I am going to give this place 3.5 stars due to the waitress not being attentive. After 30 minutes, I stopped smoking my cigar, and I had to go into the business to get the waitress to come out and acknowledge me for a drink. I also wanted to buy a Monte Cristo Platinum cigar, and they didn't have it in stock. The person inside did recommend another cigar, which I enjoyed. read more

We were vacationing in St Pete's and took some time to "chill" at a cigar bar! Greeted immediately by courteous staff and the intoxicating aromas, and the decor was reminiscent of a Cuban Speakeasy. Bar selection was Top Notch! I'm a Bourbon drinker, and was impressed with the rare and hard to find labels on the top shelf. We settled in,ordered drinks and lit up some stogies! I was visiting downtown St. Pete and wanted cigars. Fortunately, Central Cigars is conveniently located on Central Avenue, just down the street from the location of our hotel. Being that we had been drinking craft beer all day and just finished dinner, we decided to stop in for a drink and something not craft-beer related. I was impressed with the dark-wooden interior, robust cigar selection, and array of different whiskeys to keep me kosher and kind -- kind and kosher. Central Cigars has the ideal location given its vicinity to dozens of bars on the Central Avenue block between 3rd and 1st Street North if you need to balance out the buzz of alcohol with the pull of tobacco. Its lounge is inviting, cozy, and relaxed for patrons who want a breather from the barrage of bar noise and enjoy a good smoke, with its plush leather chairs and bar counter. Central has an extensive selection of cigars, comprising many brands from which you can choose within their temperature/humidity controlled humidor. For my money, I always go for either the Oliva Series V or Padron 1964 Anniversary, depending on what they have available, but Central seems always to have what I seek. Enjoying a smoke while I have either a Balvenie 12 or 1792 on the rocks is the way to go if you ask me, and Central offers the right ambiance, environment to give you the experience for which you seek as a cigar and whiskey aficionado. read more

My apologies but I only took one photo. And it's terrible. I know nothing about cigars but based on the yelp reviews, I went to this location. Surprisingly, I went during the middle of a workday and was able to find decent parking. Upon entering, I was greeted by a lovely a lady. She asked what I was looking for. I told her two sets of gifts and approximate what I wanted to spend. What was amazing, she actually undersold me on products first. Which I really appreciate. And she even explained the different levels of the cigars. I truly appreciate her taking the time to make me feel welcome. If I ever need to purchase cigars for friends again, this will be the spot. read more

Beautiful shop located right in downtown. An entire wall filled with Cigars - an amazing variety and selection. All kept in perfectly humid conditions for cigars. On the other side a just as long bar with all sorts of adult beverages to accompany a wonderful cigar. In the back a huge open spaced smoking room. I used their bathroom and it was both impeccably clean and smelled amazing - also the woman's bathroom in a place where I was the only female. Everyone who worked there was friendly and were attentive enough. Seems like an amazing place and definitely a spot to visit post covid. Scored 3 amazing cigars! read more

Connected internally to the building with Ruby's Elixir and their fabulous live music, there's not a better way to spend a lazy evening in St. Petersburg, enjoying your cigar and cocktail on one of the couches in front of the building on Central Avenue while relishing the dulcet tones coming from Ruby's. read more

I don't like cigars but my brother does so we stop by, as soon I walk in someone ask for me ID and let me in. Minutes later when my brother is enjoying his cigar i decide to go for a beer and the bartender kick me out because my ID expired couple months ago, And I don't even drive. Anyway i walk out and my brother start looking out for me and when he find me outside he brought me a beer, three minutes later like 3 persons from the staff approached us and tell us that we have to leave because of my ID. At this moment we were pissed and outraged we try to explain them that the expiration date has nothing to do with my birthdate and they called police. We left. I just felt discriminated. Came here after looking at their website. Was interested in their house rolled cigars. Walked in, bartender looked at me and didn't say a thing. I looked around the cases for about 5 minutes. Not my job to ask for help or greet people working there. Walked by the bartender, he glanced at me and walked further away. I left. It's okay, they have plenty of other customers and I have other options. They could use some lessons on how to run a business, though. Wasted $2.35 on a meter parking but that's better than wasting my money on a business who wouldn't appreciate a single dollar. read more

I am a St. Pete local and I have to say this is by far the worst place downtown. The cigars are overpriced and the service is awful. I order a lukewarm draft beer and a 20 dollar cigar while having the bartender gave me a terrible attitude after asking for a water. She was condescending and horrible to order from. The restroom guy thinks he's from the show Sopranos. He has bummed me over trying to use the restroom and the last time I went there he calls me a tough guy and asked me why I was in "his" line. Total jerk. This was the 3rd time I've had issues with him. Finally I had to approach management. Never go here if you want to enjoy your night out. Just awful read more

Great place to get cigars. They have a nice selection. Their staff is pretty knowledgeable too and guide you to a nice selection. Be careful about what you pick though because some of their recommendations are a bit pricy. After you pick a cigar walk to the back and see if there is any live music. There usually is. They also have a good whisky selection as well. read more

Central Cigars & Cigar Bar is a great choice in downtown St. Petersburg to purchase, smoke cigars and have a cold cocktail all at the same time. Yep, this is definitely a cool place and it looks like an old School speakeasy smoking joint. It's a good thing my brother only dropped me off at the corner to run in and buy cigars otherwise I could have been there a lot longer smoking and drinking and making new friends. Pop over to the bar with live music that's connected to it if you're looking for a well made cocktail, the Negroni I ordered from this side was undrinkable but the other side produced some of the best I've ever had and you can float between the two areas + outside seating. Atmosphere is good and they're open late which I appreciate. read more

Good selection of cigars & drinks were reasonably priced but the staff were not very friendly at all, it felt like we were inconveniencing them by being there at all. And we got there at 11:30 and were told they closed at 1 so it's not like we were there right at closing either. There was a bouncer that was nice and gave us some suggestions for late night food which was nice. read more

We started with the dip trio (beet hummus, olive tapenade, and babaganoush with fluffy pita triangles), which was fantastic. Each dip had an awesome flavor, especially the beet hummus. We also got the tahini, date, and cashew salad and loved it. My husband isn't a salad guy and said he'd only have a bite, but then he ate half. The rich and spicy tahini mixed with the sweet date, creamy cashew, and fresh/crisp salad was such a great flavor combo. I will note, they go heavy with the tahini on the salad, but we weren't complaining. I got the zataar salmon for my main. A deliciously spiced zataar crust on top of a delicately flaky salmon made for a wonderful meal. My husband got the kafta en croute, which were ground lamb/beef meatballs surrounded by a flaky pastry and topped with pomegranate over a tahini sauce. I kept stealing bites (which was fine, there was plenty to share) it was so good and such a unique entrée! For drinks, they have uniquely spiced cocktails and mocktails. The drinks took longer to arrive than the food, but they were worth the wait. We were too stuffed for dessert, but next time we want to try their tiramisu (made with Turkish coffee and cardamom). We had a wonderful meal and will be back! The sad thing was that half the restaurant was empty. We think it's a unique addition to DTSP and is definitely worth checking out.

The bartender negligently served us drinks loaded with vodka. Because of his carelessness, I tasted alcohol for the first time in over 36 years of hard-earned sobriety. The bartender apologized and promised the drinks were "on the house."Instead, they charged us $66.04. When we called management to fix it, we were only given a partial refund of $27.82, leaving an unauthorized $38.22 charge.Worse than the theft is the staggering cruelty of management. When Mike called to resolve this in January, the manager/owner on the phone literally laughed at us regarding the situation, alongside a room of his friends who joined in the mockery. To treat a severe, dangerous threat to a person's life and recovery as a joke is deeply unhinged. If you are sober, in recovery, or have a medical condition, stay far away from this venue. They do not care about your safety, and they will mock you for it.
