I was forced to work with this company through AAA. They came out two days ago and said they would charge an additional 100 fee because the truck wasn't inspected. I said I would have to wait till today when I get paid. They came out and charged my girlfriend an additional 155 for the same service. Yesterday my wife came out of work at Heritage Valley Hospital in Beaver to a flat tire on her car. she called AAA and they sent Tow Tegrity, instead of putting the spare on he filled the flat tire and told her she was good to go and that the tire went flat because of the cold. One of Tow-tegrity's drivers hit the mirror on my pickup truck. To his credit, the driver came to my door and gave me his card (although my Ring surveillance camera caught the incident). He called it into the office and they told him that they would replace the mirror in their auto body shop. I didn't get upset. Accidents happen and so I told him no problem. Later that day, the office called me and asked when I could bring the truck in for repair. Problem 1. They hit me. And now they expect me to take a day off of work to take my truck to them? Not going to happen. So they said they would send someone out to see the truck and make sure they ordered the correct mirror assembly. When he arrived, he told me that they would most likely replace it with a mirror from a junk yard. Again, I was reasonable and said that was OK. He gave me his cell number. Problem 2. A week went by and I hadn't received an update. I called the gentleman who came to my house to look at the truck to see where they were with the mirror. He said he'd check and get right back to me. I never received a call back. Problem 3. Another week went by and I called the gentleman again. He said that the part came in and asked when I could bring the truck in. Again, I told them they would have to come and get it. I asked him why I didn't receive a call back the previous week, and he asked me if I hadn't received a call from another person in the shop. I told him I hadn't. Remember, he said that HE would check into it and that HE would call me back. He said they would call and let me know when they would come and tow it to their shop. Problem 4. Another week went by I was just about to call them again and demand that they fix the mirror within 3 days or I would take it to a Ford dealership and make them pay for the repair when I received a call from someone in their office. She told me that the part HAD JUST COME IN and she wanted to know when they could come and tow the truck to their shop. Wait a minute. I was told the previous week that the part was there and ready to install. Now I'm being told that the part had just arrived? Was I lied to the previous week? There's no way for me to know for sure. I'll leave it up to you to decide. Problem 5. They did come on the day I agreed to and took the truck. Several hours later they called to say they were bringing it back. I was running errands and told them to park it IN THE STREET IN FRONT OF THE GRASSY AREA to the left of my driveway, so that it wouldn't block the driveway my wife uses. When I returned home, they had backed the truck up INTO THE SLOPING GRASSY AREA, tearing up the lawn that was saturated with the melting snow. I'm waiting for a cold day where the mirror is frosted to see if the heating element in the mirror works. We'll see. If I could give them a rating of zero (or even a negative rating), I would do so. read more

My girlfriend had a skid plate that fell off while driving her Hyundai Tuscon to work. The skid plate fell off due to someone at Pep Boys in Cranberry, PA re-installing the oil skid plate incorrectly after a routine oil change. Tow-Tegrity was called to tow the car to a garage and could not have been more helpful. The owner called me personally when I could not be present physically and ensured me they would take great care of transporting the car. AAA assigned them to tow my Acura MDX that had a bad starter. Even though this was a really busy day for Tow-Tegrity, they let me know when they left their previous call and we're on their way to me. Derek was the driver and he did a good job in setting expectations of when he will arrive and what he was going to do when he got here. When Derek arrived, he first tried to start my car using a couple of methods (this exceeded my expectations). When it didn't work, he helped get the car out of the parking area and load it on the truck quickly. I rode with him to my mechanic's shop and we had a great conversation. Derek was very nice and I would be glad to use him again in the future. read more

We hit a deer on 376 on route from airport to New Castle. The rental car was severely damaged,, the 3 of us were ok. They came to our rescue. Two rode in the cab and the state trooper gave me a ride. We all went to New Brighton. It was a very cold night. Matthew and Todd and another nice man were all super nice and tried to cheer us up while we were talking to Alamo trying to arrange a ride home or back to airport to get another rental. There were no Uber or Lyft or taxis available in the area. Alamo wouldn't deliver a vehicle to New Brighton. The guy in charge called the owner, Michelle, and explained our predicament. She authorized an extended cab to take us 28 miles to New Castle. The next day I was on a 3 way call with Alamo and Michelle to square away paperwork. Called AAA and they came to pick up my truck. When he got there he said he didn't want to scratch his new tow truck on our bushes. I was friendly and said I'll try to figure out what was wrong myself. One month later, after I was unable to diagnose the problem, I pulled my truck out where the tow truck would not have to hit my bushes. Called AAA again then received a return call from different garage from East Liverpool Ohio who inguired about why Tow tegrity couldn't make the tow. I explained the whole bush scenario and that it wouldn't be a problem now. He said they'd figure it out and have AAA get back to me. AAA dispatch called and said Tow tegrity flat out refused to make the tow. I called them to ask why and they couldn't tell me. They don't really live up to their name in my opinion. read more

They overcharged after they found out it was an insurance claim, not $250 for a tow, not even $500, they charged over $2000 for a tow of a small compact car after an accident. Do NOT recommend. We needed a tow from a business's parking lot where our car broke down. The guy showed up early, then got mad because he had to wait and was hot. He ALREADY had the tire off, when my husband showed up...which meant it couldn't driven up on the bed, even though it was STILL able to do so prior to tire removal (my husband requested to drive it on up on the truck, and then drive it off into our driveway...guy REFUSED). He kept angrily complaining about the heat while arguing over what else he could charge us for because he didnt wanted be there. Then he panicked over the smell of brake fluid, because he thought it was transmission fluid (he had NO idea what kind of condition he was looking at...as in NOTHING about vehicles). Once at our house, he roared through our graveled back drive, only to get irate about not knowing how to park there to unload...so....he speed down the side street and around the block to angrily stop infront of our house and continue to struggle to unload our vehicle, which ended up too far out in the road. His nasty butt crack showing through his sweaty underwear he didnt seem to want to pull up, was unnecessary and proof of his lack of Give a Crap. Now we have a day to get a tire back on (almost impossible at this point) so we dont get a ticket for being out front during street cleaning. It would have been easier for all, if he KNEW what he was doing, had SOME professionalism, and actually TRIED to do a good job. **Beware** Price Gougers!!! My female driver was stuck in a driveway during a bad snow storm at night. All tow companies were very busy and we made the mistake of getting this one. Very rude and unprofessional individuals charged $700 for a pull out knowing that there were very few resources available and it would be hours before they got there. They actually got upset when I though the price was to high and knew they were taking advantage of the situation. This normally would have cost about $100-$150. Won't ever do business with them again. I am a fleet owner and am in their area all the time. I will insure my other fleet owners I know are informed and we have about 400 vans that operate in and around their vicinity. Everyone should know this is a "F" rated company with the BBB. Didn't show up, the owner called and said he didn't feel like towing me. This review is basically a complaint about AAA as well for relying on his company. He said his driver was on his way back from Pittsburgh which is roughly 40 minutes away and he didn't want to push his driver. Meanwhile I'm stuck with a broken down car. Pulled a clients car out of a ditch. Somehow found it necessary to use two trucks to pull a ford focus out of a drainage ditch next to her driveway. My client asked them to drop the car in her drive, but they refused. They claimed that the undercarriage was damaged and that state law required them to tow this to a shop. (No such law exists) Cost over $1,500 to get this out of their impound yard. When we got it to a shop, we were informed that there was no damage at all. read more

Towed my truck on a Saturday, pushed taking it to a body shop that I didn't want them to take it to. I insisted they take it to the body shop I wanted them to. Called that body shop on Tuesday for the estimate, they never received the truck. Called the towing company, they said they could not locate my truck. Found it 45 mins later in THEIR OWN GARAGE. They should be lucky I didn't call the police and report that my property was stolen, or call the Attorney General/BBB. One star for actually coming through and doing the job. Only one star for the headache of the experience. The company seems to have a problem with communication.... Car broke down late on a Friday ( alternator). Called AAA and they sent a tow truck driver. Needed the car fixed ASAP so we could continue our journey ( about 2 hours). The tow truck driver said no problem I'll tow you to our shop just 5 miles from here. Its been slow; you will be the first one we work on tomorrow morning. We called the shop the next morning to check on the status of the car only to find that they are closed on Saturdays. They are never open on Saturdays. Ever. But they would see if a mechanic might be able to go in....maybe. ( we called to tow truck driver as well to see what could have happened and his phone was off and no voice mail set up. Convenient. After not hearing back from the shop for a while we were scrambling around calling car dealers trying to find parts to buy to see if we could go back and fix the car... Finally got a call back that a mechanic would go in and the car would be done between 5-6pm. 5pm Saturday we go back to the shop and the car is there unlocked but no one is around. We call a bunch of numbers until finally we reach someone that says they will be there in 30-45 min. 5:30ish pm the shop manager finally shows up gives us the key and we can leave. Car was fixed. Things could have been worse I guess. But seriously a little communication goes a long way. read more

If there was a lower score, I'd give it. While the operator did his job, upon completion referred to me in a very rude, insulting and unnecessary manner. AAA sent them, and I've already filed a complaint with AAA. I've called Tow-Tegrity twice in the past 24 hrs and both times was promised a return call. Never came. And, they told me this operator was their best man. If that's their best, I wouldn't want to deal with their worst. So, as far as I'm concerned, since they didn't bother to return my two calls, they are fine with the way their operator addressed me. Wouldn't use them again if my life depended on it. read more

The good- I have had them come twice. Once for a tow, and once for a flat. The drivers both times who handled my problem were very nice. The job was done right, and they made me feel better about a bad situation. Very helpful. The bad- AAA said they would be 90 minutes to get to me- I can deal with that. But when I bought some fix a flat and tried to limp to a gas station, then called as I was doing this to let them know, the man who answered at the actual garage was pretty unpleasant. He said the driver of the tow truck was right in the area where I was and I should not have moved the car- 1 block away from the inconvenient place where I was. He pretty much read me the riot act for not sitting with my car for what was supposed to be 90 minutes.Why would I try to limp to a gas station when I can sit and freeze in the snow for 90 minutes? What was I thinking??? So I guess again maybe it comes down to communication? Had they told me he was in my area I would have waited in the crowded parking lot where I was. I was in an accident on Penn Ave. (roughly 5-10 blocks from their shop). The driver showed up and was friendly enough. He hooked up my car and then I helped him by driving the car up the bed of the truck. I then had my wife and kids(one who was sick) drive me down to the shop. The driver then tells me to hold on that he needed to go to get another car and left mine on the truck. I sat there for almost a half an hour waiting with my sick child. Then this same driver had the nerve to serve the other customer before me. It was ridiculous. I had the car picked up from their lot less than 10 hours later and they charged me over $800 dollars for a 5-10 block tow. This is outrageous. The company who towed me from their shop in New Brighton to Darlington charged me less than $200. I'm sure if you have AAA then you don't see the cost, but if you have to pay out of pocket, then you are in trouble with this company! I called multiple time to try to speak to the owner to try to negotiate on price and did not ever receive a call back. read more

I recently called AAA for a battery that would barely start my car. TJ came to my home on time, tested the battery and told me he had bad news and bad news. The bad news was that my battery needed replaced. The battery was the original from 2009. He said that it could not be serviced because the battery was located under the passenger seat floor. Told me I had to take it to a garage to have it serviced. While it was running, I took the car to a Chevy dealer for service. Cost me almost $200.00 to replace the battery. The passenger seat was moved all the way forward and the carpet lifted and there was the access panel to replace the battery. I am sure Tow-Tegrity got paid for the service call that lasted all of 10 minutes. This is what I get for having a Premier AAA Membership for 22years. read more

Had an absolutely horrible experience! My car was police towed at an accident (pulled from ditch and not given a choice of tow company as the police called them before even getting out of his car). They also refused to "drop" the car and let my daughter-in-law drive it home, insisting only the owner could retrieve it from their lot - despite it being fully driveable. Upon arrival to retrieve my car I inquired about the legality of the upper end of $400 charge they were trying to have me pay, and requested an invoice for full review of charges prior to paying. Owner began screaming and yelling at me for questiong my rights and their compliance under towing regulations and she actually kicked me out of her store, refusing to provide any invoice and threatening me with criminal trespass! One of the male employees also threatened physical assault against us stating, "touch your car, and see what I do to you". Despite it being state law/tow and tow storage regulations that you have the right to access your vehicle and retrieve any property in it during regular business hours, as well as being allowed to pay for and retrieving your vehicle unless the police have put a hold on it, and prices charged cannot exceed posted maximum. I had to call the police to assist me with paying for and retreiving my vehicle, due to the owners refusal to "let me on her property" all because I exercised my rights as a consumer and were questioning their business practices in alignment to legality of the excessive charges and regulatory compliance. They also insisted cash only, which I believe by law they must accept credit cards. They did lower the price to $325, but thats probably because they would be liable for 4x's the charge if found guilty in a court of law of excessive charges over maximum posted limits. Overall it was the worst experience I have ever encountered in my entire life and have never seen a business nor its employees conduct themselves in such a manner. read more

We called Hyundai Assurance to have our car towed to the dealership. Come to find out Friday morning that the car never arrived. Played phone tag with the 'owner' of Tow-Tegrity for all of Friday, no one else seemed able to help us. Were told our car was at their lot and would not be released until our insurance cut a check or we paid them. Our insurance was not involved. After speaking with Hyundai Assurance and the Hyundai dealership they arranged to pick up our car for us. The 'owner' told us he 'aint got time for dat' when we asked to have our car delivered to the dealership as requested. Customer service is poor, language is worse, attitude is even worse. I hope Hyundai Assurance stops utilizing this company. It took 4 days for our car to arrive to the location it was requested to be towed to. They try and con you and get you to pay for the tow instead of working with the insurance/AAA/dealerships. read more
