The Cordelia library has been a great place to visit for the last 20 years plus! It's been a place of Calm. It's clean it's quiet. It has lots of great books to choose from. I am glad that we have a library like this. I hope that the facility and services will be maintained if not improved for future generations to enjoy. My daughter loves to come here and borrow books or just sit down and study. It is easy to sign up for a library card so i suggest you do that since it is free! I like their website since it gives you convenience like knowing if what you need is available or if you want to reserve or put a hold on it. Had a last minute issue with my printer at home and needed to print some documents.. Called this library and it saved me a lot of stress and time.. Walked in here and got an ID for future needs as well.. The lady who helped in getting an ID, instructions on how to print, everything, she was so helpful , big thumbs up to her (Dec 3, 2025 - around 2pm), shes got black hair, petite and pretty, she was at the first seat when you walk in at the front desk).. Library is so clean, quiet and comfortable.. I wish I could have walked in here years ago.. Will definitely come back to read books or just relax .. read more

Lovely interior, computer access, children's section, quiet study rooms. There are few other places that offer such great service. Staff are friendly n helpful. WiFi is spotty & sometimes not available at all for long periods of time. Months may go by without access & I've had to write mayor & board members repeatedly to get it turned back on. I'm a big fan of public libraries. I think they are a great community resource and I've enjoyed coming to this spot. They have a great little play room for kids that has computers, blocks, a kitchen, puppets, and a host of other items that kids can use their imaginations with. The children's section also have a good variety of books for kids to choose from. For adults I haven't gotten to roam a ton, but the selection seems good. The staff has been nice there's a little lake you can walk around out back. They also put on some good programs, from crafts to workshops, there's something for everyone. I will say there have been a few times when the internet is down or the air conditioning isn't working, etc. Outside of that, I do enjoy this local library. read more

This place was great. We were from out of town with our son. There is a separate room (with a door) for him to play in. So the kids can make as much room as they want without disrupting any other part of the library. It looks like they do have music classes for the kids. All the staff was very friendly! read more

Fairfield Cordelia Library is a very good library. It has a convenient location across the street from the Safeway shopping outlet and right by I-80. It's clean all around, including the restrooms. It's quiet, not something you find in every library these days. The computer area isn't too crowded when I've been there, so there's always a computer where you don't have to sit right next to someone (good during the pandemic). They have study rooms you can reserve ahead of time on the same day. It's a pretty view in each of the study rooms, where you can see a pond outside the large window. They have a white board available for use and outlets to recharge in the study rooms. Only downside recently is that there's a sign on the ground by the library that says they're open on Sundays, but they're not. Maybe they should update that sign, but I guess it may be temporary due to the pandemic. read more

I love this library! It is so clean and quiet! It is also so close to my school. I can use this as a sanctuary if I want to get away from the noisiness from my school. There is also a shopping center in front. So, if you are ever hungry after studying for hours, there are a few restaurants of many kinds to get some food. I love the private study rooms. There are actually windows, and there is a beautiful landscape! I can't complain! The library is a little tiny, but if you need anything that this library doesn't have (and you can't go to the main Fairfield library), you can always get an item on hold and have it shipped here. It is spacious, wide array of books, dvd and toys for kids. I like that if you register you also get access to it's sister libraries such as St. Helena. And if they don't have the book you are looking for, you can check on line and have it sent from other neighboring library. You also get access to a lot of good stuff online. I must say that I'm impressed after my first visit to this library. At first I was a bit skeptical, since I wasn't sure if they had any quiet places to study, but this library is relatively quiet overall. If you want to minimize your disturbances, you can always call in advance to reserve a study room. You can do so the same day you want to come in and study, which is what I did. Anyway, the library is in a newer building right next to a wonderful man-made lake and conveniently located next to Costco, other shops, and the freeway entrance. Getting there can sometimes be hectic, but the place itself is not hard to find at all. Parking shouldn't be horrible either. The interior is very nice, cozy, neat, and it's QUIET!!! I studied for a few hours straight and it was nice to look at the lake outside of the window when I needed to give my brain a break. There is a bike/walking trail right next to the lake, so sometimes you may here people, on their bikes or leisurely walking, talking and laughing amongst themselves. Also, you will hear your occasional child running around or people talking from time to time as well, but it wasn't a huge distraction for me. So far I'm very happy with this library location, especially since they are open on Sundays! read more

This is one of the better libraries in the area. It's new and nicely situated near neighborhood, shopping, and freeway. It is a large library with plenty of seating, research and quiet study desks, and a large children's section. Although it gets a little loud after school, it's usually quiet at other times. They have a great selection of books, magazines, books on CD, graphic novels, etc. They also have a very efficient holds system. They have lots of community events and activities and story hours for kids. A local gem! read more

Heard about this Library from my cousins in the area LOL I came in to check it out the other day and they don't have a huge inventory of dvds :( They don't have a single Tagalog dvd either LOL boo. I like the Dublin Library better. Good thing you're allowed to place holds. Next time I'll just make sure to reserve books and movies to be sent there. What's not to like about the library? I've asked myself this question time and time again and I've always failed to come up with an acceptable or at least a convincing answer. I'm finally admitting that I'm a geek. My inner nerdy kid could no longer hide from within. That's what happens when I'm at the library which probably explains why I haven't been to one in eons. I figured it's time again. Being surrounded by books with the smell of paperback lingering in the air along with all the power and wealth of information it's truly undeniable. Okay, okay, enough talk about my excitement! Anyhow my daughters love this library and I finally had the chance to see why. For a neighborhood library this place featured and utilized today's technology. When you walk in, there's a workstation where you can browse their website and also apply for a library card. After I filled out all of the required fields a few minutes later it was ready. I picked up my set of two, one credit card sized and the other a key ring sized, hard plastic library cards at the Customer Service Desk. Granted you have a photo ID with proof of current address then you're set. While at the counter I was also given a few pamphlets which explained some important information about the borrowing policy, other library locations, hours and phone numbers. The lady at the CSD went into more detailed specific areas I should know like late fees, drop-offs, renewal of materials online, email notification, etc... I was really impressed by her service delivery! In addition to the abundance of books, this library had an Information Desk with a live person, multiple strategically placed workstation kiosks for reference, a nice Children's Library, three Study Rooms, Music/Movies/CDs section, Computer Center, free Wi-Fi, online database subscriptions courtesy of the SNAP (Solano, Napa and Partners) Library Consortium and more. I loved this library experience. Instead of scanning the usual lettuce and tomatoes at the Express Check-Out we scanned books for free. You can borrow up to a maximum of fifty items mix and match. You also have the option to return books at other partner library locations. The return bins outside are open 24/7. This isn't my favorite library but it's still very good. There's plenty of parking and bike racks if you need it. The library itself isn't too big. You could walk around the whole library in about 2-3 minutes. The staff is very friendly and will answer any questions you have. This library has all the standard library sections such as young adult, children, computer lab, etc. There is also a quiet study section in the back with lots of windows. If it's a bright sunny day, you will get a great view of the nice pond which can feel refreshing after long hours of studying. However, there are no doors and it's connected to the general area so if someone is noisy, you can hear it. The dvd and music cd selection is great. There are mostly semi-recent stuff so you might have to wait awhile to get some of the new stuff to come in. There are also baskets next to this section so you can rent a whole bunch of stuff at one time. I rented as much as 20 dvds and cds with no questions asked! I have not had one problem playing the discs at home and most of them are scratch-free to very minimal scratches. One complaint I do have with this library is the odd hours as they aren't consistent and pretty random. Before going, I would double check they hours. Other than that, this a great local library. It's next to the business center so there's plenty of food options nearby. Come here if you wanna study or check out some dvds and cds. read more

Yes, I am reviewing a library. You know you're a med student when... Anyway, I'm actually a fan of this library. It's pretty close to where I live. While I've sat in more comfortable study chairs, I do appreciate the sunny study room that faces a man-made lake/pond near the golf course. It's clean, no shady people who spent the night, and I feel safe leaving my stuff out while I go to the bathroom or even... on occasion.. to take a break and walk across the street to starbucks for another fix. Finally (and this is a positive and a negative) the internet is great, but it cuts you off every two hours so you have to sign back in again. Not a huge deal but a little annoying when listening to pandora and sitting in the same chair for 8 hours studying... read more

I like the location because it's so convenient to where I work. Clean and very quiet. Since it's part of the Napa-Solano System, I can place a hold online and get a notification when it's ready for pick-up. Unfortunately I'm not sure how organized they are. A couple of times, I've returned a borrowed item only to receive a notification that it's late. I then have to go through the process of reporting it to the main branch; only to find that the library forgot to scan it in. Hmmmmm. Major dings for the inconvenience of having to go through all that. It has been awhile since that's happened so I added back a star. read more

Love this place! This library is generally new, built a few years back. It is nestled by an elementary school, restaurant and small businesses within the building complex. When you go in, there are several areas to go to do work. You have the option for private rooms where you can zone out the noise and spread out your work. Or there is a room far back that has little cubby areas with dividers so you have a small area to yourself. Bathrooms are in the middle and relatively clean. They also do certain events here and there like Paws for Reading or Storytime for kids and so forth. Also the library is by a fountain so you can go outside and relax and read. I love come to this library compared to the Fairfield Civic center one that often smells like urine and has a constant flow of homeless people. I love my books and I come here so often that I am a "regular." They don't even have to ask for my ID because I come in so often. They just wave hello! awesome read more

Even though the Fairfield Civic Center Library is closer to where I live, I would 100% without a doubt rather travel a few more miles to the Fairfield Cordelia Library! This library is the newest branch of the Solano County Library System (it opened in 2006). It's super clean, well maintained, and the staff is friendly. The parking can be a little bit of a pain because of the elementary school next door (especially when they are getting out of school) but it obviously doesnt deter me from going back time and time again! read more

I go to this library all the time to study, so i'm reviewing it as a student. (if you can't see that i'm regular). It's great because it's near Solano College, near stores, and it's very quiet overall. When i was going to school at Solano i'd prefer Cordelia library over their library because the lighting is better, and the little kids around don't make the place seem depressing. Plus you get the added benefit of electricity and a nice view depending on where you sit. Being near stores is nice because you can get a snack, have your break, and then come back to study again, (because you can't wait to study right?) Yes the elementary school is right there, so if that bothers you when you're trying to work, then i suggest you go somewhere else. Otherwise, having the kids walking around and occasionally making noise, i find, is a benefit, since you get the feeling there's a world outside, and time's passing. (Look it's 3 o' clock why's there so many kids walking around?!). It also makes the place seem more lively, and again less depressing than SCC's library! Cordelia library also hosts events on occasion, so you might hear video game noise to kids screaming for something. That's something to take note of. The people working the desks are always nice and helpful. I remember asking probably the same lady: "What's my pin?" over and over again, and she didn't seem frustrated. So thanks. A big con is the wifi. The wifi here is limited to such a small amount of people connected, ( 10-12 or something) so if you get there late, and you need wifi, good luck. One last thing is that getting a book is pretty difficult when most of them are on the reserves. I'm talking about something popular like a Harry Potter or something. But you're getting non-fiction you'll find what you need here. read more

Very clean and quiet. beautiful location, very secluded. There are parking issues as the elementary school next door always seems to have its parents lined up outside. I'm a frequent user of the Fairfield Cordelia Library and I'm always pleased with the staff and the availability of the items such as books, dvds, cds and talking books. Putting all of the latest movie dvds on hold, at no cost, until availability is a plus and my list of movie dvds are more than I can watch in a year. read more
