Tower Energy's website says: "You won't run out of fuel on Automatic Delivery". I ran out of oil this weekend, twice! We have an automatic refill contract with Tower and they were unable to completely fill our tank last delivery and promised to return to fill the remainder, "soon". Ultimately, they never came back and our tank ran dry leaving us without heat on a Friday in February. I contacted Tower and spoke with the manager. His response to the situation was dismissive, saying there is no need for a filter change or a system check, these run outs "happen all the time". In a situation like this, when a company fails to meet their guarantee, the expectation is the company will go out of its way to remedy it; regardless of the severity. But to have two consecutive failures is simply pathetic. showing a lack of integrity and no desire to stand by their guarantee. Tower Energy has 2.7-star rating on Yelp with 7 reviews in total, 4 of which are 1 star with a detailed explanation of their unique situation. The 1-star reviews had a common thread of Tower not fulfilling their contractual obligation, very similar to my recent experience. I would read the others as well I cannot recommend Tower Energy and advise against it. Research into customer experiences elsewhere. read more

I recently ordered 100 gallons of oil for my tanks before the big snow storm we had. We were told it would get delivered before the storm and then kept getting pushed back. (no big deal we understood they were busy) When they did finally show up the next week they they said they couldn't get the cap off to put the oil in and left. my husband got home and tried and the cap came right off without any elbow grease. they said they would be back the next day. They showed up the next day (Friday) and put the oil in. Well my husband pulled the driveway in from work as they were finishing and had to wait for their truck in the driveway for what seemed like a while for only 100 gallons. As soon as he pulled away my husband went down stairs to our double oil tanks and saw the man filled both tanks. (Over 400 gallons) he immediately called the office and was directed to the emergency line because the were now closed for the weekend. We left a message with the emergency line operator and he said he would let the office know Monday. We told him thank you and by all means come take the oil back. Our original receipt says the order is for 100 gallons and the rate we ordered it at. Our card was charged the following week for that amount and we recieved a confirmation email. I go to check the mail and now have an additional bill for $1,600 for the additional amount at a higher rate. my husband called right away and explained the scenario again to the front desk lady who said they had no idea. She said a manager would call. No manager called, but we did receive a very rude and nasty call from a front desk lady today trying to tell us we need to pay our outstanding balance. My husband explained to her, AGAIN....We were over charged because we only ordered a certain amount and according to her that's not their fault it's our responsibility. He said I would like to speak to a manager, so she put him on hold then came back and said he will be calling you and hung up on my husband. This whole experience has just been terrible with this company. We have told them plenty of times mistakes happen we get it, please come take your oil back. Now to have an attitude with us this is uncalled for. read more

I had All Gas for over 10 years. They were going to charge me over 3 dollars a gallon. I have a 500 gallon tank and use about 1000 gallons a year. This year I did a pre buy with Tower energy and saved over a thousand dollars that All Gas quoted me. read more

Anytime I have needed service they've been here, and right on time. The techs are professional, know their business and get the job done quickly and cleanly. Everyone is have dealt with whether on the phone or in person has been wonderful. I have had a few different oil companies and they are by far the best. Highly recommended! read more

Came in to work this morning in Waterbury to no heat, called tower energy . Technician came out in about an hour witch was amazing on a cold day like today.After checking the roof top unit out he determined we had no gas ( bad gas meter)!!!That took no time at all,it is reassuring to know that they truly have technicians that know their JOB and not parts changers like a lot of companies!! The techs name was JERRY a true talent TOWER is very fortunate to have a tech like him on their starting bench!!! Jerry also helped me get in touch with the gas company and had them out here in 15 minutes! Jerry also made a follow up call to me to check that everything was working properly. Brutal! I used this company for years, and switched to local competitor once I realized their fuel prices are among highest in the state, and by a considerable margin. I reached out on the company's website regarding this, was ignored, despite 20 year loyalty and tanks in two area homes. Their auto-fill program was a dismal failure, as their flawed "degree-day" calculations caused me to lose heat 2x due to empty tank. Thankfully, I was spared any pipes bursting. I needed emergency repairs many times and they were always prompt, especially after hours. Problem was, the "issue" was never really addressed, a component (zone valve, powerhead, nozzle/filter) was merely replaced and my heat was back on. Mark-up is 100% on any components. I finally used a local private competitor, and the initial tune-up was a 6 hour marathon, not the typical 1 hr Plainville oil spends vacuuming the unit. There were so many corroded, aged, incompatible components that should have been replaced over the years. My 30 yr old unit runs like brand new now, I no longer need to keep a bucket beneath the zone valves, and I no longer wake up to a 50 degree home in the middle of February. read more

I would not recommend this company after they broke my gate with the hose and are refusing to assist with the repairs. They also spilled oil all around my boiler and left it. I had to call them up to send a technician back out to do a very half hearted effort of putting some power down to absorb the oil. read more

I Call to order a certain amount of oil ($200 worth) and they want to go ahead and fill the whole tank charge me ($284). I called to find out the girl alana apologize but failed to mention that it was actually ($700) and they would be sending me a ($417) bill when I call she keeps saying I asked for a full tank such a lie!! Then of course I'm upset because I didn't want to pay them that at there high rate. the service manager Michelle doesn't even bother to try to listen because of course they are correct. she puts the owner Nick on the phone and he's about as rude as his staff. But of course he is she told him I threatened to bitch slap her like really??! Had the nerve to threaten me with a lawyer for not wanting to pay for oil I did not order now I have to go thru the hasstle of having them pump it back out or be forced to pay for oil I didn't want to get from them!! Oh but he's willing to work with a payment plan He has the nerve to say well winter's coming your going to need oil anyways. I have ordered oil so many times and this by far has been the worse experience the most rude staff. Don't order oil from them!!! Your gonna be forced to pay more and they just do whatever they want! read more
