Ricky Sprague, the owner of Generations Custom Homes, was so moved by my story and angry that an elderly widow had been taken advantage of, that he promised to take on the work, despite having a full workload and worked with me to keep costs as low as possible, given how large the job was. His crew arrived when promised and worked diligently and expertly to repair-- and in two cases to completely rebuild--the decks, so that the work could be mostly complete before I had to leave. Ricky kept me informed of issues that arose, particularly those that would increase the workload and the costs and offered solutions that were elegant and worked with my constrained budget. He and his crew completed the work in little over two months, cleaned up the site, and got it inspected. The estimate was close to the final cost of the deck. He scheduled it about 4 months out because he was booked with other jobs until late summer but he started on time and completed on plan. This was a complete replacement including footings and framing. His work is impeccable and it shows in the results. While attaching the frame to the house he had to remove some siding and found some rotted wood. He replaced that and the siding so the house wall is like new. He also ordered the materials, arranged for deliveries and removed the old deck and waste from the site. He talked with me throughout the job about progress and any issues or design decisions. I'm very pleased with the deck and privacy fence and would hire him again for other construction jobs and I give him the highest recommendation.

Dishonest scammers! Had the service team come out to replace the insulation in my stove (which they…read moresaid they do when I stopped in to ask in person) but they didn't have the replacement insulation with them when they came. Instead of calling me or saying they can't when I made the appointment, they showed up knowing they couldn't do any work and charged me $140 for the service call. Waste of time and money for absolutely nothing! While at my house they told me I could order stove insulation on Amazon and cut it to size, which tells that it's a universal standard and not some unique part for my stove. They either didn't want to do the work so they said they didn't have it so they could go home early, or they knew in advance so they could scam me. Can't believe how dishonest this local business is. And the cherry on top is they said they would call me in the morning to give me an estimated time of when they would come but I never got a call. I called them around 11 to find out and they said between 2-4, they showed at 4:15. I waited all day for them just to be scammed This happened 3 months ago and today they sent me an invoice for service. If you want to go through the hell-hire with Eaton Elmer B and Son....They supposed to install a…read moretoilet(and did it awfully bad),shower(and could not do it right and the shower was leaking in every possible place and THEY had to hire other people to install a new one instead the one I had bought and they ruined),to install a pedestal sink and did not have any clue how to do that and Had to re-install it (3!!!)times),to install a heater (they did but the chimney was full of ashes and they never mentioned it ),to install radiators (they did but red pipes looked wired and I had to quarel with them about putting white covers around red pipes,they left piles of trash and cigaret butts in my basement and in a month pipe holders started to fall off the basement ceiling because they were broken durring installation .I even do not want to tell you about installation of the gas stove and instead white silicone they used clear and so on...I have pictures of all" masterpieces" mentioned above and I had to buy tape recorder and recored every minute of communication with EEBS representatives because they tryed to accuse me in threatening to kill one of them-I was lucky that that day a Home Deport guy worked in my house and heard the conversation...It was a night horror for my money!
