I hosted my son's birthday and all they did was give us a basketball court for $325 for 2 hours. I expected more than just a basketball court and 2 boxes of pizza, missed to deliver one more. The description said that 2 qualified trainers will play games with the kids which they didn't. I was just disappointed with the birthday event I hosted for my 6 year old . You are better off getting a peloton app membership and exercising at home.

I also like that this one doesn't feel as packed as other locations as well as there's a lot more room for weights/strength training. There are some things that could be better. The cleaning stations are a lot more spread out here and I've found more than a few times I've had to run around to 2-3 of them to get paper towels because they would be empty despite there being 2-3 staff on duty. They told me they wanted to teach me the skills do do this on my own, and they certainly did. In the last year, I have gone back 4-5 times with a friend to just work out for fun, to learn a few new moves, and just stay motivated. Absolutely excellent. There's no unneeded glamor, no over-pumped-up trainers, this is real and this is practical. And it works. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is I would like to find a powerlifting contest trainer, and Powersource is more of a practical place. They train real people, all day every day, and that is good and they are very good at it, and the powerlifting trainer would kind of be overkill for them anyhow. Today's workout was a circuit with many different exercises. What is nice about the studio is that they have a few large screens to lead you through which exercise were on, how long is left of each exercise, and a video to demonstrate the exercise. Went here for a Bod Pod body composition test and had a really good experience. This gym is one of…read moreonly a handful of places in the cities that offers Bod Pod technology (which is just as accurate as the underwater dunk test, if not more, and only takes a few minutes). The test was only $35 ($65 for 2 if you want to do a baseline measurement and then a post test after a few months of training) and the trainer was incredibly informative, knowledgeable and friendly. Though I only did the Bod Pod, they do a lot of other fitness testing, including VO2 max testing which I am going back for. The gym itself was small (at least by Lifetime standards) but really clean (at least by LIfetime standards) and had all of the basic equipment. The biggest downfall is that right across the parking lot is a place called Queen of Cakes. I can see that it would take some serious willpower to drive away without stopping in and negating your entire workout.
