Mind blown- I had my very first Korean corn dog at Chowology, and I honestly don't even know how to describe how amazing the experience was. I was today years old when I realized there is no actually hot dog inside! Instead, it's this incredibly yummy, gooey melted cheese stick covered in a crispy, salty-sweet potato square crust. If you have never had one of these, seriously--run, don't walk. It is an absolute must-try. Because the corn dog was so filling, I ended up having to take my main dish home, but it made for the best leftovers! I ordered the chicken katsu, and it was perfectly crispy. The edamame and pineapple in the katsu were a fresh touch that I really loved. Another major standout my friend got was the golden curry pineapple fried rice with shrimp. The balance of the savory curry heat with the sweet bursts of pineapple and plump shrimp was absolutely delicious. I told the person behind the counter taking my order that it was my first time and so I wish the would have asked if I wanted any mix ins or at least given me a heads up that ordering tofu in the mafia sauce would not involve any vegetables or sides, just a bunch of tofu with rice. My date and I shared a dish of steamed pork dumplings which were very very yummy and the average serving of dumplings you would usually get. The flavor was great it wasn't soggy or falling apart. We also got the ramen like seen in the photo and it was so so scrumptious it had delicious broth and a great handful of ingredients that enriched the flavor. The service was great it took maybe 25 minutes for all our food to arrive and the workers were super sweet. My friend suggested it after a shopping trip and it was nearby so based on the good reviews we decided to give it a try. I decided on the Golden Curry Pineapple Fried Rice with steak. It was one of the few dishes not packing heat. There wasn't a description so I was expecting a traditional preparation of the dish. I was unpleasantly surprised when the dish arrived with black beans which I detest. What Asian restaurant uses black beans? I picked around them but it detracted from enjoyment and the beef wasn't great either. I wish they listed more details of the dishes so you know what you are getting. My friend ordered a chicken and noodle dish with absolutely no favor. She had to send it back to get it sauced. Based on the fabulous reviews I was kind of disappointed with the food. The best part of my experience here was the delicious lychee lemonade. I think it had butterfly pea because it was a lovely lavender color. They had the popping lychee boba I so love. I have come here a few time with my best friend and every single time it is amazing! This place is tiny with about 3 tables inside for seating and two outside. However, the ambience and decor does make up for it! It is very colorful decorated with sticky notes and one piece posters giving it a really homey feel. This is a fantastic Korean-Fusion Restaurant in Pembroke Pines. The food was amazing, large portions, and super fresh. The prices are inline for the value. When we arrived, we received a warm friendly greeting from Lina at the register. We explained to her that we were both Vegans, she built us two wonderful dishes. Everything is made to order and can be customized to meet all your dietary needs. I recommend you try the custom bowls and crispy tofu. They also offer a healthy black rice alternative (small up-charge and worth it). You order at the counter and take a number to your seat. They have about 10 tables inside and another three or four outside. They offer both take-out and dine in. While we were eating, both Pao and Lina kept stopping by to check on us to make sure we did not need anything and that we were completely satisfied. The service for an "order at the counter" restaurant was over the top. All of the staff made us feel welcome and appreciated. I have nothing negative to report. I come here all the time, it's right next to my house and super easy to get to. They have lots of choices and their food is pretty good. I got a chicken bowl this time, but forgot to grab a picture of it I usually go, however, for the Boba tea. Although I feel like their taro tea tastes a little bit off and that's the reason I'm giving it 4 stars, I absolutely love their Thai tea and get at least one a week. We were looking for something different for lunch and landed at Chowology. We go to another restaurant on the opposite side of the plaza and never realized they were in the same plaza. Let's start off...the location was a different place and it looks like they are still waiting for the sign replacement. The old place, Lucky Star, is easier to see than the new business name Chowology. When we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly person behind the register. She explained the menu and made some suggestions on lunch options. The restaurant has some outside and inside seating but honestly it's not so comfortable, but we ate in anyway. We opted for spicy edamame to start. They were good and it was a generous portion. My husband also had an egg roll. He enjoyed it. He said it was a little small, but packed with filling so he was happy. I had a build your own bowl - I opted for white rice as my base, tofu as my protein, corn, black beans, cucumber, red onion, pineapple & avocado (for an added charge). The person taking our order recommend the yum yum sauce and the cilantro tzatziki. I hate cilantro, but this sauce was delicious and didn't have an overpowering cilantro flavor. The tofu was very generous and my husband ended up finishing it. It had nice flavor and was perfectly cooked. The avocado was perfectly ripe and also was a nice portion. My only complaint is that since the red onions are raw, I would have preferred them diced. My husband had a chicken noodle dish. It was huge and if it wasn't for the chicken, we could have shared it. (I don't eat meat). It looked amazing and smelled good too. Most of our food was served on actual plates, so that was nice. I also had an ombré lychee lemonade. It was perfect and I enjoyed it. It was super pretty and had the perfect level of sweetness. The only con to the location is the parking. Stopped in today for the soft opening. Chowology is the sister company to the popular Sovereign poke & boba spots in town. Chowology is located inside the Flamingo Pines Shopping Center next to the UPS Store and Auto Tag Agency. Same center as Gong Cha boba, one of my faves. It's a small location with counter seating by the window and patio seating. Brian was the service with a smile behind the counter. He was very attentive and helpful in answering any questions I had. To look at the menu, you can scan the QR code and it takes you to their website. I opted for the Chow Bowl which allowed me to customize my selections. Since it was the soft opening, Brian said I could add unlimited toppings. And since I was curious about the Dirty Fries and ordered enough food as it, Brian offered to send out an order to let me try these. Very nice and very thoughtful. The Chow Bowl was good and the Dirty Fries was just ok. But I'm glad I got a chance to try the Dirty Fries. Would come back to try other menu items. read more

Chowology is a cute "hole in the wall" eatery located in a shopping plaza on the Southwest corner of Flamingo Rd. and Pines Blvd. Chowology specializes in asian inspired bowls, bao, boba, and other noodle dishes. On this visit I got a Pork Bao Bun and the Asian Zing Wings: 1st the Pork Bao - A delicious fluffy and sticky bun stuffed with salty and savory pork filling. The bun was incredibly fresh and came out hot from the kitchen. I would definitely get it again. 2nd the Wings - This is one of my favorite menu items at Chowology. The wings came out on the verge of scalding hot, and had an incredible crisp, while the meat was tender and juicy. They could not have been cooked better. There was very little seasoning added prior to frying, and the accompanying Asian Zing sauce made for a perfect compliment to dip the wings in. The decor is cute, but nothing special. I really liked reading the Post-It Note wall from all the customers who filled them out. I definitely recommend if you happen to be in the area. read more

We each got bowls and none of us finished them. It's a lot of food so I found it worth the money. I had it for lunch that day and the next. The planko chicken has no taste so I would suggest to skip it. The spot is really small I think it had three tables inside and two outside. The service was great you order the food at the counter and then They bring it out to you and they did come to check on us a couple of times. Tasty new spot! If you love Sovereign in Plantation then you'll probably love Chowology too! Why? Well the owner of Sovereign is the nephew of the owners of Chowology. And he's had a hand in helping create Chowology's tasty menu. They're located in a large plaza with ample parking. There is no inside seating and only two covered outdoor tables so keep that in mind. It's a cute cozy spot with welcoming helpful service. You can select from their house specialties and signature bowls or create your own custom chow bowl. I've tried a few menu items and so far my faves are the panko chicken, chili garlic noodles and butterfly guava lemonade. So good! They have a good menu selection that is constantly evolving. Came here for din on a Friday night to celebrate mine and my sister's bday and we had a delicious time! We ordered a little bit of everything off the menu and loved it all. They were so nice to give us their rangoons complimentary since it was our first time here. We also tried the bao bun, ramen, chicken wings, chicken katsu bowl, and some teas.
