Absolutely adorable local market with a variety of items and baked goods. On our recent visit to the area, we went a couple of times to find locally made gifts that benefit the local schools and community. I picked up a cute baby beanie for my friend's soon to be born son, and the note on it says it helps the local students with travel. There is also a large wine selection and lots of local beer, as well as jams, syrups, canned goods, snacks, and other goodies. It is cash only, but there is an ATM with a $2 fee on top of your bank fee. I wish we could have gotten the ice cream, but we were full. My understanding is that we were there on the last seasonal day for it, so if you have a hankering for it and it's open, I would suggest getting some. In the meantime, the baked goods are a chef's kiss! I have to give a nod to the friendliest ladies working there too. What an absolute delight! read more

This market is delightful - everything, in fact, that you want a small family owned market to be. Lots of homemade offerings, a well-edited selection of groceries with an emphasis on local flavors and brands, and an assortment of gifts and home goods. Everything was cash, which is an effort of the owners to keep costs low (those cc processing fees add up!). Our sandwiches were perfect and we loved our shakes. I also stocked up on jams and other treats to take home. We'll definitely shop here when we come back to Acadia! read more

A true island gem, has that nice small town store feel. so many food options for grab and go or ordering ahead. sandwiches are awesome, baked goods are fresh, coffee is always good, and the staff are friendly. Has many nice seating options around the front of the building to sit and enjoy. Quite possibly the best spot on the island for lunch if you don't have a lot of time, just remember to bring cash! read more

I've had many a great sandwich at this market. You have to remember cash only which is fine. We've been going here for years and it's always good. Today I grabbed a chicken salad roll up from the case and it was a mistake. I don't want mushy chicken salad. I want chunks of chicken, some crunchy celery and yes, Mayo. What i got was mushy Mayo with a little chicken and a lot of garlic in a wrap that was beginning to fall apart. My husbands turkey sandwich was outstanding so I'll forgive this one time issue. I'm sure there are those who might like this wrap. read more

Awesome place to stop when you are heading on or off the island! Great wine selection, beer, liquor. Nice selection of grab and go items- you could cater an instant party. AMAZING pies! Don't forget the Morton's Moo ice cream to go with your pie which they also carry in the freezer case and which is THE BEST around. Holy booze, Batman! Not that there is anything wrong with that. There may have been some booze on the counter when I checked out. It was just less market and more booze than I was expecting. It was a good selection of booze as well. Very friendly staff, clean place. From what I could see they will make sandwiches and pizzas for you as well as have some already made up for sale. Coffee was also available as well as most grocery and toiletry essentials. Nice place to have around, especially during the off-season. read more

Don't go here if you do not have cash. They have lots of hand written, cash only signs everywhere on fluorescent paper. Naturally, I do not read them and hand the cashier my card and promptly get the spiel. I then have to use the ATM in the store, pay the fee, and tell the cashier I am not very observant. After a $2 feee from the ATM and a $5 fee from my bank, I now have cash to pay $9 for two slices of pizza and a Monster energy drink. They also did not have any white Monsters, which are the best flavor. My wife states the pizza was delicious. read more

You will feel like a traveler and not a tourist with a stop here. Very very good breakfast choices (bagels or English muffins with ham or sausage as well as a lot of pastry) and excellent lunch choices (great selection of sandwiches and wraps). Really good selection of liquor and beer for such a small place. Also decent size market with a good selection of snacks and whatnot. Really convenient location for heading to the trails and bar harbor. Also great for us because we were staying right across the street! Breakfast sandwiches are fresh and they keep some heated if you don't make it there before 10. Other sandwiches are amazing and on fresh yummy bread. They have pretty much anything a traveler would need and also a huge selection of booze. You'd never know how big the store is standing from the front. I found the prices to be a little more than expected but the quality makes up for it a little. read more

Stopped by this cute store at 3:00 for a sandwich and we were quickly told they close at 4:00 and wouldn't be able to make a sandwich. The suggestion was to buy a sandwich they had previously made that morning! They have lost our business as we will never return. We are from Maine and frequent the area.
