Cute neighborhood bakery! I walked in and was hit was the fragrance of freshly baked bread and pastries. Ben was kind enough to walk me through each and every dessert. At one point I had to ask him to stop because I was having a hard time choosing which to take home. The lemon meringue croissant was perfect each flavor was light and just enough lemon. The brioche morning bun was so fresh it was still slightly warm when I bit into it. I would advise anyone to try them it would surely be more than one visit. I'm eager to go soon and try the fresh baked bread along with more sweet treats. read more

Stopped by this quaint bakery with Parisian vibes while on my way to work. Grabbed a pomegranate blackberry lemonade and an almond crossaint and lemon tart. OMG! The almond crossaint melted in your mouth. Loved it and the lemonade was very refreshing not tart at all. Found me a new spot! read more

Love the pastries. We received a gift box of artisan sourdough and lovely French pastries from our neighbor, a Housewarming gift. All of the items were delicious, an almond claw, raspberry filled croissant, perfect blueberry scone. We ate off of it the whole weekend. I love Tournesol. I came into this cute cafe a few weeks ago and have been hooked ever since. On that occasion, I ordered the eggplant sandwich. It was flavorful, fresh, and served piping hot. I paired it with an iced tea, but plan to endulge in one of tehir beautiful fresh baked breads on my next visit. I love that they have challah bread. As a NYC transplant, I miss some of the ethnic varieties of food and dietary offerings I had in a bigger city. I believe the restaurant is Kosher which also helps me bring my halal friends and family here for treats when they visit. read more

My only regret is that I just learned about this place. My wife and I went to a king-cake tasting recently and both his French-style galette king cake and the one stuffed with guava and cream cheese were 6-star delicious! This place is fantastic! I had an iced mocha, pain au chocolat, and a chicken salad sandwich. The bread on the sandwich was so good, and the pain au chocolat was delicious, as was the mocha. The service was quick. The place itself is small but cute. Don't be turned off by the worn down benches - this food is worth buying! read more

The croissant is EXCELLENT! It's very flaky, buttery and yet very light. The beef meat pie, cheddars scallion, lemon curd croissant with Swiss meringue, and almond croissant are also delicious! This is a must try if you are visiting. The brownie and lemon tart are the BEST desserts by far. The brownie is chocolatey, filled with chocolate chips, and crunchy on the top; very pleasing to the palate. Delicious! Driving 43 miles to get these tasty treats was well worth the drive! Try the bar-b-que beef brisket, you won't be disappointed. The arugula salad that came along with it is also very interesting. I could kick Myself for not finding this place earlier. We moved here about 6 months ago, live less than a mile from here, hubby just found. Everything is so good, lemon Croissant, raspberry croissant, sandwiches, everything we have had has been delicious. I have spoken to owner a few times already, very kind. Their bread is sooo good, but the pastry and croissants make it hard to decide what to get. Their baker is really talented. My favorite bread is the pain de campagne, and my wife loves the challah. They have a person at the counter who is helpful, and there's usually a line of one or two people waiting to be served. The ambience is ok, but who cares. This shop is the definition of a hole in the wall, but has the best pastries in Covington! Everything is fresh. New baked goods come out every few minutes. You can even smell the fresh baked bread from outside the store! The croissants and orange muffins are my personal favorite. Despite it's unassuming exterior, there is a fair amount of seating. Best place to get croissants in Covington! Great lunch specials, with tasty sandwiches/salads/soup/coffee. I love their chocolate croissants and orange cranberry muffins. He also supplies some other local restaurants with his wonderful breads! Love his multigrain bread, challah bread and olive bread and they will even slice it for you. We have also used them for our thanksgiving dinner supplies last year and this year, he seriously makes the best dinner rolls! We also ordered pies for thanksgiving that were good too! It's eggs over easy (but we order over medium) on a croissant with cheddar cheese and a homemade sausage patty. Talk about good! The croissants are light and flaky. Their scones melt in your mouth. I just recently discovered Tournesol and I have been for breakfast almost everyday this week. The place has a nice, cozy feel, and everyone is really friendly. My favorite thing so far are the orange cranberry muffins! They're absolutely amazing! And the guava and cream cheese hand pies-*chef's kiss*. I have yet to try the desserts, but just by looking at them I can tell that they'll be just as phenomenal. It's definitely my new favorite breakfast spot in Covington. read more
