I'm so glad they have a Tous les Jours location randomly in Vancouver, and it happens to be pretty close to me! They usually have these in Hmarts, but I love the free-standing cafes! My first job when I was young was at a Tous les Jours, and I always love coming back and reliving the memories :) Korean bakeries are the best. Bakery items are delicious, and they also have coffees, cakes, and desserts. If you want the best experience, come early when they open, when all their bread is fresh out of the oven. There aren't many options past noon so come early if possible. A few of my favorites are the ube-flavored desserts, sesame balls with cheese corn inside, and the curry croquets! Staff is nice, and the setting inside is chill! No outside seating, but plenty of parking! Def visit and try! read more

Timing was never right for going there, but we finally made it in. I didnt realize it was one of those pick what you want & put it on your tray type of places. We went in the afternoon, so yes late according to bakery standards, so some items were gone already. However there was still alot to choose from. It was quite overwhelming, but I knew i wanted to try both savory & sweet. We ended up with 4 savory & 2 sweet. A few of the standouts were the matcha donut. That thing was filled to the brim with cream, matcha cream not too sweet. The ham garlic bread was so savory, great garlic flavor. Also the mushroom bread, mmm that warmed up & toasted was delicious. Had to get some drink too because why not. Ube latte & iced matcha latte both were good. The pricing on pastries seemed a bit high. It was like $50 for 8 things. Service was ok, a bunch of younger kids who seemed like they were just working to work. I do want to try some other pastries though. Will have to come earlier next time. read more

Wow! I am so happy Vancouver now has a premium bakery. I have been to several bakeries like Tous Les Jours in the Bay Area and even in Tigard. Quickly reminded me of 85 Degree Bakery. Something about grabbing your own tray and tongs to select your own desires. I was so impressed with the ambiance as you walked in. Seeing different people sitting and eating while visiting and other families picking out desserts together. Yes addictive!!! lol when, I only wanted a couple of pastries, I came home with 6 plus a tiramisu coffee. I recommend this place for catching up with friends or family. I will be back. read more

2nd visit...came earlier around noon and most everything was available which was good but harder to choose as well. We got 5 bakery goods but could only finish 4 between 2 people. Tous Les Jours is an Asian / French bakery with a wide variety of baked good, and a few hot items. Be sure to arrive early for best selection, as they tend to sell out pretty quickly. The baked goods are competent, but not at an artisan level, again, not surprising based on the type of establishment it is. Signage and "how to" is sorely lacking, but things are basically "cafeteria style". When you enter, grab a tray, a sheet of paper to place on it, and a pair of tongs. Pile anything you want to purchase on it (guessing as to what many of the items are because of, again, signage issues), and bring it to the register when you're done, so you can be ignored by the staff for entirely too long, even if you're the only person at the counter. On the plus side, there's plenty of parking in a private lot. I'd not recommend going out of your way to visit, but if you're in the neighborhood anyway, it's probably worth stopping in. read more

So happy that they opened up nearby! I love French-Asian bakeries. Any bakery from South Korea brought to home is an A+ in my book. They just know how to do cafes right! Cloud cakes, milk breads, curry croquette galore! So many sweet treats and coffee of course. I would say I wish they served more curry buns at this location. I've been coming here for a while now, always hoping the coffee will be better the next time, but it never is. The drinks are consistently too sweet, and what bothers me most is the temperature. Tous Les Jours, despite its name, is not a French Bakery, it is an Asian one! It's been a growing chain that has spread a lot over the years and I'm glad Vancouver now has one to call its very own! The baked goods are unique and not things you'll find at many Asian bakeries. They lean more toward a western fusion ( hence the name ), but you'll still find a lot of Korean inspired flavors ( Cheese Corn, Kim Chi, etc). Some items are hit and miss for me, as they're clearly meant to be safer options for kids, but be adventurous and find some gems! Oh, and their cakes are awesome. It's really cute inside! For their soft opening they had balloons up, and they have a lot of little souvenirs to grab as well. Their service can definitely use some improvement, but that's okay! I can tell it was literally people being trained on the job and trying to find buttons on the register. They have a long way to go, but they're definitely trying to do their best. Nice addition to the Vancouver bakery scene~ I have been to many a Tous Les Jours in my time, mostly in CA and in Korea, but have a strong liking for their cakes since they tend to be lighter and not too sweet. This spot is in a complex with a good amt of parking and the interior is cute with an ample amount of seating. I will say that many of the pastries seemed to be low/missing from the shelves when I went mid-day on a weekday but there were plenty of cake choices which is what I was there for. I did also appreciate the savory section in the oven appearing contraption with some good curry pan - they did also offer to heat up any items if you wanted at the checkout. You usually go in, grab a tray, pick out what you want and pay at the front. For whole cakes or cake slices, you ask for them at the counter. I went with a mango cake for a small summer dinner party and I will say even the smallest cake was ~45. Prices are going up everywhere so I'm not shocked, but at the same time, want to acknowledge that it was steeper than anticipated. Flavorwise, the mango cake was good though some of the mango chunks were more ripe than others. All in all, a good contender and bakery option in the area. read more

I'm always on the look out for new places to eat. This Asian (yes, it's a chain) bakery recently opened on Fourth Plain and had to go try it. The kids and I got there fairly late in the afternoon and there were quite a few customers inside, not overly crowded. Most of their breads were already sold so selection was limited, but still had some pastries and cakes to choose from. My kid tried their macarons, I got a couple of their ube milk bread, and croissants. All good. I'll have to go back earlier in the day to see what they have for baked breads. It's my weakness. The place is clean and service was also good. There's ample parking since the bakery is located close to the Walmart Superstore complex. Definitely recommend. read more

This place is so aesthetic inside and matches their aesthetic and elegant pastries!! We went in at 7 pm on a Friday and they were already condensing the pastries into other windows and vacuuming, maybe cleaning a bit early? I'm not sure but people were consistently popping by after we came in. We tried one of each thing we really wanted to try other than the strawberry croissant because they were out (we'll have to come back for that). I like the self serving with the tongs and tray for easy in-store eating. Every single thing here was light, fluffy and heavenly! I don't want my cakes from anywhere else! Even with it being later in the day, everything still had great quality, texture and flavor! Some of the employees didn't seem too thrilled to be there or that we came in later, but I ignored that. So glad we finally have a location on this side of the bridge. Stopped in around 6 and the shelves were pretty much empty so we just ordered some matcha drinks. Customer service was okay, could use some work. The girl working the register wasn't that friendly and didn't really greet or acknowledge us when we were standing there ready to order. There were only 3 other people sitting in the corner when we arrived but a few of the seats/tables were dirty and had used napkins left on them. Drinks were good but the paper straws were so think that it just felt weird and tasted weird with our drinks. Will definitely stop by again to try some baked goods. read more

The bakers need a take a lesson from their Beaverton sister location. Everything is overbaked and dry compared to their Oregon locations. Hillsboro and Beaverton pastries are golden brown, this location is dark brown. I would have bought more if everything wasn't borderline burnt. read more

Wow!! The best strawberry cream donut ever! The store has great ambiance and very welcoming. I wanted one of everything but I decided a donut and a Carmel apple pastry and fresh lemonade would be a good start. My husband had the ube donut which was also tasty! I had high hopes for this location because of the positive reviews, but unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. The store itself is visually appealing, but the atmosphere inside felt unwelcoming. There were no greetings or signs to guide first-time visitors, so we had to figure things out on our own. When we stood in line, several employees were behind the counter but no one acknowledged us until we were finally waved up. Even customers were unwelcoming and stared at us as if we were not supposed to be there. We ordered two slices of cake (blueberry cloud and mango cloud). The portions were small for the price, and the overall service felt rushed and impersonal. Once outside, my girlfriend discovered a hair in her blueberry cloud cake and became sick shortly after. My mango slice didn't cause any illness, but it was bland and underwhelming given the price and reputation. Overall, the lack of customer service, poor quality control, and disappointing flavors left us feeling let down. I expected much more considering the hype, but sadly I cannot recommend this location based on our visit. read more

We walked into this newly opened bakery for the first time today. The first thing we noticed was the lovely pink and gray decor and relaxing music. Then the gorgeous pastries took all our attention. We got an almond croissant and a garlic cream cheese bun plus vanilla lattes. Both pastries were delicious! The croissant was shatteringly flaky and the garlic bun was sweet and savory all at once. We weren't impressed with the lattes. They were cloyingly sweet. I wouldn't get those again. When I got home I told my daughter how delicious our treats were and since she had to go up that way she stopped in. She bought a large selection! She offered me tastes of each! So yummy! We found the egg tarts good, but too sweet. She also bought an Iced Ube Latte and that was too sweet as well. We like sweets (obviously!) but the lattes were too sweet even for us. Of all our choices, we liked the chocolate almond croissant the very best. This is a lovely addition to Vancouver and I know we will be there again. I have ordered an Iced Caramel Macchiato ($7.50) and a Fresh Cream Cake Piece ($7), the coffee wasn't overly sweet which is perfect for me and the lid for the plastic cup has a specific design to them for not overspilling. And the dessert has a light cream with berries on top and strawberries inside, the cake has stability, balanced sweetness and beautiful visual appearance. I was wondering why this place had such a low rating when the brand is so popular at other locations. Well, I went and I experienced it for myself. The pastries are cold and hard. When you tell the cashier you'll be eating the pastries here, they don't heat them up for you. You eat cold and hard pastries. I remember the KTown location in SoCal was sooooo good because the pastries were hot and fresh, and there was so much variety. Theres literally only a handful of pastries here. Good luck finding something that tastes good. I gave this place one star for giving out cake samples and another star for decent cakes. read more
