They are cognizant of how hot it can get in summer and give us extra breaks for water when we need it, and sometimes they even have little water fans to keep us cool. I wouldn't bother signing up as a free agent without knowing members of the team/the captain pretty well. Some of the captains they rely on are as rude, dishonest, and incompetent as the league officials. The league will tell you they can move you to a new team if you don't get along or are mistreated by the team you're assigned to, then they will wait too long or end up not bothering/lie and tell you it's too late as apparently this league is too serious. Even if there are games remaining in the regular season. If you like having rainout games not being made up and credits not being offered as stated in the terms and conditions then go ahead and sign up. If you like being told specific rules have been disregarded because of apparent captain votes the league didn't announce go ahead. If you want to be assigned to a field you didn't sign up for with no explanation or apology, then be scheduled to play starting as late as 10pm go ahead. This is a ripoff and inconsiderate. I have been polite and am being treated like crap. Don't bother discussing refunds in any circumstances. They probably wouldn't give one even if they cancelled the season. If the league disbanded they would probably try to give you leftover shirts as a comp instead of your money back. There should be rules about playing time. Everyone in good standing on a team should be playing a minimum number of innings in every game especially since the fields are a 45-60 minute drive from downtown Atlanta. Want to pay $200 to join and buy uniforms etc and not be guaranteed any playing time? Then this is your league. The coaches have complete control over rosters - who plays and when. Most are in it for fun but some focus only on winning and getting to the Softball World Series. Also, odd to me that some of these teams pad their rosters with lots of heterosexual players who take spots from LGBT players. I'm fine with heterosexuals but why? I thought HSL was started to create a safe place for LGBT players where fun and friends were the primary goals. Lots of other hetro softball leagues out there. All that being said, there are lots of people who are playing and having fun. Just pick the right team and coach and know what you are getting into and hopefully join with a friend. PS - Don't shell out a bunch of money for uniforms until you are sure you are staying on the team.

The food and drinks were what you would expect form a bar but was hot and tasty. Their beer selection is quite good as well. The sports venue was hopping with adult soccer league matches and lacrosse clubs were holding practice. Be cautious of having to pay to get into the park, not sure of the cost since our event was prepaid. I would definitely be back to watch a Silver Backs match.

They had the stadium area that lead to the soccer field and plenty of bleachers which i probably wanna come back here to workout.They have a concession stand that was pretty good they had fries, burgers and a few other things but the best was that they sold alcohol beer and regular alcohol.
