This place is very similar to the Paris Baguette or Shilla Bakery. If you came for pastries, grab a tray and tongs upon entry and browse the expansive case full of French and Asian pastries. If you're able to finally choose just one pastry, you'll then proceed to the cashier. You can add beverages, sandwiches and cakes to your order as you check out. There is lots of seating (cafe tables, counters, and long tables) so it is a great spot to meet a group of friends for a warm beverage. Very easy to get to, as well, just off route 50. I've been obsessed with Tous Les Jours ever since I first discovered them in Koreatown in NYC. Then I figured they were actually in the dmv area and it felt like the clouds had parted and angels were singing lol. Their first location in the area was in Annandale I think and this Chantilly location is actually one of their newer ones ( they have rapidly expanded their footprint), also the biggest one in my opinion. Super spacious, with tons of space to move around the food cases as your browse all kinds of sweet and savory desserts. My favorite part about this place is that they are usually very well stocked with savory stuff. Mt favorites are the danishes- both sweet and savory versions. I love the spinach, the tomato and olive ones. The guava also pretty yummy. Of course their cloud cakes are totally delish, esp the mango. I've tried a bunch of other desserts here like their sweet croissants and pies and everything is worth a second try in my opinion. Their bread loaves, while expensive, are also very very well made. I'm not a big coffee drinker so I can't really speak to their drinks. Love coming here and recommending the place to anyone that asks. read more

It's a good spot for dessert in Chantilly. Similar to their other locations, they have an assortment of pastries and beverages to choose from. We got a slice of the Green Tea Cream Cake as well as the Mocha Cloud Cake. Both of them were fresh and not overly sweet. But it is overpriced for a small slice of cake. We also ordered an Iced Strawberry Latte. It was decent in the beginning, however it tasted very watered down afterwards which was unexpected because we specified to have it with less ice. The interior looks very bright and spacious, but it tends to get crowded during the evenings and can be difficult to find a table. The service was quick and their staff were attentive. Great cafe but it gets very busy and loud on the weekends! It was hard to find a table on a random Sunday at 4 pm. Nonetheless, the layout is good and quite spacious. I loved the curry croquette! The breading was crispy yet soft and pillowy. The curry filling was delicious and nicely seasoned. The lavender latte was alright - I liked the flavor, but I didn't like biting into bitter pieces of lavender (it was hard to avoid the lavender bits). So, let me start off by saying that I do not enjoy leaving negative reviews. But, I do need to be completely honest in my opinion on how I view the establishment. First off, it was a very rainy day so a lot of folks were indoors with their families on a Saturday afternoon and it was loud, which was to be expected. No surprise there. We still had no issue on finding a table and the service station was very courteous. The restaurant was very clean and we never felt rushed. Their food is beautifully made and looks really delicious on the outside, however... Once we made our selections and got our coffee and tea, and then found our table to sit at, we started digging into our food choices. We selected the potato cheese bread, spinach cheese pastry, blueberry pastry, and an egg salad sandwich with turkey ham. Aside from the blueberry pastry, which you would expect to be sweet, WHY ON EARTH would EVERY OTHER ITEM BE EXCRUCIATINGLY SWEET AS WELL??!!!! I mean, WHY??!!!! When I get potato and cheese bread, I want to taste POTATO AND CHEESE!! When I get a spinach and cheese pastry, I want to taste SPINACH AND CHEESE!! And when I get an egg salad sandwich with turkey ham...well, you get the gist!! As you walk in, you will notice trays and tools for grabbing your baked good. Please do not use your hands to grab eats from the display cases. It's a French-Asian style bakery, so there are many classic options as well as French-Asian style bakery items available. Everything looks grand, so it will be hard to pick just one or two items. They also carry milk bread by the sliced loaf for home. French toast anyone?? There is a cold case of drinks and sandwiches, packaged coffees, and whole cakes near the front. There is also a small selection of candles should you need that last minute staple as you grab your cake. I was super excited that another bakery opened up on this stretch of 50, especially near Chantilly Costco! It has plenty of spacious parking. If you are the type that likes to study with background noise, then this place is pretty good for you! The noise wasn't too loud until it got close to closing time. They have spacious seating of different varieties near plugs. They also have outdoor seating. It looked like they had a large variety of pastries. There were some cream based ones that I haven't seen at the other nearby bakeries. They all looked so yummy and were pretty well priced. Their drink menu doesn't have much variety. It was just a small selection of coffees, teas, smoothies. Looking at the very few non-caffeinated options, I ended up picking the ube latte which was at the right level of sweetness. I tried some of my friends matcha latte and mocha latte which also tasted pretty good. The top design was pretty interesting with a raised edge to sip on. If you need water, they provide tap water in a small clear cup. Unfortunately, they don't have a rewards program. In addition, they don't provide discounts on leftover pastries. The bathrooms had a couple of stalls, but the trash can overflowing with trash. This was a good late night place to study at. I wouldn't mind coming back to study and try their pastries. read more

They have an assortment of sweet and savory. They provide trays, parchment paper, and tongs to allow you to pick your choice of food. You then take it to the counter, where you can order drinks and pay for your selection. FOOD: ~Chocolate cream donut (5/5): SO GOOD. The donut was light fluffy and had a good chew. The chocolate cream was not too sweet and very airy ~Strawberry Soborro (3/5): Just okay. I like how crispy the top/crumble part was ~Spicy Sausage (4/5): One of the better sausage breads that I've had from the Korean bakeries in the area. Not that spicy, but good balance of savory and sweet ~Mocha Frappuccino (2/5): Too sweet for my liking. Couldn't taste any coffee or chocolate. The food and the experience has been quite memorable for me and my friends. We tried the Mango cloud cake, strawberry cloud cake and Orange cloud cake. All three of them are super light and yummy. I would rank Mango cloud cake the best of three. We tried two of their savory puffs..spinach and cheese pastry, onion and mushroom pastry. Both of them were delicious with a cup of coffee. Madelines were okay too. Strawberry croissant is my personal favorite. The cream is soo light and it's only 350 calories a piece. The cafe itself is very spacious and clean. There are plenty of outlets and free wifi which makes it a good place to consider doing work in. The cafe itself is pretty cold so dress accordingly. There is an abundant amount of fresh baked goods to try out. I was in the savory mood thus I opted to try the croquette and franks bun. The croquette had a good crunch and breading to it but I think the filling could be more flavorful and salty. The franks bun was underwhelming as I've had better elsewhere. I also tried the honey lavender matcha. If you are a fan of real matcha, I'd skip this. You can clearly taste that it's the cheap matcha with creamer instead of ceremonial. The honey lavender syrup was only tasteful in the beginning but it just got way too sweet in the end. Service could be more friendly but nonetheless, the drink was made fast. But now, I'm in love with some of their stuff. This location is bright, clean and comfortable. It's right next to the Red Robin and there is plenty of parking. Fresh baked goods are displayed in glass cases in a self help manner. There are sanitized tongs and gloves available to use. There is an abundance of things here from sweet and savory pastries to cakes to macarons to hot and cold beverages. The cakes are sooooooooo good especially the strawberry cloud one. Absolutely lovely spot to sit and get some work done, catch up with friends, etc. I love that the bakery goods are at the center and very open concept so you don't feel squish in a corner picking out your pastries. I got to try out their Taro Cream Bread, and wow! So soft and fresh. The taro cream is just the right amount of sweetness added to the bread. I also tried their Honey Cheese Mochi Pancake, so delicious! Though they open at 7:30a, it's best to arrive approximately 8:30a because if you arrive too early, they won't have all their pastries or breads out but will only have their essentials for breakfast. The seating is toward the right side away from the pastry cases which is nice because you don't so crammed with people moving around. Once you walk in you grab a tray, a parchment liner and some tongs. And you can start walking around and picking up whatever pastries your heart desires! So much variety that it's hard to only pick one or two items. You get around to the other side and pay at the cashier, where you can also check out their cakes, whole and individual. I order their seasonal ube coconut yogurt tea...very odd at first with the tartness of the yogurt and then combined with ube and coconut taste. But it was weirdly good lol. We tried an assortment of goodies to include a chocolate covered waffle (super rich dark chocolate but quite dense on the waffle end), bulgogi pigs in a blanket (they come with three minis and a bit of sweetness to them), a chocolate croissant, strawberry bread with whipped cream (super soft like milk bread with a very slight sweetness to the filling), a turkey and avocado sandwich (this was my husbands fave and still felt very light for a sandwich), and the show stopper was the Mont Blanc!! If you try anything on your visit - get the Mont Blanc. It looks like an unassuming loaf of square bread, but the delicate layers of flaky bread with the crystallized sugar is perfection. We also tried two coffees (black) and a strawberry lemonade. The lemonade is super sweet but the kids didn't seem to mind. The coffees are made with lava and I'm pretty sure mine would still be hot three days later had I not poured small amounts into a separate cup to drink it. Seriously tho- can we lower the temp a little?... lol. Overall this is a solid spot and we'll definitely be returning.
