Service was friendly but very very slow. We went in for brunch. They have a good drink menu and it's a pretty big place. We only saw our waitress twice. I had to ask others for refills.

My delicious 1 pound strip steak and baked potato with its $5 of fully loading.

Fridays is (are?) Steak Night(s) and Steak Nights are great nights! This location is just a block from the historic area, and there is plenty of parking nearby. Like I mentioned, Friday night is steak night. They wheel a cart to your table with large hunks of sirloin and strip steak. You get to tell them how big a hunk you want cut off, and they charge you $ 2 per ounce for the piece you select. However, there's a trick to picking your piece. If you want a reasonable portion, like 8 ounces, then the resulting cut is very thin and may be a bit dry when they cook it. I got about 1" of strip steak, about 1 pound, and it was cooked to perfection. However, that's a lot of meat. I suggest splitting a single steak between two people, so you get the benefit of thickness and avoid, at least to some extent, heart disease. Anyway, the resulting steak was seasoned perfectly and cooked to a perfect medium doneness. It was delicious and tastier than a steak I had a few days later from Capitol Grill, which cost about twice as much. The waitress told me the steak comes with two sides. I had a salad and a baked potato. She asked if I wanted the potato "fully loaded," with bacon and sour cream, and I said, "sure." However, she forgot to point out that "sure" cost me an extra $5. No complaints because it made the potato taste even better, and I just wish she had mentioned that when I ordered. Otherwise, it was a fun experience and a great dining value. The space was clean, the staff was friendly, and the WiFi was excellent. I'll come back here the next time I'm in town, even if it isn't steak night.

First time here. Stop by for lunch and Caroline was our waitress. She was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service. We sat in the bar area and it was open with TV's on every wall. Food was great with reasonable portions. We tried the fries pickles, Ruben sandwich, and the Irish nachos. The fried pickles were great, but could only eat just the pickles after a bit. The batter was good but I can't eat too much fried foods. The Ruben was great and the homemade chips were delicious. The nachos were excellent. Had lots of toppings. Great place and will try more items next visit.

We sent him links to three great Herndon eateries. He responded, "Oh, Jimmy's has the menu with the most to offer." Fast forward, we're at JOTT - I order my fav - the Buffalo Wrap...so good! Hubs orders his fav - the Philly Cheesesteak. Our friend, the world traveler ordered the noodle soup - which he devoured - and, the salmon salad. He clearly enjoyed his meal. A few days later, he's traveling again and reviewed a meal at a place in another town, in another country... "The salmon was just OK. The staff are THE coolest ever. Austin P was our server and he is a ROCKSTAR! Then there is the whole reason we came here, the food! We had Mozzarella Sticks and Spinach Artichoke Dip to start. TheMozz Sticks were HUGE! The dip was the cheesiest I've ever had. Next we had 2 different Cheesesteaks, a South Philly and a Jersey/Philly; the Buffalo Platter and a Beef on a Weck. Amazing! Exactly what we were craving! You nailed the Weck Bun and your horseradish is legit! OH and the Coleslaw, spot on! This is definitely a new spot for us!

It has a laid-back feel and an open door. The restaurant has two floors with self-seating, and we chose a table on the lower level. It was cool inside, though the doors were open to the outside, which added to the casual atmosphere. There only seemed to be one waitress handling all the tables, and while she worked hard and did a great job, the service was understandably slow and the tables were not cleaned very quickly once people left. One thing that stood out to me was how pet-friendly the place is--there was even a dog at a table on the porch. The menu offers classic American fare, like sandwiches and burgers. I had a BLT with fries, and both were very good. They were fresh, well-made, and satisfying. The prices were reasonable with most entrees being between $14 and $20 and my BLT was $12 . It's not fast service, but if you have a little time and want a relaxed, friendly environment, Almost Heaven is a nice choice for a meal in Harpers Ferry.
