Touch of Texas supports Virginia SO Alpine Ski Team Touch of Texas has a heart as big as the state it's named after. Recently the Area 23 Special Olympic Virginia Alpine Ski Team was treated to a night of entertainment at the club in Bunker Hill, West Virginia. The entertainment included an evening at the outdoor venue with front row seats watching semi professional wrestling. The athletes along with their head coach and assistant coaches totally enjoyed the action at ring side. After the wining wrestler had been decided, the wrestlers took the time to shake hands and get a few pictures with the athletes before saying farewell. The ski team was escorted indoors where just as much excitement was happening. Popular county music blasted around the room, disco lights flashed, the dance floor called, and the mechanical bull sat waiting, to give the team a thrilling ride. It was awesome our team whooped, hollered, kicked up their heals and had a blast. It was wonderful to watch our Special Athletes all intellectually disabled, laughing, dancing, singing just having a good old time hanging out in the community and being accepted. If you happen to find yourself in the area looking for a fun evening, this is the place to check out. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel at home, like you are one of the family. Touch of Texas, is a place where you can go to dance, play volleyball, listen to music, play a game of pool, even ride a mechanical bull, hang out with old friends or make some new ones. Touch of Texas used the wrestling event as a fund raiser. The establishment gave a percent of the profit, several hundred dollars to SO VA Area 23 Alpine Ski Team. I am a regular here! I come in Thursday- Saturday off and on. I have had nothing but very personable service and highly respectable interactions while on the property. They have a wide selection of out door activities like corn hole, volleyball, oversized beer pong and many more. Melanie is a great bar tender who is there regularly and is super helpful in pointing you for other things to do in the area! DID I MENTION they have bull riding! They also have outdoor fire pits that are always burning! All in all I would recommend! There are college and ladies nights specials as well. The bouncers are polite and professional and are super helpful in ensuring you have an awesome and safe night! If you come in the winter there are also a bunch of heaters too! Honestly this is the best bar in the tri-state area by far! Definitely recommend to everyone! I love that you can go in have a kick ass time and actually enjoy your self. The owner along with his employees are amazing at what they do. It's honestly what I call "my safe place" there's no fighting, or any of that chaotic non sense. People as old as 70-80 years old can go in and enjoy them self's even with the younger generation and not worry about rudeness or any of that sort of thing. Touch of Texas is awesome. Great welcoming atmosphere for anyone and everyone. There are so many things to do there like volleyball, Cornhole, and of course the bull rides! Great staff is always friendly and handles any problems quickly and professionally. The very extensive security system keeps everyone feeling safe and proves, without a doubt, what happened/happens. They have great theme nights and deals and a variety of music to please everyone. No cover before 9 and Thursday is 18 + for college night. Just an all around great fun place. read more

Sooo much fun!! The outdoor area is amazing!! Games and a separate bar!! There is a bull in the middle of the bar. It's so fun and hilarious to watch. A total good time to watch other people and ride!!! The music was great. Nice blend of country and dance. Thurs is college night and was half off liquor! Friday is ladies night! Woohoo! By far the best atmosphere of bars around! The management and staff genuinely care about us the and make sure we are having a good time. Each time I have gone the drinks have been amazing and the bull just makes for such an exciting change of pace from the standard bar scene downtown- especially since the slots have been added.
