Tout Suite has a lot of great things going for them; that's why they are continuously busy and a popular choice in the area. From macarons to cold press juices to pastries and full on hot entrees, it's an ideal place to host meetings or just grab a casual meal with a friend. And their social media posts are en fuegs, and constantly remind me to pop back in. However, there are just a few things that make me think twice about going back: It can get really loud inside. And second, coffee and food don't always come out pipin' hot. For those complaining about the homeless campgrounds across the street: That's not a Tout Suite issue - that's a city of Houston issue. Now that I work remotely I have really enjoyed finding different locations around Houston to give me a new environment from my living room. Me and my friend popped in here on a Friday afternoon and the experience was great. There were so many goodies to choose from and a full desert bar. We didn't get as much work done but we enjoyed all the eats and it was perfect for a light Friday. The supervisor Derick was very friendly and took great care of us. Absolutely gorgeous shop!! Very certain in it's aesthetic so it's a comfortable place. My boyfriend and I got two flat whites the first time we went. One of them was a little foamy but the other was great and perfect! Very almondy taste from the espresso. Sadly, the second time we went both flat whites were foamy and there were espresso grounds at the bottom of our cup so the final sip was painful. The food was wonderful though!! Hidden gem ... totally like a dream ... this place is amazing :) The food is fresh and tasty, inviting interior, super friendly staff and they have different styles of seating to meet any and every need - laptop working space, high stool bar, open group seating, small cozy tables, etc. Had only ordered delivery from here before.... SO GLAD I FINALLY WENT INSIDE - didn't know what I'd been missing. The food was always great but the ambience is even better! This spot is not like your regular Starbucks. It's has a good vibe. The coffee is good and a little pricier than I would like it to be but not bad for a downtown location. There's a lot of ppl sitting and working here. It's a good place to concentrate to do some work and have a good conversation. I like this place as my meetup spot. I've been here a few times. This warehouse cafe is one of my go-to places to grab a bite to eat and study. There is a huge parking lot to the left of the building and plenty of spaces in front also. I've had their coffee a couple times and none of them stood out to me but these desserts are a show stopper. So many different pastries to choose from. The next thing I'm gonna have to try is their bottled juices. (5/5) BLT: I originally came in wanting to try the Toast sampler but the cashier told me that they only serve it for brunch. My problem with BLTs is the meat to bread ratio. A couple slices of thin slices bacon was not gonna cut it for me. I've never had a memorable BLT and usually stay away. For some reason, I decided to get the BLT here and it was the best decision ever! Tout Suite does not mess around. They loaded so much thick bacon. The fried green tomato reminded me of pickles which I'm a fan of. There was a hefty portion of fries and a sweet marinara dipping sauce. I was so full and satisfied after this meal. (4/5) MACARONS: Their macarons are beautiful and come in many delicious flavors. My only issue is that normally they are $2-3 for one and that's steep in my opinion. This place is a great place for brunch. We got the eggs Norwegian and it was delicious. The salmon was fresh and smoked to perfection. I love the scrambled eggs and bread underneath as well. We also got the chicken and waffles. The chicken was crispy but not oily. And together with the waffles it was delicious. I feel like the price doesn't match the flavor! I completely understand that this is a sophisticated menu, but the delivery falls short. Meal: 2.5/5 I ordered the Southern Benedict with potatoes. I enjoyed the twist in the ketchup. It had a nice sweetness to it. Additionally the potatoes were well executed. They has a soft fluffy inside and were not over seasoned, so you could REALLY enjoy the potato flavor. The actual southern benedict was presented beautifully. HOWEVER, its too bad that the flavor fell short. Fried chicken, over a jalapeno corn fritter, poached egg, with a hot sauce hollandaise. Sounds like it should be a symphony of flavor in your mouth. It wasn't. Everything was almost bland, is if holding back to not over power the egg yolk flavor. If you ate each component alone, you can grasp what they were reaching for. But all together, no flavor truly shines through here. The issue with that is that it makes for a lackluster entreé. It had the word "southern" for goodness sake. Southern food is so saturated with flavor that if you are going to use that word to describe your dish, then you better bring it! Macarons: 5/5 The freaking macarons though... BOMB AF!!! PERFECTLY SMOOTH shell. Nice chewy texture. Every flavor was unique and so distinct. It was amazing to see how well the execution was on these. It just makes me much more sad about the entreé delivery. Ambience: 2.5/5 The interior of the restaurant had a beautiful, hipster-y layout. The nice light bulbs and calming music. The big issue is as you eat you look through these amazing windows to watch a homeless camp. Now, I don't say this to make it seem like i would pretend the homeless don't exist. Looks can be deceiving! I see that Tout Suite is infamous for mixed reviews, having good days and bad days, but it's a really bad day when they catch me on their bad day... PSA: I already have a bad impression of their sister shop, Sweet. I am also not a regular patron by any means at Tout Suite, although, I have been there a few times...either way, there is one common denominator in both my experiences....and that is the customer service!! I think Tout Sweet and Sweet were one of the first ones to put macarons popularity on the map in Houston!...I have always loved their macarons and desserts, coffee, cupcakes, and everything else...but it deters me from wanting to return because every time I go, the customer service sucks! The flavors, the density and right ratio of stickiness and crumbly goodness are on point! So I always find my way back to getting their macarons...which in this case, they were celebrating their 11th birthday with $1.11 macarons (minimum 11 pcs), and I barely missed the window. They had strict rules on when and how to pick up your order, so I placed my order for 2:55 PM today, so I had to leave work to drive there to pick it up... I walk in...cafe's steadily busy, but not a rush. There was no line, and several employees behind the dessert cases...I'm not sure why anyone of them wouldn't be able to confirm my pick-up order so I could be on-my-way, but I had to go up to three people, just so someone would acknowledge me, and then when I reached the third person, she asked me for my order number. I didn't have it readily open, so I had to search my email, which took no more than a minute, and as I was looking up my order number, she walked away and picked up a phone call!!!...She should've waited for me to show my order number, it didn't take long to pull it up. She could have given me my order right after, but instead she walked away and answered a call. I consider this unprofessional. I blurted out that I have my order number ready! She completely ignored me while she was on that call, never apologized, and continued to walk away and ignore me even after her call! Another employee kindly got my order and brought it to me. So rude and incredibly frustrating when the process should've been quick and painless! Then, I debated on ordering coffee. No one seemed to care to do their job. The first guy who sent me to the second girl, just mumbled and pointed in a general direction, then the second barista pointed around the counter that I needed to go to the third girl, like REALLY??...back to coffee, sorry. So they have a QR code where you can order online, but if you don't have cash app, or google pay, forget about it. You have to stand there and put in your CC info just to order a cup of overpriced coffee...that's right friends, $7 for a caramel macchiato with oat milk sub. Ridiculous. I literally said screw it, and walked out...with my paid macarons of course. Customer service definitely needs a facelift at Tout Suite and at Sweet. read more

My once favorite açaí bowl ruined during this encounter ): I came here for their 5 year anniversary where they had deals for $5 such as $5 for 5 macarons, macarons ice cream sandwiches, avocado toast and açaí bowls. I wish on their advertising it would mention that the portion differs from their regular portion. My to-go açaí bowl was super small and the consistency was very liquidy like water. I would avoid any type of açaí bowl deal here in the future. They make 10 orders at a time, so the bowl gets very warm and it's just not good at all because it's been sitting there. Also I guess the staff just wasn't having it today or something because when my sister approached them about her incorrect macaron order, she was given an attitude by 2 employees. They gave her a rose macaron instead of red velvet. She found out it was a rose flavored macaron (after biting into it of course), and went back to them to ask if she could get the correct one (she showed them the paper which had the order on it). She is not a fan of rose at all so she immediately knew it wasn't red velvet when she took a bite. The man got angry and questioned her about why she bit into it...umm how was she supposed to know it wasn't red velvet? It seemed like they had a problem with replacing the macaron when they were the ones who messed up. I decided to order the acai smoothie which was $8.12 for one size. That is insane for a smoothie (however with acai powder) still super expensive to me. Everything on the menu is very expensive. My food and drinks are always amazing here! This is definitely one of my favorite coffee and bite spots. Iced Matcha: Hands down the best iced matcha I've ever had. I love getting mine with oat milk. Fries: Really good side to any meal. Perfectly seasoned and crisp. Club sandwich with whole wheat bread: Just look at that size! So delicious and nicely stacked.
