Cake was good but business was bad. We ordered the large $35 caramel mocha cake and there was one in the front but the lady that worked there said she would get a fresh one from the back but was having a hard time explaining with minimal English. So when she came out with the cake, another lady rang us up so we were busy paying while the other lady boxed the cake. When we came home, we realized they gave us a smaller cake instead of the larger one. If they ever say they would get the cake from the back, make sure it is the correct size! I wanted to order a birthday cake from them, the manager gave me her # & ask me to send her picture & text that how I want my cake. But when I tell her what I want, she just refused everything, just keep saying their chef is really busy,busy & busy... they can't make anything else except their own display cakes @ their counters. Also she doesn't reply my message right the way, I have wait till the next day or 2,3 days for her to respond. I don't know how they can they keep the business like treat customers like this. I ordered a cake from the Carrollton location mistakingly and tried to pick it up at the Plano location. I got a little frustrated when they couldn't pull up my order and the cake chef came out to apologize and said not to worry and that he would still give me a cake. We eventually figured out that I ordered from the wrong location but the chef was well ready to give me a free cake. They literally take the phrase the customer is always right to heart even when we are completely in the wrong. Sorry!!!! The fresh cream cake is a 10/10. Extra moist and not super sweet! read more

This has always been my favorite asian bakery mainly because their selection better fits my taste. Most of the time I usually pick up things that look good and I've never been disappointed. Their breads are very soft and not dense like other places. The ratio to bread and cream/filling is always right. Not too much and not too little. I love the milk+ breads, cream cheese bread, or pretty much anything creamed filled. I have yet to try any of their cakes or desserts so I'll definetely try them when the occasion arises. read more

This is a great bakery. Although it's a worldwide chain, they do offer some decent pastries. Some of our favorites include the custard buns, the pistachio macaroons etc. Most of the pastries here seem pretty fresh. The one i got today was the mocha cream cheese bun. It looks like a sponge but tastes pretty yummy. The mocha cheese bun is slightly chocolatey light and has notes of coffee after each bite. This place has the best bread and cakes around town. They bake their breads fresh every morning and are usually all sold out by the end of the day on weekends. My family and I love the fresh cream cake, not too sweet and has a really soft, nice texture. They have a lot of perfect treats for any occasion, they have macarons, sliced cakes and great coffee. Love Asian store bakeries! They're perfect to grab a treat after grocery shopping. Their green tea cake is pretty good. Slightly dry though. Maybe they should slice to order instead of refrigerating slices. I liked the cream-filled bun with coconut shavings on top but I wouldn't recommend it for people who aren't sweet lovers. I thought the custard-filled bun was ok but I prefer softer custard filling like eclairs. Also tried their whole wheat bread and I really like the texture. It's slightly different from regular store bread. There are a lot of pumpkin seeds in it too and you can really taste it. And must say they have great customer service! read more

I've had all positive experiences at this location - we definitely like them much more than the Carrollton store. I decided to no longer visit the Carrollton location b/c a lady who was sealing the plastic wrap on a bread I purchased sneezed ONTO my bread and continued packing it as if nothing happened. The owner, Monica, at Plano store is super friendly and personable and we adore her sweet employees. We've ordered a few cloud cakes for special occasions and they were delicious. They're gorgeous to look at, made fresh in house, not too sweet and the light cream icing is much more suitable to Asian taste. One of my favorite Asian bakeries. My favorite breads are the cranberry cream cheese, chocolate horn, coconut cream. Their melon bread actually has a hint of melon ! Their fresh cream cakes are delicious, moist, and not too sweet. I often buy them for birthdays or events and they go quickly. Adding messages to the cakes are free, but order a day in advance. I don't like their chocolate cakes, though. Too bland and doesn't have a rich chocolate flavor. I also don't like their coffee or teas, probably the worst I've ever had... but yeah, they're baked goods and cakes will not disappoint! read more

Most of the time I like what I got except anything with pumpkin inside is too sticky for me & it sticks to your teeth. One day while I was eating there, I had crumbs all over my mouth. I'll swing by every time i go to h-mart, in houston and in plano, just to take a peep at the baked goodies. Every time i've been to a tous les jours location I leave happy. The customer service here is really wonderful, everyone is extremely welcoming and nice, which is a vast contrast to most asian operated/owned locations. Got my mom hooked on their "The milk+" breads which are delicious breads filled with custards. I personally like the strawberry one the best, but there's also another version that has a buttercream like filling. meh. Their frozen yogurt is also really good here... simple and tart, as it should be. I've tried their cakes before, they're a bit dry for my taste, but maybe it was just the one I got, who knows. Lots of buttercream which i'm not a fan of, but it's not overwhelming sweet which is great. Plus the cakes come with an awesome plastic knife. read more

We have tried many flavors so far ( fresh cream, mocha, matcha green tea tea, chocolate). They are all yummy. The cakes are moist and the whipped fresh cream topping and filling are perfect - not too sweet. The use of fresh fruit for decoration and filling adds natural sweetness to the cake while making it look pretty. Jae, the baker and owner, offers the best customer service. I ordered a size 3 birthday cake from the Plano store for my son and it was good, so I decided to order another cake for my daughter two weeks later. I took the cake home and realized that the size three cake was smaller than the size 3 cake we had two weeks ago. I called the store and asked to speak to the owner, and she explained that they are franchise store and they can change the cake size whenever they want. During the conversation, the owner speak fluent English, and all of a sudden she transfer the phone call to her employee. I asked the guy why the owner passed over the phone to him all of a sudden without notice. The employee told me that the store owner decided she did not speak English anymore. Very disappointed with this bakery store. I pre-ordered a b-cake for my family over the phone the day before and agreed with the staff to pay when picking up the order on another day at the lunch time and they will hold it for me before 1:00pm. Unfortunately, when I made my long way driving arrived there during the discussed picking up time, they haven't prepared the cake yet and let me to wait at least another 40mins or so to wait for a new cake that will be prepared. They said the staff who communicated with me who messed up with my order and didn't even place this order. I think this is unacceptable for a customer to wasted time to pay for their employee's mistake. When I walked out the store and told them I will never come back again to ur store and they replied back with "okay". They don't even care about customer's feelings, how could we trust that they can make a good bakery for us? Do they really know what's the meaning behind of the cake and how important to people's life? The answer is no. I would not suggest to order from this bakery in Plano location. This place ruined my first baby shower! I would never return and not suggest anyone to order special cake from the place!! I ordered a two tier baby shower cake with fresh cream. I showed the cake photo I wanted to the chef, and he promised he can make the same cake with fresh cream. When I came today, two hours before my baby shower, the cake was totally different from what I ordered!! It was ugly. The monkeys on the cake were blur. Then the chef said he thought it was pretty and blamed me for not ordering a foundant cake! I told him I would take a photo and post to Yelp. He suddenly took the cake away and not sold me the cake.
