Left the salon annoyed with ugly overcharged nail set. Woman next to me kid kept banging the table and whining. Nail tech was getting annoyed with me because he made my nails uneven and couldnt do a simple french nail. Can still see bumps and unevenness on the nails. All different shapes. Terribly filed. After ONE week (i dont work and barely use my hands or clean with chemicals bare hand) nails are lifting. For 75$ on a ACRYLIC REFILL that was an absolute scam. I live in MASS and was visiting NY and was told to go by there. Their instagram was very misleading. Reached out to complain and was offered a "discount if i go back" and no kind of refund when they take apple pay and could have done something. Pics of leopard print were my nails BEFORE the refill. Aj did the plain pink and white french refill. I was also in my chair for 1.5 hours while my friend did a gel pedi and gel extension set and was done at the same time. Absolutely disappointed. Ripped off completely. Gave them a chance and now never going back. This is probably one of the worst nail experiences I've had in months. I came in to get an acrylic set done, i called beforehand and they told me it starts at $56. I showed my tech, Cindy, the set i wanted (pretty intricate) and she said she could do it and it would be $110, which i was fine with because it was a detailed set. As she started doing the nails, it was clear she did not know what she was doing and other techs kept coming over, which was concerning to say the least. She then told me i couldn't do both of the colors on the set or it would be an additional charge? Which made no sense because she already gave me a price. I decided to just do the one color (pink) after going back and forth and her refusing to do the yellow. After that she attempted the design and it genuinely looked so bad i just had to choose another set. I wouldn't mind if she told me from the beginning she didn't know how to do the nails i showed her but she waited until we were almost 2 hours in before doing this flower. When i realized it was not going to look how i wanted, i told her we can change the set to something easier. She was visibly upset and you could tell she did not care how she did my nails after that. She did the nails very sloppy and some of the lines were uneven. She then said it would be $95 even though the set was way less complicated than the initial one. Went to this place for the first time 2 days ago for a mani and pedi and it was a complete disaster! My pedicure was rushed and lady added some rose beads to my water for $10 extra before telling me. Didn't spend any time on my feet ... it was completely RUSHED!! I've been going to Touch Nails for about 3 years now. I left to go to Florida and came back home and decided to get a pedicure. Never again! Ever since half of the staff left it is truthfully a disgusting place. I've watched them use the same tools without disinfecting or sanitizing their tools today. & I'm so upset because I came in to get a pedicure. Prior to me coming here I had acrylic on my right big toe and asked if I can get it soaked off . The lady receptionist said to me that it will be "FILED DOWN" Next thing I know, I'm sitting in the chair starting my pedicure and the guy started filing down my nail. Then "KANDY" who was sitting next to him grabbed a fake nail and snatched my nail right off. It was so painful! That was my first time having an acrylic in the first place and for them to do that showed they DO NOT CARE! Just want your dollar. It really pissed me off NEVER EVER AGAIN I DONT RECOMMEND especially if you're looking for a sanitary and healthy place to get your nails done during these times. Service: Gel Pedicure & Right Big Toe soaked off with regular polish. It feels very drab with the dark paint and lack of energy from the staff- everyone was taking a nap when I came. They must work very long hours. The salon needs some life. I got a gel manicure and pedicure, so far it looks great and was inexpensive. My tech spoke good English and honored all my request. They have an assortment of very pretty colors to choose from. This was my first time going to Touch Nails. My friend recommended it to me because she usually goes to get her lashes and nails done with her mother. I made the journey to Touch Nails to get my lashes done for my 21st birthday. I liked that you didn't have to book an appointment. I just called the day before to double check. The ladies there were very nice and the rooms in which they did the lashes were very cute and clean. I believe my lash tech's name was Zoe. I told her that this was my FIRST time getting lash extensions and she was pretty nice and understanding. I wanted a natural cat eye look and I think she did a good job. The final product was a littleeee bit more than I intended (because, again, this was my first time getting lashes done so I didn't want it to be too much). However, I still think they were on the more "natural" side, and they looked cute! I got them done on the 17th of March, and it's April 1st and they're still on for the most part. My left eye is fully the same, but the lashes on my right eye have started to fall off a little, which has been botheringggg me LOL. But what can I say. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT waste your money nor time here. First: The nail technicians were incompetent and did not know how to take off my dip powder manicure. The man who started my nails left me to soak in nail polish remover (which is not the way to remove dip powder) and without addressing me, started working on another customers pedicure, I had to ask for someone to take it off. When I asked for a regular manicure I was approached twice by the same person as to why JUST wanted that, pressuring me to get a gel manicure, or my eyebrows done. Half way through the woman TOLD me to pay and gave me a dirty look when I pulled out a card (I wasn't are that it was cash only). By the way, the woman yanked at my cuticles without any oil or lotion. After the horrible removing experience I wanted to wait to see how she painted before tipping and before she finished the nail technician rudely asked "are you going to tip me?" through her mask. I told her that I had every intention to before I leave but I wanted to see how she finished me. Visually pissed off the nail technician sent me to the dryer and shoved my hand into the dryer messing up two of my nails, and when she went to fix them- she yelled out loud and told me that "I" had to be more careful. While fixing the nail, she hastily opened the nail polish bottle and spilled nail polish on my pants and the floor. Needless to say, I walked out. And I will never be back. PS. I know this is long but from other reviews I feel like I don't have to mention how dirty and unkept the salon is. I didn't see any technician using sterilized materials. I've been going to Touch nails for the past 3years & I must say that this is hands down one of, if not the best nail salons in Brooklyn. The customer service is great from the manger Tina( She's an absolute darling) as well as the nail technicians. As for skills, we all have our favorite nail tech & mine happens to be Mae. I'm not saying the others aren't good but this is who I prefer to do my nails as Tina no longer does nails. They also added other services besides nails so you can now get facials, lash extensions & even laser hair removal. This salon is more on the pricey side but trust me, it's worth every penny! However, my only Issue is that space is tight so I suggest going alone or during week days morning hours which is less crowded. Saturday's are ALWAYS crowded!! I recommend you leave your child at home as the nail salon is pretty small & seating is limited. Also, be prepared to spend half the day there if you arrive anytime after 12:00pm / 1:00pm on Saturday's. read more

First things first, I LOVE my nails. I got pink ombré using "builder gel". What exactly is builder gel? I'm not sure but it made my price skyrocket to $65. The nails actually lasted 3 weeks. At 3 weeks, my nails were growing a little but there was barely any lifting. My nail tech was nice, although she swindled me into getting the builder gel as it costs more than the powder usually used for ombré nails. The reason for the 3 stars is overcrowding. This salon has become popular on Instagram (that's how I found it) so it attracts a lot of people. Therefore if you come maybe an hour after opening, your wait time will be ridiculous. On behalf a friend who went on my recommendation to soak off her nails & get a new set. She was turned away! They were so crowded that she was told that there's nowhere to sit. I think they should get a bigger place, as the salon is actually small. Also, when I went I was looking at the girl who was seated next to me nails. They weren't good. The freestyle design and just the technical aspects, sucked. So it's somewhere, that it depends what nail tech you get. I got lucky on the day I went. Also, they should accept cards. Yesterday I got my nails done by Coco and let me tell you this is by far the worst nails designs I've ever had. The first photo is what my nails looked like before; I needed a fill so unfortunately these had to go. Before we even started we discussed what was being done. I said I needed a fill and I had white powder acrylics. She tried to convince me to get a new set and I said no. I didn't need a new set, just a fill like I called and made an appointment for. Keep trying to get me to do a new set the whole time she did my nails. My old set wasn't lifted, or anything. It wasn't even bad honestly it was just a bit grown out; 2 1/2 week old nails. She finally just does what I ask and the fill is done. The powder is splotchy so I decide to get designs. The picture I showed Coco is bomb, and I ask her can she do these how they are exactly in the photo? If not it's ok I'll pick another design. She claims she can do them. She gets started and it went down hill from there. I kept trying to look at them but I felt rushed by her asking me to immediately put my hands under the gel light. I peaked at them when they came out to see what she had done, I was not satisfied. I kept making suggestions to help her achieve the design but she wasn't grasping it. If the nail art is too much for an artist say that and be upfront. I could tell she was bothered and the nail shop I think was closing or her ride was waiting I'm not sure. I ended up telling the cashier I wasn't happy with them their ok and I'll come back tomorrow. I called the next day to explain what happened and was told to come in to fix them. They admitted the nails looked horrible and apologized. No price was ever mentioned or expected. I came in the next day and they sent me to another better artist. She initially tried to charge $65 before I even had her start my nails so I said "I came in here yesterday, paid $85 for these nails that you agree are bad, so why would I come in the next day and spend $65 for your mistake to change my nail design". Also i asked for coffin and got square nails. Charged for that too smh. They agreed it didn't make sense. I said I'll offer a nice tip but I'm not paying for a MISTAKE y'all made, just take the designs off and I'll keep them plain. She takes off the design with a drill to the point where I basically need a fill. Then adds charges for me to finish them, ARE YOU KIDDING?! So now I'm being charged for designs and corrected coffin shape gel nails. $43 for corrected gel nail designs & shaping the MORNING after I just had them horribly designed and shaped the prior evening. So I have to either keep my nails like this or pay for ANOTHER FILL w/ designs. I did not get them filled the second time by the way i was just charged for one. THIS SALON ESCALATED this Entire situation to have me pay more money. I'm NEVER GOING BACK and I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND THEIR BAD CUSTOMER SERVICES. This Brooklyn/ Canarsie gem hands down is one the the best and cleanest nail salons I have visited. I wanted to stick with black owned nail salons but came across this hidden treasure. I not only invited my sister but friends and colleagues as well. I always get compliments for my nails thanks to Lilly and the other day I went to Vicky who also has a large client base. The staff are friendly and professional. They enjoy doing nails and it shows in there work. Not only are the nails bomb asf but my lashes are a killer too and Lulu who came recommended always does an amazing job. The water was cold at first, I asked him to make it hotter and he did . He was very thorough and I was pleased with his paint job. As far as my hands. I went to Tina because my hair dresser recommended her and all the reviews rave about her! I checked out her IG page and was impressed by her designs . I sat in her chair and just did not like her vibe . The way she pushed n pulled my arm and was kinda rough with my fingers. I was annoyed . We discussed the shape I wanted and she said ok and started to shape . When she was done I noticed my middle finger was a completely diff shape . The others were somewhat of a stiletto and the middle was more rounded. I brought it to her attn and she said " I kno I kno I'm not finished " So she continues to do whatever else and then goes back to reshape the ONE finger that was off . She sends me to the sink to wash my hands . & I didn't use the brush that u usually scrub the nails with because it was just sitting in a bowl with no antiseptic . Then the "hot towel" that I was supposed to use was not hot and very dirty! I must say that as far as being sanitary they lack in that dept. Anywhoooo it wasn't until a customer who seemingly comes to the salon often sat in the chair next to me and started talking to Tina that she opened up and started talking and also got a little gentler with how she handles my hands. I was pleased with how my nails turned out . I wish the service and atmosphere was a little more welcoming. I'm not sure if I would go back . Maybe if I really needed it and was in that area. I went her after work with my homegirl to get pedicures and I can assure you that i will not be returning. We sat apart from each other which is not too bad because it was a Payday Friday so you know the place was packed. The woman who did my pedicure was super militant, non sociable and just all around not my cup of tea. I must say the ambiance inside was soothing but my worker ruined my experience. After all The social media hype about this nail salon I decided to go and give it a try . I must admit , They do nails very nicely and they have some pretty unique designs however their prices and the way they charge is ridiculous. My first set of ombre nails were 60 dollars. I asked them for the breakdown of the price and they couldn't give me answer. Because i liked my nails, i ignored abd came back again. On my second trip, i saw a design posted on thier instagram page and asked how much. The nail tech told me 34 for filing and uv gel polish, plus an additional 21 for design. However she kept repeating 60 dollars...i trier my best to explain that that equals 55 but she kept disagreeing with me and there was no one there to help me out, so i opted for regular polish and just paid 18 bucks for the filiing. I was so bothered by this, i decided to come on the day i knew the manager was going to be there to see if i can get just the design done now that my nails were filled. Soon as i walked in, i showed the tech the design and she told me it would be $55 dollars without the filing? What?!? She said u can go ask the manager.....so, i went to tina and she told me she can do it for $46....smdh where are these people pulling prices from.. thier a$$? Like come on! This shop is located in a middle income area, where people work hard for thier money. This nail salon doesnt have set prices, and charge you what theu want, when they want...take it or leave it. I said ouch way to many times during my manicure. Not a large enough selection of regular polish because they really want you to pay for gel. You can feel them rushing to make more money on the next client. PEDICURE-My God. I didn't see the foot tub get disinfected after the previous person was done. All they do is put the water and dead skin from the last person and place a new bag over that filthy tub.
