I had to take a professional headshot as starting on a new job soon. After read review on yelp, I gave Touch Wedding a call and the owner Jessie was very nice and accommodating of my last minute request. Due to not good at makeup & hair, I booked the appointment with Jessie before the photo shoot. Jessie asked for my preference and my idea at the beginning and during the session, Jessie made me feel very comfortable and giving me tips on how to take care my hair and face. After the beauty session, I looked great and was ready for the shoot. Frank the photographer was very professional and friendly. He chit chat with me first to make me comfortable also as he explained to see which angle I look at the best and whether I look better smile or not smile in my photos. Frank was very patients and nice also gave me different side and poses to make sure we would have the best pictures come out. And Jessie was by the side to make sure my hair and my shirt looked perfect before each shot. During photo selections, I was amazed on how he was able to capture my essence and my professionalism thru the lens. And I was very impressed with all the photos he took. It was hard to pick the few best. There was no pressure at photo selecting and they just want me to be happy and chose the one I like. After shooting, Frank very timely and provided the touch up photos within days as discussed. I thought original photos were great enough but after the touch up, I look flawless but yet still looks like me. All my family and friends are impressed with the photos. I'm very happy with my experience and my photos. I really appreciate their professionalism and made me felt great. I wrote a draft review not long after we took our family portrait about 4 years ago at this studio but didn't end up publishing it because I don't live at home so not having to look at it made me forget about it. Lately I came back home for the summer and it bothers me whenever I look at the portrait unconsciously because there's just something wrong to it. I'm not standing properly, my brother's not fully smiling, and my dad doesn't like how his teeth are showing. A guest of ours even commented on how weirdly we're positioned in the photo. The owner said he would photoshop my dad's teeth to make it look better but he didn't end up doing any changes to it. We would've been fine since that's just how my dad's teeth are like, but don't promise to do something when you're not going to do it, especially when you're doing business with others. Not to mention, it took us a LONG time to come upon an agreement for that photo to be framed because we couldn't come upon one that we are all satisfied. We probably wouldn't have hung it if it wasn't for the expensive frame, which he kind of forced sell to us. I'll give the owner props for the fact that he's good at getting your attention when taking photos, but I guess he's just not good at capturing the moment. He and his wife are nice people, and he does have some decent knowledge about photography. However, I wouldn't recommend this place based on my experience, especially when there are many other professional studios to choose from in the area. read more

So I give this studio props for taking some family photos for us on such last-minute notice. We literally set an appointment with them an hour before walking in, so we might as well be walk-ins. The photographer did a great job with my family. Some of my family members are a bit fussy and self-conscious, but the photographer was such a sweet-talker and really eased them into taking a million photos. He also has good ideas for what poses people should stand in based on height, body type, and the color they're wearing, which I think is super important for a photographer to be aware of. But! Hair ties! Why did he not remind anyone to take off their hair ties off their wrists? Isn't that a basic thing to look out for from the photographer's point of view? We ended up paying for photoshop because the hair ties bothered everyone so much. However, this would have been completely preventable. My main complaint is the pricing of this place. Yes I know they're a wedding studio that caters to Asians who are pretty much okay paying anything. But the estimates I got when I first called to make an appointment were totally different from how much my photos actually cost... By hundreds of dollars mind you. Also, they're only willing to give you individual CDs with only ONE photo on each CD. So if you liked 20/40 of the photos he took and you wanted those photos to print at a later time, you need to buy 20 separate CDs, each one for $70+. That is ridiculous. Yes this place takes decent photos, but be careful with the prices they tell you! The only reason I dealt with being ripped off was because my family rarely gets together, and those photos meant so much to us. read more

I went to this photography studio to get a business portrait taken. I found that Frank, the photographer, and Jessie, the makeup/hair artist, were very attentive to detail for this photo shoot. They are very accommodating to your photo shoot needs, and do not pressure you to pick a photo. My photo included retouch up and cropping, which turned out really great as well. Frank mentioned that he has over 20 years of experience doing these photo shoots and I completely believe him based off of the photo I got. I came here to simply take a passport photo! The whole process was quick and Frank is great to talk to. He is social and makes me feel as comfortable as I can be. From entering and leaving the studio, the process took about 30 minutes. This included the photo itself, touch ups, and printing. ($45 w/ 6 photos+digital copy- $50 with tax!) I needed to get a passport photo taken, desperately quick. I yelped and found a place in Rowland, but behold, it was closed (CNY, I'm guessing). I should've realized something was fishy when they didn't pick up the phone. Anyway. I pulled up yelp & frantically yelped "passport photo" near me and came to this page. I called, and the gentleman picked up. I told him I needed "a passport photo ASAP, can I come now?" He told me yes and I sighed a sigh of relief. I zipped it to there (was only 1 mi away). The location is in front of the other huge plaza in Rowland. i.e. it's directly RIGHT to the cafe bene FACING Colima. As soon as I entered, I told him, again, "I need passport photo ASAP, how quick can you get it done?" No one was ahead of me, so he said now. He asked "Do you want to brush your hair?" and I was like no, that's ok, but he handed me one anyway. So nice. so literally 3 min later, I'm sitting on a stool, and he snaps 4-5 few photos. Chin down, face to right. And wa-la! He goes to print, and even does touch up for me on the house. SUPER friendly, quick, and good-natured. He talked to me about this & that & was very sociable and kind. 4 photos = 20$. I only needed 2 so he cut it in half for me. I think I was in & out in ~10 minutes with 2 very nice passport photos. BTW: On his desk, he had like ~20-30 other passport photos taken, so he's a veteran. Says he's been doing it for 20 years. I'm a paranoid person about my passport, so crossing fingers it goes through. dont worry, i didnt get married yet! my family came here to get our portrait done since our grandma was turning the big 9-0! not too many people turn 90 now a days so we wanted to make it special for her so our group had about 40 people give or take with a bunch of kids too! my first impression of the studio was that it was very small. the photographer was nice and was pretty specific on how he wanted the photo done. he made sure everyone was seen and even provided telephone books for us to stand on if we were too short.. haha kinda ghetto huh? what i appreciated was that he was really patient with our family and tried to get the kids to smile and look at him by using stuffed animals and what not. also we were able to view the photos right away after we were done i think this is a good place to get photos done but im not sure if they speak english. they were mostly speaking chinese which i dont understand read more

I signed up for the wedding album during Asian American Expo in January but did not get a chance to take the pictures until the end of May! Frank (photographer) and his wife, Jesse (stylist & cosmetologist) were wonderful. They are very honest and professional, in terms of delivering what they have promised. My friends thought that I was insane to pay everything in full upfront after having just a brief conversation with Frank at the expo. Frank the Photographer and Jesse the makeup/hair artist are one the most wonderful professionals I have ever met! We recently had our wedding engagement photos taken. Not only was I given many choices of beautiful wedding gowns and dresses to choose from, Jesse was able to fix my hair and make up just the way I want it, and according to the outfits/theme my future husband and I were wearing! It was such a fun day and they really took care of us. We could also tell how skilled and experienced Frank is - he was able to do ALL the types shots I wanted... Even without help!!
