My experience with this location was solely bad because of their cashier Maeve. I was getting a 6 pack of cider before getting ready for a cruise and of course I had to show my ID, which is understandable, but my friend who was with me had to show his ID as well. Mind you I am 26 and he is 27, but she was acting as if they were fake. Then she scans my moms ID, but brings the manager over for mine when we are all from Ohio. Her poor attitude, bad demeanor, and lack of professionalism turned what was a great experience at this store into an awful one. Everyone else at that store who was there was wonderful. Piece of advice if you are visiting there and you see Maeve be prepared to be questioned on the legitimacy of a valid ID, no polite attitude, and someone who clearly does not care about her job. This is my favorite Total Wine & More location. First off, the parking lot is huge. Even though it's shared with a bunch of other businesses, there's never an issue finding a spot. The store itself is spacious and well-stocked. It has a large variety of all kinds of alcoholic beverages, and surprisingly, there's even a non-alcoholic selection, too. One time, a worker was sampling some non-alcoholic wine, and I gave it a try. Holy crap my eyes were opened to a whole new world and I fell in love with it (Giesen). I would never have known about this NA wine if it weren't for the samples. Speaking of sampling, they do samplings pretty frequently (I believe Thurs-Sat or Sun). This way you can try new things before purchasing. The staff is always asking if we have any questions and are so helpful. Still the same Total Wine I enjoy shopping at but this particular had some loose threads that keep it from that 5/5. Early Saturday morning run to get some booze for the weekend and first impressions walking to the store weren't great. Just outside were the trash cans out front are overflowing. So much so it's spilling out on to the sidewalk. Not a good look. How can you open up and not have someone empty that within the first hour? There weren't too many shoppers at this time, which was cool, less of a crowd. Usually, staff walk about the store doing their stocking, etc. one well known thing is staff ask you if "Do you need help finding anything?" or eager to make recommendations. Didn't get that here even though I crossed paths with a few staff members too. Beyond that, again this Total Wine is more or less the same stock wise and has a decent layout and the staff lady who helped check me out was pretty nice. Great selection of all things alcohol. Was a fan of this chain/store until I realized that they way overcharge for beer by the can/bottle. They allow split six packs but charge way more per bottle than for a full six pack. That's fine, but even the prices in the single can/bottle section don't match the price at the register. This has happened to me on multiple occasions, so it's not just a one time fluke. Either their inventory system is really disorganized or they are deliberately overcharging at the checkout. My favorite place to go! I usually come here for a good deals on beverages and Moet, Veuve clicquot, Baileys etc. They also have my favorite Canada dry with 0 sugar and 0 calories. Its so difficult to find it nowadays. They have my favorite strawberry beer (Fruli) that I tried first time in Leavenworth. This time I took also assorted Belgium beer with apple, raspberry, peach and cherry. I also bought Baileys which has less calories and less sugar. My social life these days are confined to my couch, so we thought to stock up on some liquor for some at-home happy hours and other activities. This location is fairly new just behind the Whole Foods in Interbay area. Nice and clean inside, friendly greetings as we entered the store, fully stocked shelves for whatever kind of liquor you are looking for. Walking the aisles, they have a lot of different brands for them high class drinkers, blue collar drinkers and budget drinkers. With me, I'm more on a sliding scale depending on the mood, so we just chose something we've had a few times before to re-live some glory days. Staff was friendly asking us if we needed help or need recommendations etc, prices seem to be what I thought it would be, check-out was pretty easy, they will bag it & tag it for you and you will be on your way out. I really liked this place! It's a warehouse of booze, which by all indications means that you would most likely find anything and everything that you're looking for! I especially appreciate the fact that they were more than willing to look up whatever item you were looking for and ask if you were interested in ordering it from them. I'm not sure if they still do this, but it is worth asking and I appreciated that offer the last time I was there! I was looking for a specific hard cider that they had mentioned they ran out of, and it turned out they were still selling them individually - just not the cases! The layout of the store is clean, organized, and the staff knows a lot about what pairs well with what dish or potential gift ideas. Parking at this location was easy as well. The four stars are for the liquor selection, particularly the vodka. Holy Infusion, does Total Wine offer a huge selection of vodka from around the world and every corner of the US. I was disappointed in the wines offered. Primarily inexpensive and popular, the vino selection was very pedestrian. Unique, small producers are not available. From my youth, the wines for sale would be akin to Blue Nun, Lancers, and Mateus. Anyone over the age of 60 will understand my reference. I will certainly hit up Total Wine imagining it to be called "Total Booze." My wine needs will be met elsewhere in Seattle. read more

They have knowledgeable and helpful staff willing to select the right wine to suit your taste and price point. In addition, they offer wine tastings and tiny bottles of liquor for $1, both of which allow you to try different options without making a commitment. I highly recommend mixing a tiny bottle of Fireball Whiskey with a tiny bottle of Rumchata - delish! If you're a fan of the many flavors of Bailey's Irish Creme, you can find them here! I went in looking for some specific items such as banana and lychee flavored liquor for use in making martinis. Think I stumped them? Nope! They had both. Huge place - absolutely cavernous - and full to the brim with an astonishing variety of wine, beer, and hootch, plus a crazy plethora of accessories. Prices seem very reasonable. Selection is vast and very well organized. There's plenty of parking. Fair warning for introverts: all sales associates are set to Super Sales Attack mode and POUNCE if you as much as look like you might be making eye contact. Or even if you just walk through their force field. Or make a comment to your shopping partner, like "Wow! Look at all the tequilas!" This Total Wine is practically hiding behind some industrial buildings on W. 15th Ave. I didn't even know it was there until I happened by it one sunny Sunday afternoon on my way from Belltown to Golden Gardens for some beach time. What an amazing selection they have! To be fair, I don't think i've ever walked into a Total Wine and not been completely blown away. This huge new store is bright, clean, and has helpful staff available if you're looking for something specific. Due to the size of the store it doesn't seem like they have quite enough employees to be easily found if you're in a hurry. I perused the aisles before tracking an employee down to ask if he could look in the computer for any guava ales or any beverages infused with guava, etc. He was able to type it into the search query and came up with two items that they had in stock. Needless to say I purchased both items! This is truly a hidden gem in the Interbay area - it should not be missed! Parking is plentiful, and if you're going to a picnic somewhere, you can get ready made foods across the street at Whole Foods and then come here for your beverages. read more

This place reeks of scam. What they're doing has to be illegal- it's certainly unethical. It started when I called about acquiring some good bourbon. The English guy who answered the phone told me he didn't have any good bourbon in stock- but he'd be willing to "sell me some of his private collection". What's really going on here is that this particular employee is buying up all the good stuff before it's available to the public- and then selling it out of his car at inflated prices. He gave me one of his business cards with prices on the back- this was clearly a process he'd been through before. The fact this guy gave me his Total Wine card with the prices shows that he's not hiding anything from management. I can't understand how they would let this kind of behavior occur. I tried returning a gross flavored vodka, which was highly recommended by the staff, the next day after purchasing it. I was not aware that I could not return it because it's been opened. The website just said to bring your product and receipt for a refund. What a disappointment and waste of money. I had came here early in the morning last week to pick up some alcohol for a friend's party. The staff were really friendly, and they greeted me as I walked in. The store is enormous. It was my first time being in a liquor store. I usually purchase my alcohol from Target, QFC, etc. I roamed the aisles trying to look for a certain alcohol that was listed as in stock online. The store was really overwhelming, but at the same time it was great that they had so many selections to choose from. After roaming around for a bit, I decided to ask the employee where the rum was located. She told me that it was at the end of the store and off I went. I found what I was looking for and every employee that passed me, kindly checked in on me to see if I needed any further assistance. I was the only person in the store since it was so early, and I appreciated them checking to see if I needed help instead of just chit chatting around. I made my way to the checkout counter, and I fully expected to get ID'd. The cashier asked for my ID, to which I then handed it to her. Here's the reason for the 3 stars. The employee had inspected my ID closely, but that wasn't enough for her. She then bent my ID (not to the point of it being deformed, but she did give it a good bend). I read online that people (bouncers, bartenders, etc.) do that, because fake IDs will snap in half when bent due to how cheap the quality is. I've never had someone bend my ID before. They usually scan it, and I'm on my merry way. Even bouncers check it very closely, and then they let me pass. After bending it, she scanned the barcode on my ID. What was the point in bending it in the first place?? She then called a manager over for an ID check, to which he approved it after inspecting it thoroughly. I thought that the whole encounter was very odd. I've never had a clerk check my ID that thoroughly. I'm not sure if getting a manager to check an ID is standard protocol for every customer there, or if I was singled out due to my young age/looks. I understand that they don't want minors with fake IDs getting by, but bending it is kinda unnecessary. My drivers license is enhanced due to the new Washington state travel law being enforced. I've never seen someone go out of their way to get a fake enhanced ID. They usually just get a fake standard ID. The enhanced IDs come with a RFID chip inside, so I really didn't appreciate my ID being tampered with. All in all, it's a great place if you're looking for a wide range of alcohol. Just brace yourself in case the clerk goes around bending your ID! read more

Me and my friends were ALL racially profiled and used as catalysts to help her fulfill some Wierdo power trip and overzealous sense of cashier authority. Like - if you don't like our race or type of people why didn't you just ring us up so we can move along??????????? INSTEAD you decided to interact with us MUCH LONGER THAN YOU HAD TO!!! Literally SO confusing lol UPDATE: We went to BevMo & they only needed ID of the person purchasing (not all 6 of us in the store that passed ID check and our almost 40 yr old friend waiting in the CAR???) & the young lady that checked us out was super sweet. I came in here today just to look at the wine selection. I didn't purchase anything and just went to walk out like normal. I noticed they blocked off all the exits and you have to walk through the registers and it's super narrow. I don't think that's very intelligent during a pandemic to make me walk behind someone and wait in a line to get out of a store. The cherry on top was when I was walking away and some older gentleman with white hair yelled at me from the door and across the parking lot "did you find everything okay" like what was the point of that dude? I felt like he was trying to imply I had committed theft. Check your cameras dude, I walked around, tried to figure out how to leave your store and angrily left with nothing. But don't worry I wont ever come back. Do yourself a favor and shop at a liquor store downtown, leaving the store is easier and some boomer won't yell at you for no damn reason. Great selection, discounted prices/promo offers, and they had a riesling I hadn't been able to find available at my nearby grocery spots. Such a convenient service to be able to have alcohol delivered to your door, same day if need be. My order was packed securely by store staff and delivered by DoorDash. Delivery person was professional, followed my building entry instructions perfectly, and just needed to quickly scan the back of my ID. Will order from this store again. read more

Ordered a case of wine to be delivered between 3-4. Set aside plans and waited to make sure i was home. At 4 I received an email stating that the delivery had been returned to the store and my card would be credited in 7 days. I called the store to ask what happened. There is no way i missed the delivery. The person on the phone told me she was sorry, they used a third party delivery service and could not tell me what happened. She really could have cared less.
