During the holidays they had it all decorated, and it felt so homey. I've been here a few times now and I've enjoyed these drinks: *Brown sugar milk tea (get it with boba, of course!) *Dream of Butterfly (so pretty!) *Mango green tea (a classic!) This location also has food options such as croffles. I tried the corn croffle and it was so fresh and tasty. It was just like ordering the sweet corn at KBBQ, but with a croffle! This is my go-to bubble tea! There are a ton of bubble tea places in South riding Chantilly area, but this one tops the mall. They have a unique coffee, bubble, tea drink, called the Brown Sugar Dalgonerte that is delicious! The Dalgonette is essentially espresso, whipped with a tiny bit of sugar and a tiny bit of cream, then frozen and whipped again... rendering your taste buds forever addicted to this unique mashup. Oh and if you decide to add honey boba to this delight, it's over...in a good way! In addition to this, there are a ton of other options, including non-coffee and decaf delights for your taste buds to dance around too. It's a good place to explore the menu. The services always wonderful, and they are happy and eager to please and answer any questions you might have. If you're a novice at ordering bubble tea, not to worry, they will walk you through the process! And if you ask nicely, they can help you decide which topping might best suit you through a sample! I'm so happy and over the moon that a Kokee tea opened so close to my neighborhood. It's always hard getting things to open and especially in this economy... but glad things didn't fall through... It is in walking distance from Paul VI and Freedom high school... you know what this means... this business is going to have out the door lines filled with fun teenage energy! I love supporting local businesses and seeing them succeed and become long term institutions for my family to visit! I always get 25% sugar/sweet... otherwise it's too sweet. You can do 50%, 75% and regular. It only has one size for the teas. The boba is soft and delicious. My girls love the jelly too. Thanks to Yelp, we learned about Kokee Tea, a new boba shop in the South Riding area. So of course we had to check it out. And what I found was a cute, welcoming space in a new development that has drink options and treats for the liking. I just didn't like my tea as much. We visited on a weekday afternoon and were the only ones until others arrived. Kokee Tea is located in a new business development area in the South Riding community. Inside, there was a good amount of seating that was inviting, as if you wanted to drink your tea there and hang out. Additionally, there was an area for outdoor seating. I ordered the Kokee Milk Tea, which was earl grey, with milk and cloud foam. Because earl grey tea is my favorite tea, which I often drink, I was excited to try this particular beverage here. Plus, I like drinks with foam on top for that extra oomph. However, I found the earl grey tea to be on the lighter side, so it didn't have that strong, black tea flavor that I'm so used to having. Not sure if it was because of the amount of milk added to the tea, but I really wanted to taste more of my beloved earl grey than I had. Because of how friendly the staff were and welcoming the space is, I would try Kokee again, but would opt for something different. With how large the menu is, with different teas, slushees, smoothies, and fruit teas, there's bound to be something better for me. read more

Newly opened in this being developed area at the corner of Gum Spring and Braddock Rd, this boba place is a must see because it has both a large indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating was neat with high steel chairs and lamps! I can only imagine when warmer weather comes, it will surely populate both young & mature clientele. Owner was very nice and helpful in explaining or introducing the different flavors, which, some were the usual, and some were new inventions! They also asked how you want your drink, options for light to medium to heavy sweet so a plus. I did my regular and it was just right for me! This place just opened up. Everything inside is nicely decorated and clean. There is limited seating inside but plenty of seating outside to enjoy a nice day. They have the typical Tea and coffee selections. I got the brown sugar cold brew. It wasn't too sweet and had plenty of coffee. I like it strong and it hit the spot. I also ordered an original croffle. It's a waffle mixed with a croissant. I thought it was good but could have been better if it was warm. The "South Riding" location is confusing. I would have thought this was located in Aldie, since the housing development across the street is. Moreover, St. Paul VI Catholic High School which is located adjacent to this cafe is in Chantilly, but somehow this cafe is South Riding? Anyway, I finally had the opportunity to try this cute little cafe since my son wanted bubble tea. Perhaps I just haven't had bubble tea in such a long time, but I thought it odd that you have to pay $0.75 more for your tapioca balls. Seems like buying a cheeseburger but charging extra for the cheese. What next, $0.25 for the big fat straw? I did like that you can customize the sweetness level. 75% was still very sweet for me, so maybe next time I'll try the 25%. I'm sure we'll be back soon. read more

Came when they first opened. The flavors here are unique. This place reminds me of a Korean bakery as they are open earlier than traditional bubble tea places and specialize in certain bakery items. They close a bit earlier than other bubble tea places though so don't come here if you are looking for a late night craving for bubble tea. read more

- This is my second time at Kokee Tea the scenery of the place feels nice. - The service is fine I would rate it a 4 out of 5. -My first visit I got strawberry milk tea with 75% sugar and for me personally the sugar level still wasn't high enough (but) I also have a higher sugar tolerance than the average person. Although if you like sweet and sugary taste in your boba tea defiantly get at least (75% sweet or higher) -My second visit I got KOKEE milk tea w/ 75% sweet and let's just say it defiantly isn't something I would try again it has this coffee based flavor with a bitter taste to it - One more thing to add is I noticed this odd flavor in both of my teas that is difficult to describe but my best way to explain it is that it taste like a distasteful flavored water. Cool busy neighborhood spot because it's brand new. Pricey but that isn't deterring curious patrons. You have to pretty much pay extra for everything so a $5 tea can end up costing $7 or $8 bucks. For that, I'll make a few pots at home. I had a signature drink which didn't taste like anything special or something you can't make at home. The question always is, will you go through the trouble? If prices go down to a more normal range after this tough economy, I'll go more often just cuz I dig boba. They'll probably get a lot of biz from the close by high schools, but that will mean lots more wayward trash, especially plastics, for the nearby neighborhoods, sewers, and ultimately our waterways, soil, environment in general. Bottom Line: Welcome to the neighborhood. Tea is healthy but lotsa flavors infused by syrups which remove the healthy factor. Is it really brewed or is it just a mix? We are new to VA we have gone three times this month we loved the ambiance it's so cozy clean and cute, we tried boba from other shops and kokee beats them all 10/10 my girls and I are obsessed with the Oreo CC Brown sugar I did try one of their iced coffees and it was not good I wouldn't buy again their tiramisu is delicious as well as their macaroons another thing is the service is 10/10 the first time we went I didn't get a card for the drinks stamps but I noticed them the second time and got one we can't wait to try everything else Also for thanksgiving we tried looking up places that were open since we don't celebrate that and we'll it said on Apple Maps that the business was open its a 25 min drive for us when we arrived we found out it was actually closed not really the business fault we should had called to double check since it's a holiday, plus we didn't mind getting out the house we were just so excited for some boba but I'm sure some people would be upset to make a drive for it to be closed idk if the business hours can be updated but just a heads up for other holidays read more

Hi. I've recently started visiting this place and found it to be a nice and convenient boba choice. The drinks are good and there are the usual options to adjust sweetness and ice level to your preference. I typically get things at half sugar which fits my needs well. The croffle offerings are a real hit and complement the drink menu. We've tried several of them, including the dalgona, thinking of the ex girlfriend, thinking of the ex boyfriend and they're all good. Tried this new little shop when getting my nails done in the same strip mall. I just had a coffee drink, but they have a variety of specialties and the servers (owners?) were awkwardly excited (cute) to take and make our order. Some of the food items looked interesting, but it was just after lunch so we didn't try them. My drink was great. The shop itself is little sets of tables and chairs and quaint. It's a convenient little place to grab a drink and maybe will become a neighborhood meet-up spot over time. read more

I recently tried canned bubble tea from Sprouts farmers market and was impressed by the taste. I decided one day that I was going to stop by and try Kokee tea and today was the day. I didnt know that had one in the area and judging by the construction this must be a fairly new location. The korean staff here are super sweet and offer a wide variety of drinks to choose from. The dragon fruit tea with bubbles was delicious however the mango passion fruit was ok. I'm assuming it would've tasted better had I asked for the bubbles. Maybe I'll give a try again someday. The service was relatively quick as well which is a huge plus. However the area to sit down and stand on line to order your drinks is small and congested. Wish they extended that area so more people can stand on line even though the other side of the shop is extremely spacious for you to sit down and gather. read more
