Driving over twenty miles to get a particular brand of wine says something about my determination--or just my insanity, but I made it. The Pembroke Pines location had a noticeably more lively atmosphere than the Boca Raton location. The place was bustling with a constant stream of people walking in. It appears I arrived during the store's scheduled tastings aka mini happy hour at Total Wine. There were a few tables set up with samples of rum, liqueur, and wine. I tried a sample of a Dominican rum called E. Leon Jimenes 1903. It had a smooth taste with a slightly sweet-spiced flavor, and it would definitely get you turnt real fast. I also sampled a chocolate liqueur, but it wasn't as good as Baileys, in my opinion. To avoid losing focus on why I was here, I walked toward the back of the store where the wines were displayed. I looked intently at each brand of Moscato. There it was on the top shelf--Jacob's Creek Moscato. I breathed a sigh of relief while grabbing a bottle, then proceeded to the checkout, but was stopped by an employee at the tasting area. She had me sample three different wines; one was peach-flavored. I didn't get the names of the wine samples, but I really like the first one as well as the second. The peach-flavored wine was lackluster. I was contemplating getting another bottle of wine...Brain to self: Okay girl, you came all the way here for ONE bottle of wine, and you got it. Don't get caught up in this sales tactic... Head to the checkout... NOW! The cashier was friendly as she scanned my item and signed me up for their free loyalty program. I'm not sure I'd spend enough to enjoy the perks of the program, but I'll see how it goes. As of right now, I'm gonna head home and chill this bottle for later. read more

This isotre is like your one stop for all your liquor needs. At first, Walked in to this store on Friday afternoon and first first thing I run into is a clerk giving out samples of various spirits. Clerk was very courteous and served a couple of small shot samples she had on the counter. From those samples , I ended up buying a bottle of Tequila with Tamarindo flavor (photo provided) which was delicious. What I like best about this store is their selection on everything from wines, champagnes, tequilas, whiskey, gin, vodka etc. love the way the wine sections are categorized which makes it easy to find what you are looking for. I originally came here to get a gift card for my son but then decided to get a "make your own" six pack for my husband as a gift. They had so many different beers to choose from it was almost hard to choose which ones to get! This store has everything you can want in terms of alcohol, wine and beer. They also have different kinds of snacks available, greeting cards and a good assortment of glasses and glassware from which to drink your alcohol. The employees I had contact with were very nice and helpful. The only reason it didn't get four stars is because they rang up one of the beers I bought as a six pack instead of a single beer which I didn't realize until I got home. When I called to let them know what happened they said they'd refund it, to just bring the receipt. When I returned with the receipt they didn't refund the full amount, they still charged me for one beer. Guess I was just surprised they did that since it was their mistake to begin with and an inconvenience for me to have to go back to the store for the refund. I think I'm just really spoiled by the amazing "customer always comes first" policy of places like Publix. read more

First time at this branch and it's definitely smaller than our usually store. Couldn't find all the stuff we were looking for. Did pick up a Santa Ana Rum for a coquito cocktail lesson and some other festive beers. This is a great location that I have been to a few times. I wrote a review about this place a couple of years ago when I went looking for a special gift for my brother-in-law. Regardless, this visit was just as good. I was looking for a funnel to easily fill my bottles with coquito. As I was walking around, one of the store associates approached me asking if he could help. I immediately jumped at the chance, since the store was busy and mami was waiting in the car. Unfortunately, they didn't have any, but he did help me find the Barcardi w/ coconut flavor and I quickly made my way to checkout. They are usually well stocked, they carry a lot of accessories you won't find in other liquor stores, much less a grocery store, and everyone is super nice--even at checkout! A fantastic place that has an endless selection of wines, liquor and beer unless you couldn't tell by the name! The staff here are extremely helpful and are always sure to reach out to you if you need any assistance, especially if you've never been here or are not as familiar with wine and whatnot.   I was and still am impressed with the wine selection here. There's so many I want to try and any trip made here has me walking out with at least one new wine bottle to try out. I am never disappointed and even have had one of the employees suggest one for me once. They know what they're talking about that's for sure. There's usually free wine sample/tastings they offer. However, due to the current situation I am not sure if they're still conducting them.   My favorite part about this place is just how spacious and organized it is. There's labels for every section and the actual price tags/item names are always updated and easy to find. There's a couple aisles down in the store that have more alcoholic related merchandise and items such as cocktail shakers, shot glasses and corkscrews. It's incredibly convenient when everything you need is all in one store. Towards the checkout sections there's an interesting area where you can purchase small sample size drinks and shots. Perfect for when debating on sampling an unfamiliar drink or only needing a small amount of a particular drink without having to buy the original large drink size. This is also best for those who are just introducing themselves to any types of drinks for the first time. The prices for these small samples are usually as low as $1.   Everything here is set at affordable prices and it's nice to feel as though I'm not sacrificing taste and quality for a cheaper price. Total Wine is the place where I totally love to hoard my wine. Their selection of wines is endless and sorted by country and region. Prices range anywhere from as low as $7 to very expensive. What I love most about Total Wine is that I can find excellent wines for under $10. And with my Amex card, I sometimes receive offers of $20 back when spending $100 here at Total Wine. Add to that a Total Wine rewards program: receive 10 points for every $1 spent and a $5 reward for every 5,000 points. That only works out to 1% back, but it's still something. Beyond their wines, Total Wine has a section for just about every type of liquor that you can imagine and at competitive prices. Think of this place as a Walmart of wine and liquor. Onto this location.. it's clean and organized and the service is very good. The staff is willing to assist when needed. So far, I haven't had a bad experience here. This place has everything for everybody, of age of course. Every wine, beer and liquor you can imagine. You want it, they got it. They also have a refrigerated area for some beers and they sell kegs. Nice friendly staff that's very helpful and always knows where everything is. They even have snacks and gift items to go along with your purchase. The store is always clean and friendly to the eyes. What can you say about Total Wine & More. As far a selections they have a ton of options to pick from. Which is the reason why I came on this visit. I've been looking for this particular tequila that I wanted to try for a long time and of course they had it. I actually gone to other liquor stores around my area and they didn't have it. This is one huge liquor/wine store! Shelves go on forever and it's quite overwhelming. We were looking for sugarless wine and one of the staff members helped us. Went in there to literally get 2 things, one of which was locked up in a case. After pushing the button for service and waiting for 5 min (no it was not busy, dead AF in there) I finally flagged someone down to get me what I wanted. Instead of just opening the case and giving me the bottle, he instead proceeds to go to some unknown stock and pull me a bottle and leave it at the front for me while I finished grabbing the rest of what I needed, hey whatever. Literally 5 more minutes later, as I go to the counter to check out, the cashier proceeds to tell me that my bottle that was grabbed FOR me, was sold to another customer. Oddly enough, supposedly right in front of me. Yep, she essentially sold the bottle that was left FOR me, from up under me. As I press her about her inconsiderate antics, she of course, gives me attitude and lip back. Asking me if I want to talk to a manager. No I don't want to talk to a manager, I want what I asked for. They supposedly were getting me another bottle. Never happened. Instead, she proceeds to begin checking out other customers. While I stand there like a fool, waiting for another bottle. That never came. Now I'm pissed. I ask where this other bottle is at, and the cashier tells me that the same one that got the initial one for me, was getting me another. Meanwhile I see him walking around in a other direction, essentially doing a bunch of nothing. As I point this out, cashier just shrugs. More or less, no big deal to her. After watching 5 customers get checked out, and still no replacement bottle brought to me, I left. I won't be back. Piss poor customer service, all around the board. I'll go to ABC. My go-to location for Total Wine. Most of the employees I interact with are very helpful, particularly Alfonso. He has always been able to help me locate wines based on my specific palate, and has always provided great recommendations based on the types of food pairing I throw in his direction. Boyfriend and I went last weekend to get some goods for my coworker's graduation party and we ended up purchasing some Monkey Spiced Rum after we had it at a table where a nice woman named Jennifer attended us. Also, we ended up getting some ginger beer as well. Admittedly while they have a lot of variety in drinks, there are some brands not available, but it may be that they just don't send that particular one to the store.
