The right front tire on our Lincoln MKT looked low. We went to Town Fair Tire in North Haven without first asking for an appointment. They were very busy but agreed to take the car. A few hours later they called to say the tire was damaged beyond repair and we needed a new tire. We said to go ahead and replace the tire. They were to call us when it was ready. Several hours went by. I called and was put on hold "while they checked". After waiting quite a while the call went to voice mail. I was getting very frustrated. We went to Town Fair and found out they had not started to take care of our car. Finally, they took the car in and replaced the tire. When we went to check out, the person at the desk was most apologetic and offered a very nice discount "for our trouble". Mistakes happen, but when the business responds appropriately and in good faith, it makes all the difference in the world. We will continue to use Town Fair Tire and will recommend this location to our friends. read more

In Milford, CT location manager,Gino help me with my tires at Town fair and convinced me to buy them there. I'd love my four tires. My car rides so much smoother and I don't feel the bumps like I did when they were bald, they have lots of tread and are good quality for the price. My one big complaint is when my boyfriend brought the car. They were unloading the tires and I was getting close to the end of the day when they worked on my car and I wanted the alignment done. They charged us for the alignment, !!!!!!! but did not do the alignment!!!!!! if my steering wheel wasn't crooked already and stayed that way I might not have noticed, luckily my mechanic Jack took a ride with me and noticed the car was still going to the left and right I took it back to the shop and they said it must've been an oversight that it was not done!!!! but again I was still charged for it. !!!!I am very upset about this so I'm calling the corporate office tomorrow to hopefully get a refund for my alignment. Supervisor Gino said to give a call to the corporate office and it should be a to-get a refund with no problem. I will let you know if I get a refund. Otherwise, I will not be happy and let this be known Buyers , please to check your vehicles for alignment if the form with tires on it do not come through with all green on it there's a problem. I had some areas with the. Tyrod ends they would not want to loosen fear of breaking them. My mechanic hears that a lot, so therefore my tires will not wear even even with rotation so my mechanic will loosens the Tyrod so then them I can come back and get pass the limit to where it's all green on the paper they give you I have 30 days to do this. The machine looks so new It doesn't look like they use it often so buyers be aware make sure your alignment is done indeed and you get the paper to back it up with the tires on it and what is done if there's red on them not all green get it fix the problem so you can pass and your tires will wear even. Again, I would not have known for my mechanic and for my steering wheel already being crooked from a large pothole. It did get straightened and I am driving straight. I just have to get these Tyrod bolts loosened so they can realign the car and I can pass with all green flying colors and I'm going call corporate tomorrow for my refund. It shouldn't be a problem if it is I will be back on here but that's so good of a review, but overall, it was a great experience with my tires. And the alignment for now. It's been many years since I've been to Town Fair Tire which was always relatively a low stress experience and my visit yesterday was no different. I easily booked my appointment online via their website and got a confirmation text. I was pretty sure I had a nail in one of my tires, as it had very slowly been losing air. I was right and my tire was fixed in under an hour while I waited in their lounge. The flat repair service is still free after all these years but I did have to pay $9.95 plus tax to reset TPS sensor. Definitely worth it and i left satisfied. read more

An update to a previous 5 star review is now 2 stars, I went in on a Monday afternoon after work to order 3 tires and make an appointment for them to be put on and aligned/balanced. They only had 2 of the tires in the store but said they would order the other one and to come back the next day at 3:15 and they would get it all set. The next day when I arrived a different clearly exasperated rolling his eyes and sighing sales guy advised I didn't have an appointment asked me who I had spoken to the previous day and said my 3rd tire wasn't there. He called for the previous guy to come up front and he said "oh the tire never arrived (code for he didn't order it) and it would be about 20 minutes for them to get the tire from Wallingford. I live close by also I said my husband would pick me up and to call me when the car was done. They called at 5:45 we went to pick it up and they advised they didn't have time to align or balance and we would have to bring it back the next day. The next day it gets dropped (lucky my husband was working from home and could do this again)and seemingly all good, the following day low tire pressure light for the tires. So now I'll have to make a 4th trip to Town Fair. At this point I definitely feel as though the store, management of the store has gone downhill I'll have to look elsewhere for tires in the future. read more

Not sure what happened at this location but the customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE! I have been a customer of town fair tire in North Haven for over 20 years & it's steadily going downhill. Wait times (even with an appointment), are HORRENDOUS. You're talking 2-3 hours or MORE, waiting on something simple like a tire rotation or flat fix. And the guys that work there look at you like they have no idea what you're talking about. Almost like they hired anyone to do the job & they're absolutely clueless. If you ask ANY type of question about WHAT was done to your car or WHY it was done, they don't even know how to appropriately articulate a response. All this aside, there's also no direct number to get ahold of anyone! When you call the number it goes to their call center which is one of the most UNPROFESSIONAL call centers i've ever come across. I made a silly new driver mistake -- went over a curb and totally destroyed my tire. AAA had to bring over my car to Town Fair Tire. Amado was exceptionally helpful. He went out in the rain with us to check out the car and explained everything in an understandable way. They didn't have the same tire brand for my car, but he explained that they could put a same size and speed rating tire on the car and do some rotations after a while to make sure everything stays aligned. I'm really thankful for the crew here. I came in after 8:30 a.m. on a weekday after not being able to fill one of my tires. I got helped right away, and the team didn't treat my issue as a minor thing. They were able to replace the valve and recalibrate for under $10 (with tax). I was out of there just over half an hour. At check out, I asked what had been wrong with my tire, and the guy checking me out mentioned that if there was an issue, it was fixed. I later reviewed the invoice itself to understand that the valve was replaced. Not a big deal, but as someone who's less fluent in tires and cars, it would have helped to walk through specifically what was done. I left a company vehicle for 4 tires ( my fleet management company gave them unlimited dollars for repairs) after a flat tire It was a Friday and I expected it would not be ready until Monday as my company rented me a vehicle. They left the car in the lot and never worked on it. On monday afternoon I went to see if the car was done- and they never worked on the car after being fully authorized for 4 tires . Now 5 days later and 3 open working days I was surprised that they had no idea what their responsibility was. Needless to say- When I was learning this I realized my company paid more than $1k for a rental car and had it towed away and my company car fleet management is charging them for all of the extra fees including the rental. I decided to give them another chance to update my review in case I caught them on a bad day last time. Plus, I needed a tire rotation/pressure check and preferred to return to the same location where I had made my tire purchase to keep it consistent. Earlier this week, I called TFT and was surprised to learn that they adopted a central calling operator now to make their appointments rather than speaking directly to the staff at the shop. I had a smooth experience in making my appointment. Today, I had a much better experience with service of my complementary tire change/tire pressure check (one of the perks @ TFT for tire purchase there). The service was completed under an hour (without anything broken or missing this time). I'm not sure if it's because they had more customers at the given time, but there were more workers at the front ready to help out and I appreciated that. I also noticed that they were not as bombarded with taking phone calls likely thanks to the forwarded calls to the central operator which may have improved their service to the store customers. In addition, they have a new a feature where they text you for work completion so you're free to complete errands in between or not have to keep checking with the front desk wondering if your car is ready. I believe I have more confidence and trust in this location again and will definitely come back for future service. I think I will give a 5/5 down the road if their service remains this way. read more

So I went in to get an alignment and rotation, they call me and say my lock lugs are stripped. Thats ok they are old. An hour after that call i get my car back with one bolt snapped and 4 missing lug nuts on my tires. They didn't even do any work to the car they just left it and didn't give me back my lock lugs, i know they were stripped but i would've still liked them back. 1/8/20 I needed new sneakers for my 2010 Nissan Frontier, so I went on Town Fair Tire's website & selected what best suited my needs. When I went in to make the actual purchase, the young man who assisted me said they could get those tires later that day, but he had a Cooper Tire with a similar tread on hand for the same price. I actually preferred Coopers over my selection, but didn't see them listed for my truck on their web site. He said they aren't on the site. Anyway, we did the paperwork, and he said it would be about an hour & a half wait, with other customers ahead of me. That was fine. I'd go next door and have lunch at Popeyes to kill time. They also have a small lounge area with a tv & free coffee. I returned about 1-1/4 hours later, sat in the lounge area, and watched on the monitor of the shop area as they were just finishing up my truck, & backing it out of the service bay. Service was spot-on, price was within reason, and done exactly on time. Can't ask for more. read more

NEVER AGAIN! Two weeks ago: I buy 2 new tires. Fair price, great! Employee who runs the machine that does balancing went home early. Okay, it happens. One week ago: I drive to this store with an appointment for balancing. I arrive promptly at 5 pm, wait 20 mins., before someone comes out to tell me...you guessed it! He went home early again. "I had an appointment" Worker: "I know. Sorry. Call us next week, okay?" Annoyed that someone would so irresponsibly waste customer's time like this. "Come back next week, we'll get you taken care of." NOW: "We can't balance your tires. The machine says they won't move correctly. Take your car to a mechanic, have him do this, this, this and this, then bring it back to us...for an FOURTH APPOINTMENT!!?? and we'll get you taken care of..." :0 $700!! That is the estimate of the additional work my mechanic should just "do", before the workers at town fair tire can help me now. Yeah, I don't think so. WHAT!!!!!??? I. WILL. NEVER. AGAIN! I had an issue with my tire pressure & tire sensor. Amado personally took care of me this time. He adjusted the pressure in 2 of my tires & reset the codes in my system so the tire sensor warning would be reset. I have an older car so the warning light goes off intermittently due to no effect. It didn't cost me anything & Amado was extremely personable & helpful. He's very upbeat & seems highly motivated in making sure customers are more than content. read more

I have been a town fair believer for many years. But on my last visit I got a set of 4 new tires. I had to return because they did not put valve caps on any of the tires. The a few weeks later I had my car at the dealer and they showed me that the directional tires I purchased at town fair were mounted in the wrong direction. I've only used them once but it was a good experience. I needed a new tire due to a nail and I went in on a Saturday morning and had my car back two hours later. They are in a strip mall at the end. Plenty of parking right in front of the store front. The staff were really nice and accommodating. They don't just fix flats, they also do tires and alignments. Wonderful experience here at the North Haven Town Fair. Called and spoke to Louis and told him I needed two tires and the exact tires I wanted. He said no problem I don't have them in the store but I can get them today and you can come in this afternoon to have them put on. He didn't try to sell me some other tire or tell me I had to wait three days like other places. I arrived at 4:00 and the guys at the desk were nice and friendly and for started on my car right away. I asked about price match and again, no problem and they price matched another local place down the street and I saved $40. I was outta there in a little under one hour. I couldn't believe how fast friendly and efficient each employee was. I can't say enough nice things about all of them, from Louis, to the guy who installed tires to the guy who rang me out. Excellent service! I dropped my car off to have my free 5k rotation. I was treated very well, everyone was friendly, answered my questions and got right to work. They told me it would be about an hour so I walked down the street to run some errands and get a bite to eat. about 35 minutes later i walked back intending to sit down and wait for the remaining few minutes and my car was all ready to go. The tires felt good, no pull, no drift. I haven't had any problems and I'll definitely keep going there. read more
