employees are very helpful. They're always giving out samples which is smart because I've bought a lot of new products I would never have tried otherwise. We've been to a few Total Wine & More shops in Kentucky and Tennessee, so I was prepared for the overwhelming selection of products. Everything is listed at state minimum, but due to Michigan liquor laws, the liquor case discounts that are avaliable in other states cannot exist here. The rewards program still exists and they have a lot of non-alcoholic options that you could use your rewards towards, even if it is just a wine gift bag or soda. Staff is always helpful and friendly. I recommend going in with a list or you'll easily get distracted by all the options. read more

We came to Total Wine to buy alcohol for our wedding. We looked like lost puppies until Michael came up. He did not lead us astray. He went above and beyond to help us find inexpensive options without buying the complete bottom shelf alcohol. All staff were friendly and helpful as well. I have been there numerous times and I have rewards there so this time I go and there and I standing in line while he was helping a customer I had my shots in my hand and he decided to throw the divider on the conveyor belt I was like wow ok what's that all about all I had was three shots that I could hold in my hand so get up there he asked me for ID I said I have rewards so he let me put my phone number in and that tells you everything I thought because after I put my phone number in nobody there would ask me for ID but he did and I would of showed him my ID but he had just a crappy attitude towards me that I just said forget he quickly grabbed my shots and put behind the counter like I was going to try and steal them wow what a bad bad experience 2024 and we are still doing the same thing I don't know what his problem was towards me but it is inexcusable I could see he had a lot of anger in him lol I will take my business somewhere else I am a ARMY VETERAN and deserve better than this wow lol one more thing was the customer that was in front of me he did not ask her for a state ID WOW PITIFUL employee I went back again and that same guy was there and he really has a problem with me for some reason I am a black man but I really hope that's not the case because I don't use that type of thing but two times in a row no way I deleted the app and I am not going back anymore USA do not need people like this pitiful read more

Total Wine is a fantastic store. They have most everything you need and often much more. Prices are decent as well. The customer service people on the floor are very knowledgeable and helpful and help make the shopping experience very pleasant. The only downside are the cashiers. We've been there 5 times now and every time, without exception, we've had to help correct what they have rung up, missed coupons and wrong totals. And when you show them their mistakes they take offense and seem to get annoyed. There needs to be more training for these folks, especially in the area of customer service/relations. Love the store, cashiers need more training on the store computer system and customer service. Customers aren't your enemy, they are the reason your there in the first place. read more
