Lady baker is easily the best bakery in the Pines area! The staff is always kind and attentive. The food and drinks are delicious and you can taste the freshness in the quality of each item on their menu. The cafe is very nicely decorated and has a very welcoming atmosphere. Today I stopped by to get a matcha and a coffee and they are both very good. Their syrups and purées are made in house and the flavors are delicious. As you know, I've been on a pastry craze lately. What brought me here was their Maritozzi. Which Ive never seen offered anywhere else. I happened to be googling it in my area. This place is very busy. And it was raining so no seats outside and everything was taken inside. I made my order. And I honestly thought it would be ready super fast since I only ordered pastries-which were already made and simple coffee. We asked if we could open the umbrellas so we can sit under them while it was sprinkling. But they said it's a safety hazard. We understood. Maybe they can get some sort of awning outside because there really is no room. It was busy and took so long that I was able to wait for someone to leave. We got the table right infront of the window display. It was FILTHY. And very unappetizing to see while waiting for our food that we were about to eat. If you are going to have a display, PLEASE keep it clean. And if you know you will be too busy to clean it, just throw it away. I wish I got a picture of the lamp hanging there but it was also heavily covered in dust. I am curious what else they aren't cleaning. On to the food: Coffee: respectfully it was the most bitter coffee I've had from a pastry place. I would never order coffee here. I usually use half a sugar pack at other places. Here, I used the ENTIRE packet and it still didn't take away the bitterness. Not even a bite of my pastry helped. Such a shame. We waited a long time for coffee and it was poorly made. And expensive! I suppose "baker" is in their name, and one can't assume they're known for their coffee. Maritozzi: perfect! Soft. Pillowy. Not too sweet Cinnamon roll: soft. Pillowy. Not too sweet. Would have loved more cinnamon filling though. Croissant: buttery. Mix of soft and flaky Overall, the pastries were great. I wouldn't bother eating in. I have been to lady baker for a good 6-7 times. Sometimes its just to pick up some fresh yummy san francisco sourdough, that they bake fresh daily and slice it up as well. Which is TO DIE FOR. I love sourdough bread and i swear i can eat this bread alone by itself and CAREFUL. May or may not eat the whole loaf myself. The cappuccino and lattes are also very good. Ive only had hot drinks here but i di think soon i will be trying their iced latte. As for the deserts i trying this chocolate covered croissant that was so good. Theres so many yummy baked goods i have yet to try but trust me when i say soon i will. The the staff is so sweet and helping. Always with such a smile on their faces. Well... there's certainly things to get and not get here. I went in for the first time ever and tried their guava and cheese croissant and their matcha. The croissant was great!! Flaky and hard outside with a soft inside. Would get again. Their matcha might as well been a cup of milk with green food coloring. Literally awful and tasted like nothing. It was PACKED and stuffy in there but the staff were all working really fast and got the orders out quickly. There's also barely any seating in there so don't plan to eat inside. Even for the seating that there was, you'd be surrounded by the people waiting in line. I would maybe come back for another croissant but definitely not for the drinks. read more

I've been before and it was good! This time was better! I got the tiramisu latte and it literally tasted like tiramisu - that was a big plus! I went Mother's Day weekend so it was obviously very busy but the staff did a great job at managing customers and the line the best they could. The cashier was very nice and friendly and made recommendations for what we should try. We went with Tiramisu Lattes, Egg Danish, Key Lime Croissant, Banana Bread and the Turkey and Jam sandwich. The bakery provided an open view concept which added to the experience and eliminates any question of freshness non-transparency. The manager poured me a hot cup of strong Ethiopian drip coffee which tasted great. The bakery screamed coffee house vibe. The wine bar was not open at this hour but spewed elegance. I'm not a wine enthusiast, but the chrome espresso machine below the wine display was more my groove. The wine bar is open Thursday - Saturday nights with a Sunday brunch. Drive 35 minutes here and 35 back cause the baked goods looked good on a tiktok. I should learn my lesson with these influences. Got a croissant and a bread pudding both which were obviously not fresh maybe my fault for going at 5pm. The chocolate croissant was stretchy and chewy instead of flaky and nice to where I had to pull hard to rip in half. I've tried the almond croissant, dulce de leche cruffin, double chocolate croissant, pumpkin spice, and pistachio baklava. My favorite I'd say was the chocolate one because it really stood out with its decadent high-quality dark chocolate cream. The pistachio baklava, for me, needed more filling. The place itself is pretty small, with just a few tables, and they're full even early in the morning (on weekends), so it's clearly a very popular spot. This bakery is only a few doors down from a cupcake shop so not sure why they would do that. The fresh sourdough smell was overwhelming but a good thing. I'm building my own coffee bar in my house and got so many good ideas from the coffee novelties on the shelves. The little cakes and cookies looked so fresh and I loved the big bakery kitchen behind the counter. They have a new wine bar inside with a good sounding lunch and dinner menu. Had a nice cup of coffee and just sat at a table and talked with the manager. Very cute place but with limited seating. Staff were very friendly and service was quick. I ordered iced matcha and a maritozzi. Loved the matcha but thought the maritozzi was just alright. The cream was tasty, but personally I didn't care much for the brioche bread. Had it been puff pastry with the same cream, I would have enjoyed it much more. Love this little bake shop in Pembroke Gardens! They are actually expanding to create a wine bar attached right next door. It is a small store front but there are umbrella seats outside - perfect for a cafe treat outside during great Florida weather. Walking in you're greeted with the case of wonderful fluffy pastries of all sorts! We asked the cashier between the Almond Croissant and the Bread Pudding Muffin which would she prefer. She was very kind to entertain me, and she ended up convincing me to order both instead of picking just one. And both did not disappoint. The dough of the Bread Pudding was still so moist inside, and crispy on the outside, with just the right amount of Nutella filling to complement the bread without making it overly sweet. We really appreciated that it wasn't a sugar infested bread budding. Perfect level of sweetness. And omg the Almond Croissant. The key to those is not so much the croissant but definitely the almond filling. And there was a really good amount of almond filling proportional to the dough and almond topping. There's no such thing as too much almond. I also got an iced Vanilla Lavender latte with regular milk and it was delicious! Need to go back for all the other pastries. read more

Waited in a long line to get bread and order food to sit down to then learn if we wanted to order and sit it would be the other side of the cafe so then we went to the other side and was told to wait outside which was ridiculous after waiting 20 mins in line to go to another line and not to mention it's hot outside. After waiting outside I tried to just go back into the cafe to get bread and leave and the cashier wouldn't even look in my direction so I wasn't going to stand in the line again, went back outside to let the hostess know we will just leave. I have been a customer of lady baker since she began by selling bread inside of a smaller cupcake shop pre covid era. I really enjoy her pastries, coffee and sandwiches. Also patiently waiting for her to bring back the coconut loaf. Her pastries are flavorful and decadent but not overly sweet where it kills your palate. Lady Baker is a great addition to Pembroke gardens! With a small, intimate restaurant/ bar connected next door to the bakery, it has plenty to offer. There are around 3-4 tables with umbrellas outside and a few tables inside the cafe. There are so many delectable options on the bakery side along with coffee bar/ drink options. You order at desk and get a table number. On a late Friday morning, this place was packed with no tables available so that's the only downside. There are only about 6 tables but it wasn't long before someone left. I ordered the egg danish and cortado. The egg danish was crispy, flakey, and so flavorful! The cortado was also great! My kids love the cruffins but I feel like the fillings are usually way too sweet or there is too much of it. This is evident with the Nutella Cruffin and Dulce de Leche Cruffin. Those are a pass for me. I can't handle that much sweetness. The Vanilla Lavender Latte is my new favorite coffee drink here, so tasty and not overly sweet. The lavender was just a hint and not overpowering as you would think when you think of lavender in your latte. I've had lavender lattes before and I like them but I really like the vanilla addition. Adds that hint of sweetness. Bonus, I dipped my croissant in my latte. Oh em gee!!! Game changer. I always see it done on social media and of course wanted to do the same. So yummy! We don't go this far west very often, but when we do, we go to Lady Baker. The quiche is light and good, but skip the side salad that comes with it. The real draw is the delicious pastries here. My favorite is the guava and cheese croissant. The croissant is rich, soft, and just the right amount of flaky. If you want an extra sweet treat, the Nutella cruffin is just as delectable as it sounds. The inside is cute, but small.
