Really great, local café that I will absolutely be adding to my regular coffee shop + bakery…read morerotation. Plentiful parking out front. Good amount of seating inside (mostly 2-seaters; one larger table reserved for bigger groups). Helpful and friendly staff who were amazing with my little one. You have to try a slice of the basque cheesecake. The plain slice (with no whipped cream or fruit topping) is not overly sweet and the perfect amount of "burnt" & creamy. We also tried the madeleines, which - as the café's name suggests - were on point. And the garlic bagel is a garlic + cream cheese lover's dream. The iced dalgona latte was such a treat. Sweet with a creamy foam and topped with crunchy cookies - very well balanced and delightful to drink. The prices reflect the care and high quality of the products. Come support this amazing local spot and enjoy their unique, thoughtful offerings!

She got their garlic bagel--the only type of bagel they offer - and it was generously stuffed with delicious, aromatic garlic. She enjoyed it! The café is decorated charmingly, with little Madeleine cookie designs stamped throughout the space. They have a small section with some gift items for sale. They also sell Madeleine cookies, of course, though we didn't get any. The service was given with genuine smiles. The prices were normal - not a deal but not over-the-top. We enjoyed our breakfast and will happily come back!

One thing I always struggle with in Nashville is that they tend to run out of donuts and drinks pretty early in the day. Even by late afternoon, there are very few options left. That wasn't the case here. When I visited, they still had a great selection of donuts available, which made the experience much more enjoyable. I finally got the chance to try their lattes, and they did not disappoint. The Banana Bread Latte was one of the best specialty lattes I've had--rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The Café con Leche was equally impressive and absolutely delicious. The donuts were just as fresh and delicious as always, and having plenty of options to choose from made the visit even better. Overall, this location exceeded my expectations. I only wish the Nashville stores would stock more throughout the day so customers can enjoy the same experience. If you're near Ballantyne, this location is definitely worth a visit!

We get to the car and try to sneak one with a quick pop in our mouths and OMG. Stale stale stale. They were so bad - all of us stopped mid-chew and scrambled for napkins because we couldn't even force them down. It made us very scared for the remaining items, but they were fine - just proceed with caution. Not all glazed sparkling things are delicious. We may try again, but it will take some time before I can convince my family to give it a go. Nothing worse than a stale donut that looks beautiful. *** Sadly the suggested email address doesn't respond *** it's ok, at least folks know to proceed with caution.

Not only was the coffee shop full of life and character - the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They walked us through the menu and over all were just full of energy. We got two different kinds of matcha. The Afterglow and the Cumulus. The Afterglow was matcha, strawberry & rice crispies syrup, milk of choice, cold foam, with strawberry dusting. This tasted like a strawberry short cake! It was delicious!! The Cumulus was matcha, toasted coconut, milk of choice, sugar, blue spirulina, floated with a cloud of cream, agave & sea salt. Think more of an early and sweet vibe. Both drinks were crafted to perfection and looked stunning. They had sweetness to them but were not overly sweet. I would highly recommend both of these. I am excited to try the coffee next time we come! The shop was clean, modern, trendy, and groovy. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside and really enjoyed the ambiance. Cheers to Fly Kid Fly! They are doing and excellent job!!

It was our first time visiting Charlotte, and after seeing that the shop was open until 11:00 p.m., we figured it would be the perfect way to end the evening. We arrived just a few minutes before closing, but since we only planned to order a couple of scoops of gelato, we expected to be in and out quickly. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the moment we walked in. Rather than greeting us or welcoming us, the employee immediately said, "Hey guys, by the way, we close in two minutes." There was no hello or friendly interaction. As we ordered, one member of our party asked to sample a couple of flavors, and the employee seemed visibly inconvenienced. When I asked if they had caramel drizzle, her response was simply, "No," with no warmth or attempt to offer an alternative. I completely understand that arriving close to closing can be frustrating for employees, and we were mindful of the time. However, the doors were still open, the posted business hours indicated the shop was open until 11:00 p.m., and we were respectful customers who knew what we wanted and intended to order quickly. What was most disappointing wasn't that they were closing soon--it was how unwelcome we were made to feel. As first-time visitors to Charlotte and Ballantyne, this wasn't the hospitality we expected. Customer service matters just as much during the last few minutes of business as it does throughout the rest of the day. I hope this feedback is taken as an opportunity to remind staff that every customer deserves to feel welcomed, regardless of when they walk through the door during posted business hours.
