I gone to the library to use the restroom due to the stores in the shopping center being locked up…read more Going inside Springstowne Library I thought it was the only library in Vallejo bu there is another one located a block away from Georgia Street. Why am I giving Springstowne a five star rating? The lirbarians were kind of me for answering my questions plus they were nice to give me two free COVID-19 Test to take home with me. I don't have a library card with them but they were nice to me for answering my questions. I will say that this library is small but at least they have computers to use. Parking can be rough to find since you have to find street parking near the library or just walk from the shopping center.

What to say, this place has everything! Besides the usual books, videos, etc., they have useful…read moreitems to borrow,,,,,,everything from weed eaters to binoculers, and State Park passes, check it out. The art gallery, comfy seating (my husband usually falls asleep while waiting for me), interesting public speakers, and a bookstore to buy the CHEAPEST books ever. Finally, the staff goes above and beyond to help you with whatever .This place is AWESOME!!!!

Given its humble, controversial roots going back 30+ years ("Why do we need a library, anyway?!!"…read more It costs my tax dollars!!") this marvelous resource for a smallish town has developed organically and creatively into one of the finest culture, fun and artistic resources a town like ours would want. Over the years, they've never been shy about trying out new policies, events, concerts, outdoor equipment/travel loans, guest speakers and internet webinars.... At 75, I'm running out of breath. But it's crystal clear that they've developed a staff and volunteer team that has fine morale and structure, creative ideas, pleasant and supportive customer service, prompt assistance whenever able, and a truly welcoming atmosphere for the broad, diversified population that it serves -- from toddlers to we senior humans: great job Benicia Public Library! Thank goodness for another close county library in American Canyon. Even though its quite small its cozy and very clean. The staff is super nice and helpful...I forgot that I liked this place and Im glad I made the extra 10 min drive over. Ciao for now

My first visit was last week. It was a wonderful experience. There is a young man who works there…read more I didn't get his name, but I believe he wears his hair pulled back in a ponytail. This young man is so polite so helpful and it made my visit a great success. Fast-forward two days ago, I returned. I had very important documents that needed to be uploaded and very time sensitive. On this day, the employee that was working was deep into a conversation with her coworker. She acted bothered by me asking a question. I am old. I am 55 years old. I am not from today's generation. I am not computer savvy and I need help. Actually I needed a lot of help because I needed to know how to work the printer, attach photos etc. She proceeded to give me two-three word instructions and acted upset because she had to get back to her conversation. I am 55 years old. I am not savvy when it comes to computers. I also understand this is not a computer class. There were three clerks on duty at the time. I don't know. I just feel that if the roles were reverse, I would want to help somebody and feel great that I was able to do so. I felt embarrassed by this. My documents are not yet finished It's a beautiful atmosphere i. I just wish she would have made me feel comfortable

The Crockett Library is celebrating its 100 birthday this year. It has been in this former Bank of…read morePinole building for many years. This very small library seems warm and comfortable to me. It reminds me of the small library in Oakland that I went I was young enough to participate in summer reading programs and give book reports to Miss Alice. There are two computers, some chairs, and tables. And of course books. A sign on the window says they have story reading for tots. I like to check out with a librarian, and not be pushed in to using the self-checkout, not for any reason other than I enjoy the interaction. Both times I've been here the librarians have been friendly. I am sure that the kids think they are great and will remember them years from now, just like I remember Miss Alice. Why is a 5 star library when it is so small? It's is warm and inviting. It takes me back in time when a trip to the library was a big deal.

Brought my toddler to the Saturday storytime and it was a very popular event. There were many families in attendance and Miss Katie was very engaging and fun with songs, dances, and storytelling with the littles. We perused the library and there was a rocket ship playroom and troves of books for kids. There are also a few outdoor areas for eating, reading, breaks. No food or drinks are allowed inside. Will definitely return for the toddler friendly events. Also, get a library card and get access to the Discover and Go free museum opportunities. You can also borrow ebooks and audiobooks via the Libby app.

The other libraries that participate in story time do not lock the doors. Walked around the library and it was exactly what I remembered it being from when I used to go as a child. The only thing that's changed is that there are A LOT of homeless in the front and back of the library which is unfortunate. I don't think I'll be back to this library with so many others to choose from that don't have homeless hanging around outside. The back of the library near the water is still nice

Ten years ago when I was a wee lass, I visited Touro…read moreUniversity when I was in the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF) on Medicine and now it comes to a full circle! After doing my research as a diligent pre-med, Touro has an osteopathic medical school with other graduate programs as well. Interested in their school, my friend and I scheduled a shadowing opportunity with their outreach admin/faculty. One of the shadowing opportunities they offer is for the OMM Lab (osteopathic manipulative medicine) where one can sit in their medical school class alongside their real medical students and learn! I shadowed one of their cranial OMM labs, and it was fascinating especially since I was into neurobio/psych. Their professor was very thorough in explaining the various ways on how to locate cranial anatomy and how to connect with the patient. Each student rotated and had a chance to practice OMM and experience it as well. From the time of initial contact to the end of my shadowing, Touro faculty and students were very accommodating and positively receptive. Big shoutouts to my medical student mentors, Jessie and Yvonne, who showed me the ropes and Jessie even performed OMM on me! Great time with wonderful people!

I never sent transcripts, thought I was not enrolled after speaking to admissions on phone telling them, I am not going to enroll. This was a very pricey misunderstanding and lack of Communication especially regarding how to unenroll. Nightmare.
