Went today, 7/19/25. Our server was great. The restaurant was disgusting. There was food all over the floor from prior customers, the wait staff was using dirty rags to clean tables and a women in a blue t-shirt was yelling at wait staff in front on customers, and I caught her eye as she walked by. My wife and I stopped in last night to try the newest Mexican restaurant in town. Place was empty. We sat at the bar. Chips and Salsa were promptly served, along with cold beers. Thin chips. So thin that the bottom of the basket was all crumbled up. Like eating the last remnants in a potato chip bag. Salsa was very good, nice spice. Server asked if I wanted cheese sauce. Said, "sure". It came out with a thick layer on top. You know how it get's when it's been sitting for awhile? It tasted fine when you dug to the bottom. We started looking over the menu. It was a one page menu, front and back. When the server came back, I commented that is the smallest Menu I had ever seen in a Mexican restaurant. She informed me that this was not a Mexican restaurant, it was a California Baja Mexican grill. A little on the lighter side. What?????? They bring chips and salsa, don't they. Don't California my Mexican! Looked through the menu and was having a hard time figuring out what to try. Found the fish tacos. OK maybe,, until I see the phrase , "Dos Equis Beer Battered Cod". Noticed it on several other menu items. They are proud of their cod. That did it. We are on the Crystal Coast at a restaurant at a famous location (Ruddy Duck) sitting over the water. and you mean to tell me that you're serving "Dos Equis Beer Battered Cod. Ain't no way! You have to do lot better than frozen cod off the USSyscoFood truck. This is not going to cut it when we are surrounded by an abundance of fresh local seafood. "Dos Equis Beer Battered Cod", Come on! So we kindly told the server, thank you very much, we'll pass on the entrees,paid our tab and headed to another restaurant. ......To a place known for fresh local seafood. It was GREAT. read more

Amazing food and excellent customer service - just what my hubby and I were looking for! Highly recommend this place for delicious food, strong drinks (yummo), beautifully decorated atmosphere, and spectacular waterfront views....we delightfully enjoyed the Tres Amigos app, Chimichanga pulled chicken, chicken and ground beef enchiladas! Oh and don't forget to try the Cantanrita margarita - and ask for a side of Mike's Hot Honey for a a little bit of spice in ur life! $24 for the tower 7 burrito which was mainly beans and rice is just criminal. The food had zero flavor and incredibly over priced for what you get. Also, I think our server smiled twice the entire time she helped us. 10/10 wouldn't recommend. read more

Location was amazing!!! Food was the worst Mexican restaurant I've ever been too. From the stale chips, extremely dried refried beans, sweet overly sweet fajitas. The sweet tea was really water down. It was just a disaster except for the out sitting outside by the water was beautiful. read more

My experience at Tower 7 was enjoyable. We had to wait a bit longer than expected for our waitress, but that was completely understandable considering how busy they were due to the Big Rock Tournament. She was extremely kind and helpful once we were waited on, and the wait was enjoyable since we had a wonderful view of the water. First, our chips and salsa came out. The salsa was some of the best I've ever had and the chips were light, crisp, and perfectly salty. Our food did not take long to come out. The plating is gorgeous and portions are huge! Overall, the meal was amazing! My friend did think her shrimp were a bit overcooked and her avocado a bit bitter, and I thought my flounder was battered too heavily, but as I said, just minor things compared to the overall meal... I ate every bite. I would highly recommend if you are in Morehead City (especially if everywhere else is slammed as they had no wait). read more

We absolutely love Tower 7. My and husband and I went to the original one in Wrightsville several years ago. We were so excited to hear they were coming to Morehead City NC and couldn't wait to go. They did not disappoint and we go on a regular basis because the food and service is top notch. Everything is made fresh daily including mixed drinks no mixers which is a must for my husband. This is a copy of my Google review of this restaurant. This is one of my positive reviews. Tower 7 in Morehead City offers a pleasant dining experience that's as delightful as the scenery it provides. The views alone are worth it. My server was a young woman by the name of Cynthia who clearly understands the business. I like her service because she doesn't bother you unnecessarily yet my water or my drinks are always always taken are of. That's all I ask, let me eat in peace, let me enjoy the view, I don't want to chat and please bring me my drinks. Thank you Cynthia for making our dining experience special. 10 /10. Great food, good service, even better atmosphere on the dock seating. Went with a large group and service was excellent, our server Walt never missed a beat. First ordered the guacamole and was delicious. Also ordered were the nachos, Baja fish burrito and chicken enchiladas. Those that ordered the Nachos and enchiladas said they were good. the service was not up to par, the vibes were great with the outside seating option. the vibe it gives off is definitely better than the food. everything we got was very wet? my burrito was dripping liquid before even biting in. rice and beans are terrible. beans straight from a can and rice is just plain white rice. fish tacos were great! fish fresh and crispy! i'd say it's overpriced, food incredibly underwhelming, my nephews chicken tenders and fries were the best thing on the table. and the complimentary chips and salsa. my boyfriends birria tacos were incredibly soggy and flavorless, the "consomé" that was given was literally just pizza sauce. the "spicy" pineapple margarita was terrible, no spice no pineapple going on, just alcohol with a sad jalapeño, that's how i would describe this restaurant as a whole. a drink with a sad jalepeno floating. all our waitress cared about was chatting to the next table instead of bringing our outrageous check. the salsa was great though! read more

Tuesday evening. Crowded but only one bar tender for whole restaurant and to serve food in bar area so very slow (management's fault). Food was slow to come out. This place is exciting for the tourists that come and want to hang out somewhere on the water and drink some good margaritas but if you are looking for Mexican food this isn't the place. This is one of those over priced Tex mex restaurants. If you want the Mexican food experience I would recommend mescalitos in Beaufort or mi cabana in Morehead. Mex express in Morehead is really good and they have the real traditional tacos and tortas. read more

Prime location and absolutely pathetic food. $100 for two people to eat and have 2 drinks each and the food was mediocre at best. Saw some friends leaving when we were going in and they warned us it wasn't worth the effort but we ate anyway. They definitely will not last with this effort. Don't waste your money. Ambiance and location is great. It's a happening and modern venue. However, that's where the good ends. Food was spicy. From the salsa to the queso, they both were too spicy. The entrees were mediocre at best. Ordered tacos with no lettuce and tomatoes, but guess what I got. You guessed it. Lettuce and tomatoes. Out of 8 of us, only half actually ate their dinner. Number one. We have some good Mexican restaurants off the waterfront. I know they just opened, but the service wasn't up to task. And the food was a 2 at best. I don't know what they were thinking opening this place downtown. Bet it's not open by next season. You swung the bat, but missed by a mile. I certainly won't return....ever. There is nothing MEXICAN about this restaurant except the menu. No wait staff, cooks, decor, music, NOTHING. Even the name is a puzzle. Maybe Tower Ocho would be better. The food was good, but portions small compared to other Mexican establishments. There are two authentic Mexican restaurants within driving distance from this one, that are better in my opinion. read more

Really enjoyed my visit to Tower 7. All of the staff were super friendly and my waitress was amazing. The food is fresh and made from scratch once the order was placed. And the margarita that I had at the waitresses suggestion was the best margarita I ever had. She even gave me a coupon to use on my next visit. They are going to begin renovations and the plans for the outdoor deck over the water sounds like it will be a great place to relax with a good drink and watch the view. read more
