Total Wine & More is America's Wine Superstore and is the country's largest independent retailer of fine wine. There are 279 superstores across 29 states and continue to grow. When I lived in NY, there was 1 location in Westbury and in Massachusetts, there are 8 locations. All locations are pretty similar. The Total Wine & More in Natick is located in Cloverleaf Marketplace Shopping Center with other businesses such as Harbor Freight Tools and Burlington Coat Factory. The parking lot is huge so there are no problems finding a spot. The website, https://www.totalwine.com, is very user friendly and very helpful. I looked up the wines I was looking to purchase beforehand and it showed me the price, availability, and where in the store it is exactly located. There are also some delivery options. The prices aren't bad and were reasonable. I used the store pickup option to purchase 2 wines. I put in the order at 8:03am with a pickup the same day at 1:00pm and at 9:39am, I received an email stating my order is ready early. In the store, there is an Order Pickup counter. Very seamless process. Of course, I took a look around the store as well. The aisles were spacious and staff were available to offer assistance and were restocking. At checkout, there was 1 cashier open and when a line started to form, other staff members opened up to help. Total Wine & More has a great selection. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Excellent prices on wines, champagne, some but not all alcohol for example rum, brandy, scotch, tequila. Some not all and some beers too.

So I'm on the fence on my experience. My friend I walked the aisles, and experiencing the tasting sections because I am not a wine expertise nor do I know what I like. The small business stations had kind staff who were great at explaining their labels. My friend ultimately bought one of the bottles. I myself, am not an expert nor do I have much experience and was recommended to check this place out to get a tasting and figure out my preferences. Most stations were not staffed and we had to wait to be attended too. We did have some tastings, but my biggest problem was the older women staff. She was serving us, and was rude towards us, and unhelpful. I was told "why are you telling me now? That's stupid. You already tried the heavy flavor reds". I didn't know this was a rule. It could've been stated in a more kind manner. I was intimidated and didn't really feel up to trying out anymore tastings. As a newbie, I don't want to walk into a store and feel unwelcome due to my limited wine information. The cashiers were kinder, and the manager, was so kind and funny~ he made up for the rude service at the tasting station. He made me feel better and might have noticed my anxious self. They did a great job at checking IDs and making small talk~ thank you for your great customer service. read more

Unfortunately had a bad experience here so I'll have to take my business elsewhere. This anecdote happened months ago and I didn't remember about it until I drove by this place recently. The selection is good here, the prices are alright though prices may be a bit higher than other stores. Sections are clearly labeled and you can easily walk around. My problem came from the service during checkout. I came during a time I was recovering from a bad sickness, so I was wearing a mask within the store. He needs to check ID and match it with my face, understandable. However in the process of removing my mask, I accidentally dropped my ID, which inconveniently happened over a trash can. Since it's my ID I needed it, but the guy just stood there and was like "well you have to dig it out yourself." This was a full trash can, so I take everything out and place it on the floor, only to not find it within the trash can. That's when the cashier laughs, reaches into his pocket, and pulls out my ID? He tells me "maybe next time you'll open your eyes, idiot." since apparently it had just fallen on the scanner tray. First of all, he had told me to dig through the trash to find it as if he did not see it on the tray. Second of all, I am of Asian descent, and this slight jab could be taken in a racist context. I had places to be and I had just gotten off a tough day at work, so I just said thanks, grabbed my stuff, and left. I didn't really want to start a fight there after the guy just stood there and laughed. I don't know how your employees are trained but multiple people and staff were there and even one apologized for his "taunting behavior". I'll happily take my business elsewhere. read more

This place is basically a toy store for adults. The selection of drinks is awesomely diverse and the staff is very knowledgeable staff. One nice plus - they have gift materials such as bags for those last minute Christmas boozy gifts. Unfortunately I could not find sparkling cider :( All the prices are fair from what I can tell. Total Wine & More really live up to the title as they truly have Total Wine & More. The store is gigantic and carries literally every type of alcohol you can imagine. The floor staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. the cashiers are not as friendly (at least mine wasn't). The men that shop are also incredibly attractive so ladies dress to impress if you are single and looking to mingle. Also, the floor displays are hilarious and those alone make it worth the stop in. read more

This used to be my favorite store for good prices and selection but I just experienced the most terrible customer service (policy!) toward a loyal customer. After spending over $450 today, I unpacked my car and when I was carrying one of their packing boxes it completely fell apart and a $75 bottle of bourbon shattered on the ground. It appears one of the still-sealed tonic water bottles purchased leaked all over the bag, the trunk of my car and the packing box. We called customer service for any help they might offer in our situation they gave my wife a hard time and said they have a policy of only covering loss in the store when it was clearly a problem with packaging of either the tonic or the box. They couldn't help us at all (replacement, credit, coupon, anything). We will never shop here again. Update: The company responded to my review initially on Google (on 4/30) and now on Yelp (5/4) by making it seem like they were interested in more information. I already followed up with their customer care email on 4/30 so the - "please follow up and let us know how we can help" comment here on Yelp (5/4) is very disengenuous. read more

Excellent service and helpful staff with a great selection of wines- only the more affordable Portuguese wine selection is lacking (perhaps due to limited demand. My star is off thanks to the check out lady Betsy who didn't greet me and talked over (a walkie talkie?) the ENTIRE TIME I was at check out confusing the Hell out of me. I excused all that behaviour Till I wasn't even done leaving and the guy After me was greeted 'oh hiiii THANK YOU FOR WAITING' (my check out took no more than usual for 3 liquor bottles) and he got a full on chat. That's the moment I realized she didn't like the color of my skin and couldn't be bothered to have given me any service. Neither a hi in response to mine, nor A word of acknowledgement or thanks or have a nice day! Perhaps needs a little training for treating everyone equal!!!! I love total wine for their broad variety of items and their normally helpful staff. I wish the same could be said whenever I'm looking to place special keg orders. I know these take some time, so I always show up when it's not busy. Today, I showed up at 12:30 on a Wednesday. Finding a keg of stout beer (that is not guinness) is tricky and so I start with that because the rest of my order is pretty ordinary stuff. Beer keg availability is always fluctuating and the managers are always too busy to help. For anyone looking for Keg orders, you are always better off with the mom and pop shops that care a bit more than these superstores. read more

It's a big box store with huge buying power so their prices tend to be lower, but not always. Also, their "wine direct" program has a lot of value, but you have to experiment to find the gems. read more

Terrible terrible customer service I work at a program with disabled adults we collect cans for extra money we are non profit we brought our ca ns here to cash in and had a few individuals with us and the person working slammed the door on my individual and said he was not taking cans from people like that! These prices are like NH border Liquor Store prices...but they also carry craft beer so thats a plus. There are two things about Total Wine that stick out as A+ differentiators 1.) The people. You've read about it in the other reviews but I can attest, they are super knowledgeable AND friendly. They can take budget into account and give recommendations based on that. 2.) The gifts. They have SO MANY options that aren't just a bottle of wine/liquor in a gift bag. Its gift sets, accessories, munchies, swag and more. Definitely check it out if you don't know what you want but know you want it to be alcoholic. read more

Great visit. Used to this chain while visiting Florida. Same great superstore feel, but really liked that they had local New England spirits, and local beers among lots of others. Staff friendly, prices good, And, this sounds odd but, you feel SAFE in this liquor store, Can't say that for several small package shops. Appreciate their cigar humidor also. read more

Sometimes too much selection is not a good thing. Yes they had lots of selection. Yes the prices are great. But the store is disorganized. Beer in multiple locations- do you want craft brew? Or chilled? Or European? Multi packs? 6 packs? Since they are all in separate locations. So kinda hard to find what you are looking for. Or hard to browse for something new. Place was totally packed - 2 pm on the Thursday before Christmas. I can't imagine peak hours all registers were open. Go all the way to register 9 - lines are shortest. read more

Total Wine has more of a wine selection than I'll ever need. My boyfriend is picky about liquor stores and was impressed with the selection of this place and the prices. I can't give 5 stars because of the service. Generally when I go to liquor stores I need to ask for help. When I ask for help here it feels as though I am bothering the staff. One time I was making a fairly large purchase of around 10 bottles of wine. I had a question regarding the difference between two bottles. The manager made me feel stupid when responding to my questions. Overall, I think Total Wine is awesome when it comes to selection and prices. The store is clean and well organized/labeled. I drink Ron Zacapa 23Yr sipping rum which is extremely hard to find and often sells for more than $50 per bottle. Even though I only drink about one bottle per year, I was willing to special order a six bottle case through my local liquor store if I could get a decent price. To be sure I was getting a reasonable deal (buying a 6 year supply), I searched the internet and found it at Total Wine & More for $37 a bottle (didn't have to buy a case). When I showed up at my local store with printout in hand, they looked it up and said the lowest they could go would be $46 per bottle if I bought 6. Total Wine is a 90 minute drive, but it's worth it to find a time when I'm heading in that direction to save so much money. The person on the phone who took my order was extremely helpful. read more

This place is huge and has just about everything alcohol/wine/beer related that you could want. I was even able to find by my favorite IPA, Maine Lunch. The store is well organized and the prices are unbeatable. If ever I have a question about something, the staff is readily available to help and very knowledgeable. read more

Inside this huge, warehouse sized space, the place is stocked with an unimaginably broad selection of wine. If its wine you're after, there's very little you won't find here. Do grab a cart. I didn't, because I just stopped in to have a look around, killing a little time I had to spare. 1/2 an hour later I'm juggling 5 bottles around, with bottles and bottles of surprises around every turn. The selection is very neatly displayed. Broken down into sections by type, and then alphabetized. Each bottle has a color coded hang tag out in front, with pricing, producer, even tasting notes. There are special tags for staff favorites and bottles that have outstanding reviews in the press. Wines I thought showed the broad offering included a 2014 Keenan Merlot ($34.99), Gianfranco Alessandria Barbera d'Alba ($17.99), Au Bon Climat Knox Alexander Pinot Noir 2013 ($39.99), 2011 Chateau Haut Bages Liberal Pauillac ($49.99), and a Champagne Montaudon Brut ($34.99). If you really want to splurge, they've got a vertical of Petrus in the case. read more

When the malls and clothing stores don't open till 9:30AM/10AM where do we all go?! Total Wine! Where you can get the breakfast of champions of peach whiskey and wine! Smaller than the Everett/Medford one but still carries about everything you may need for a party or brunch. Their 2 minute chiller is convenient. Plenty of parking. read more

I love the selection -- I got to say the staff needs to find way of not hovering or "nebbing" into wine purchases. My girlfriend and I went there on Friday (Aug 14) and she said, don't worry I think the "advisors are only there on the weekends". We were not hounded by these people, but it was really uncomfortable. I know a little about wine, but these guys made us feel bad--not uplifted. There are a lot of really helpful recommendations on labels beside the wine --- and that's great, but the in person help was giving me the creeps. read more

I went in the store "Total Wine & More" at 321 Speen St. in Natick MA to buy something for myself while this whole pandemic situation is going on and I go in the store with my little sister because I couldn't leave her at home by myself. I go to make my purchase and the lady asks for my ID and I hand her my ID and then another lady who works there comes up to the register with blonde short hair asks me... who is the person standing next to me and I say my sister, I felt very discriminated because then she tells me unfortunately your unable to make your purchase, I couldn't believe it. I walked away and made my purchase elsewhere. This is the first time I ever go through a situation like this and will never shop there again. read more

Huge. That's the first thing you think when walking into Total Wine & More. You can's even see the other end of the building - crazy. Great wine, beer and alcohol selection. My wife grabbed some wine for Xmas. I grabbed some cool beer for a friend's gift. This place pretty much has anything you could look for. Prices are pretty reasonable too. Tried out the walk-in humidor. Very nice and selection was decent, though it obviously can't match a good cigar store. Cigar prices were very good though. Will certainly be back again. read more

Drove up this way to visit a brewery and my friend who is very knowledgable about beers said we had to check it out. This place is huge. It's a liquor warehouse not a store. They have everything. Honestly if you can't find something you like there's something wrong with you. The aisles are all neat and orderly. Everything has a sign or price on it so no guesswork. The staff here is what makes it a great place. I have never seen a place so heavily staffed. There were workers everywhere and they were all smiling and happy. Three of them offered us help. One really nice guy went out of his way to look for a beer we asked for. He also was knowledgable and made recommendations on beers. A female associate heard me talking about a wine I liked and brought me over to one she recommended that I may like. Yeah I said it. Walked me over to it. Amazing service. Prices seem lower than I usually see but it may be because it's a large place and has more buying power. This is definetly a great Place to go for your booze needs. I have tried many other places in the area and no one has a humidor in such good shape , I dont buy a lot of cigars but when I do I will only come here. I find the humidity temperature in the humidor to be just right ! Cigars are always fresh. And of course you can't beat the service or selection in the alcohol department! As I walked in the store for the first time, the vast selection is what hit me first. They have long aisles of every kind of beer, wine, and liquor you can imagine. Every section is clearly marked with a sign and is well organized. The prices were the next thing I started to notice, as they are some of the lowest I've ever seen. I'm guessing that when they buy in the massive quantities that Total Wine must buy in, that they can sell for cheap and still make money. Third, I found an abundance of cheery and very eager to help store employees at every turn. There were also multiple stands set up offering tastings, which added to the fun feel of the store.
