The one at this location is even more amazing!!! A bit sweet and savory. I also got the pretzel that had some sort of custard inside and it was pretty good too. Coupled that with a matcha and I had a pretty great Sunday. I wish the flavor of the matcha was bolder though. My husband had the Ube and we both thought it was better than the matcha. Ambiance is cute and roomy. The staff is pretty nice but are sort of busy because this location gets swamped. There is a free parking deck connected to the building. I came to Tous Les Jours to order a birthday cake for a child and left shocked by the unfair and discriminatory treatment I received. The employee was dismissive, openly biased, and 100% arrogant. I was ignored and treated with a complete lack of respect, courtesy, and basic human decency. When I asked to speak with a manager, this employee stated they were working UNSUPERVISED with no manager on duty -- just two employees who looked like high schoolers (or acted as such) and clearly lacked training in customer service. I have worked in the food industry myself, and I would have been fired on the spot for treating a customer with such insolence. What made it worse was that this employee showed impertinence to the highest degree in front of children. This wasn't a trivial request for myself -- it was for a child's birthday cake. Yet no consideration or empathy was shown at all. I will not be returning unless this employee receives the training they clearly lack. Some type of disrespect must be happening inside management for them to allow this kind of behavior from such a classless person. If these actions are allowed to continue, this store cannot progress with employees like this. I hope this issue is resolved. If questioned for this review I highly suggest looking at your security footage to see how your employee literally turned their back on me in the middle of a conversation. Uh oh - I sense a theme starting. We love the baked goods ... and have been semi-regular, but the "kids" that work there are downright rude. (And slow). The question of what milks they have is met by a rude pointing to the post-it on the register. (So sorry to ask - I'll be sure to read all notes before approaching going forward). Little miss barista is RUDE. Waited for a drink to be met with a passive aggressive "can I help you" - when we asked if our drink was on counter (we'd waited 10+ minutes and had eaten our food before drink was ready). And she said, "I'll let you know when it's ready" (ewwww). They genuinely act like you're hindering their down-time. (So sorry). The mango smoothie was absolutely disgusting. It had a weird after taste and had a very weird chemically taste to it. I was definitely not a fan and would not recommend getting a smoothie from here. The place was packed on Valentine's Day. No chairs available so we had to sit on the stairs, while a huge empty upstairs was closed off. People around us couldn't find space (plus a line out the door) so they moved the closed sign for upstairs and went up themselves. The food is good and it's open late, which is nice. Very disappointing experience overall. When we first came in, there was no greeting and the employee was unwelcoming. The drink tasted extremely off, almost rotten and I've had this drink here before, so I know this wasn't normal. When we returned to request a refund, the doors had been locked early (7:42 PM even though closing time is 8:00 PM). Although we eventually did receive a refund, the employee was on her phone the entire time with AirPods in. What made it worse was that instead of addressing me (the person who requested the refund) she looked at my sister and asked if she spoke Spanish, then continued the conversation with her. The whole interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. Management really needs to address customer service standards at this location. read more

I stopped in to try this fairly new addition to their pastry line-up...Green Tea Sesame Loaf Bread. Actually, I just grabbed 1 pack (about 9 slices?) to go. Only about 7 bucks! I thought these were the same as the Green Tea loaves that are sold in a pair of 2's, but nope. These are just plain loaves, with no cream. A bit disappointing because I couldn't really trace the taste of Green Tea...but as with all of TLJ breads, these were Oh-So-Soft, light and fairly healthy (considering!). Anyway, these tasted really good with whipped cream. What I love about many (if not all?) of their pastries are that the calories are listed. Surprisingly, many are not as caloric as you might think...thanks to these pastries being so light and fluffy! Also, most of the items are so cheap!! I was the only customer there and I walked up to the macaroon case, and there was an employee behind the counter on his phone, the sign said to order at the register, so I walked over to the register, he walked slowly over to the register texting on his phone. As I stood there looking at him while he finished his text, he literally looked up at me and just stared at me. We stood there for a pause, and I said "I'd like to get some macaroons" he turned and walked behind the counter, put gloves on and again just stared at me. The girls at the counter are not very attentive nor welcoming. I've had several instances where they were not listening to a cake or coffee order I had. They seem to be preoccupied with talking to each other rather than taking care of the customer. And this last instance, I waited about 15-20 minutes for a latte (and no one else was in line). Someone finally came up to ask me what I was waiting on and I told them my coffee order. Then they followed by asking me what it was (with an attitude). Like I said, I love this spot and want to support it. But the service is getting worse and worse each and every time I approach that register. PLEASE do better! read more

This was my first time visiting a Tous Les Jours -- you grab a tray and serve yourself from the pastry cases and cake displays and then go to the register to pay and have everything boxed up. I've been to one of their locations before. This location was the first one and it's a bigger space. I absolutely love how charming relaxed and sophisticated it feels in here. I feel that because it's a more open concept it's also easier to find seats. I had the vanilla latte which was good and I've also got a few other items which I will come back and add under "tips" for ordering if they are an absolute must try. The one I will put you on to is the egg sandwich which was right by the line and premade. It's absolutely delicious. Besides the egg there are all these other sauces and arugula and I have to tell you if you like breakfast sandwiched and egg and spice THIS IS FOR YOU. I LOVED it. Eek! I've never been to a free standing one of these! This location is GORGEOUS. Parking was fine (it was midweek late morning) and I immediately came in, grabbed a tray and tongs (in the orange fridge) and grab your goodies. You can't really go wrong imo: I love the milk breads, soft and chewy and probably a little mochi flour in it to make it chewy? I grab a few of these every time, toss in the fridge and split with my husband over the next few days. The strawberry one is always a winner, but this melon one was LOVELY. The cream is a Swiss meringue buttercream I think: if you stick them in the fridge leave them on the counter to get room temp before enjoying. I also got a coffee bun for the first time: WOW. Soft, chewy, coffee forward, the word I hate most, moist. Incredible.
