Shortly after arriving, I noticed a water bottle refill station inside the museum and refilled my water bottle there. While quietly viewing an exhibit with my family, we were suddenly approached in a very loud and confrontational manner by a female staff member who stated, "Ma'am, ma'am! There is no food or drink allowed in the museum. You either need to leave or throw your water bottle away." I was surprised by both the tone and the interaction, especially considering the museum itself provided the refill station inside the building. I explained that I had filled the bottle there, but was told that people are apparently expected to "refill their bottles and then leave the museum to drink from them," which honestly made very little sense. Because I am pregnant, I asked if I could simply keep the bottle closed while inside, rather than repeatedly separating from my family whenever I became thirsty. She reluctantly agreed, but after that interaction, staff members continuously followed my family throughout the museum for the remainder of our visit, seemingly monitoring whether I drank water. What should have been an enjoyable family outing became extremely uncomfortable and unenjoyable. Being closely followed from exhibit to exhibit over a closed water bottle felt excessive and unnecessary, especially under the circumstances. Unfortunately, the experience left my family and I not wanting to return. I truly hope future guests are treated with more kindness, professionalism, common sense, and dignity.

It's additional to do meet and greet with the farm animals. The total was $40 per person for our visit on a weekend. Once arrived, farmer Mike greeted us and walked us through the farm. They have donkeys and goats from Stardust Sanctuary you can see but cannot pet. We got to see pigs, bunnies, babydoll sheep, and highland cows. Farmer Mike was really patient with all the little ones on the tour and made sure to give precautions (don't chase the animals, etc). Overall we had a great time, at the end, farmer Mike even brought a baby pig for us to see and pet. Definitely an experience that is great for children, but my husband and I still enjoyed the tour.

The highlight of the experience was the owner's son, who led our tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about the animals. He answered questions thoroughly and did a great job engaging the group. Unfortunately, there was very little direct interaction with the animals, which was what we were most looking forward to. I understand this wasn't the farm's fault, but one parent allowed their child to repeatedly chase and disturb the animals, which made them understandably nervous and less willing to interact. It definitely affected the experience for everyone else. My biggest concern was the pricing. We paid over $100, yet others in our group paid much less and appeared to receive the exact same experience. That left us feeling like we didn't get good value for the amount we spent, especially since we chose this as a special birthday outing. Overall, the staff was wonderful, but for the price, I expected a more interactive experience. Like petting the animals. Because of that, I probably wouldn't return.

A breakfast buffet was set up in the Juniper atrium up the stairs, with fresh fruit, sausage links, potatoes, and scrambled eggs, along with a beverage station offering coffee, tea, and juice. Tables were arranged nicely, and it's a beautiful open space with lots of natural light, though a bit echoey if trying to hear announcements in the room or any kind of communication with the large group. Presentations were held in the Tahoe auditorium with clean and comfortable lime green seats facing the stage and much better sound than in the atrium. We used at least a couple different rooms during the conference, but it looked like they have so much more to offer. Such a lovely venue, with multiple lounge seating areas, along with lake views out back and access to Lake Annabel just steps away. Water features create an inviting setting at the front entrance coming from the parking lot as well, with lots of greenery and adorable waterbirds on site. Parking was free and plentiful, too. Just a great event space altogether.

I always wanted to visit the house, but it only recently opened to the public has a house museum. I was fortunate to be able to join a small group for a private tour. As soon as we were met by a Docent in period dress the mood was set. Walking over the bridge to the house she started to tell the history of the Glass Family and the Valley as it was in 1877. Stepping though the door is really a step back in time. The nine room house is decorated as it would have been when the Glass family lived there. Everyone of the nine rooms was clean and not a bit of dust could be seen on the many knickknacks that the Victorians adorned their homes with. Everything in the house is original to the period. While the rugs, wallpaper, and some of the fabrics on furniture are new, they are all period reproductions. The knowledge that the two docents, Pat and Kim, shared was amazing. In addition to the story of the Glass family and the San Ramon Valley, they peppered their talk with some CA. history. I came away with even more of an appreciation of women in the 19th century working in those long dresses There is a connection between the Glass family and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Staying here was a last minute decision that turned out to be a bad choice. Things are not what…read morethey seem at this brand location. I want to give an honest review and let others know how it really is to stay here. This location operates and presents like family run hotel, not a Hyatt Brand. Everything is cheap or low budget, except for the pool. We needed to take a quick trip to the Bay Area to see a theatre show in Martinez. I checked reviews and rates and this location came up as an option. Price, location to the theatre venue, Yelp Ratings, Yelp Reviews, and the pool is what helped me decide on this place. We called ahead as we were arriving later than planned 12a, because of travel challenges. The person on the phone was assured us that someone would be there. They gave us instructions for very late check in. We arrived and the person at the front desk granted us access inside. He was able to assign us a room and offer additional bedding if the room did not have it for the sofa sleeper. We did end up needing the additional bedding, so we made yet another trip downstairs to get it. We had problems. It was 12:30a and the room keys did not work. We went down to the front desk 3-4 times to try to get it mitigated. The front desk person was only able to get one of the room keys to work so we had to use that one key to get our luggage up, park the car, and navigate at 1:30a to get situated in the room. The next day the hotel staff was able to get us 2 of 3 room keys working, very inconvenient. The room was OK. It was setup ok, but the carpet, TVs, and appliances are dated. The sofa sectional is modern but cheap. The TV remotes never properly worked fully. There is a king bedroom, with french doors to separate the living room sectional seating area; which also includes the kitchenette. Overall, the carpet was aesthetically disappointing. The TVs are also dated. The bathroom is a standup shower no tub, and a toilet, with the vanity as a walkthrough next to the king bed. The bathroom vanity is very dated but clean. There are not enough towel racks or hooks for 3 people to stay here. We were doomed next to the stairwell of the hotel. All hours of the night loud banging noises of people and children walking and screaming and jumping up and down the staircase behind our King bedroom. Pros: Pool is very nice, In and Out across the street, free breakfast daily 6a-9a, kitchenette is decent, lighting is decent in rooms Cons: Dated, needs refresh, hallway carpets are bland and unappealing, breakfast is cheap and not tasty, lots of spider webs in the window corners in room, room key system doesn't work well. Parking is packed.

Everything is clean and well-maintained. All of the amenities worked as designed and service is friendly. The location is also great -- super close to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. My only criticisms would be trivial things like: minor tearing on carpet and a room that felt a little cramped/generic.
