I saw this place on social media and decided to come check it out with my husband. The reservation process was easy, you have to text the farm and send payment to reserve your spot. It's additional to do meet and greet with the farm animals. The total was $40 per person for our visit on a weekend. Once arrived, farmer Mike greeted us and walked us through the farm. They have donkeys and goats from Stardust Sanctuary you can see but cannot pet. We got to see pigs, bunnies, babydoll sheep, and highland cows. Farmer Mike was really patient with all the little ones on the tour and made sure to give precautions (don't chase the animals, etc). Overall we had a great time, at the end, farmer Mike even brought a baby pig for us to see and pet. Definitely an experience that is great for children, but my husband and I still enjoyed the tour. read more

We took our 4 year old here for his birthday, and while we enjoyed parts of the visit, we left feeling like it wasn't the best value for what we paid. The highlight of the experience was the owner's son, who led our tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about the animals. He answered questions thoroughly and did a great job engaging the group. Unfortunately, there was very little direct interaction with the animals, which was what we were most looking forward to. I understand this wasn't the farm's fault, but one parent allowed their child to repeatedly chase and disturb the animals, which made them understandably nervous and less willing to interact. It definitely affected the experience for everyone else. My biggest concern was the pricing. We paid over $100, yet others in our group paid much less and appeared to receive the exact same experience. That left us feeling like we didn't get good value for the amount we spent, especially since we chose this as a special birthday outing. Overall, the staff was wonderful, but for the price, I expected a more interactive experience. Like petting the animals. Because of that, I probably wouldn't return. read more

Love this place, we did a tour and the owner gave us the personal tour of the whole farm, we got to meet all the animals, feed them, andddd play in the giant sand pit, my son was obsessed and on our way out we stopped at the farm store and got some goodies. Soooo much fun and we will be back. Also to mention this was probably the cleanest and non smelling farm I had ever been too. Come and visit. It's worth it for the kiddos! read more

They have a lovely local farm stand on-site where I found the most beautiful pumpkin, along with a wonderful selection of local favorites -- fresh honey, artisan coffee, and delicious sourdough bread. Fun fact the owner was a florist and does arrangements for the farm stand. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and incredibly family-friendly. The property also features Stardust Sanctuary, offering the perfect photo opportunity with the sweetest animals in the background. For Mother's Day, my family visited this beautiful farm and enjoyed a tour around the grounds. We had such a wonderful experience! Our guide was incredibly kind, and we got the chance to pet and feed sheep, alpacas, and cows. There were also horses, ducks, and donkeys to see throughout the farm. You can truly tell the animals are well cared for and loved. My family had an amazing time, and seeing how impressed my nephew was with all the animals and the kids area made the day even more special. Highly recommend this precious farm! read more

This is a amazing little farm, right off Marsh Creek road, not far from Clayton. I've passed probably dozens of times, on my way back to Brentwood and only just discovered it last month when they hosted, in partnership with Stardust Sanctuary (located on the property) a wonderful yoga class. The grounds are peaceful and there's a small farm stand with local goods as well as events they host. Now that I know it's there, I hope to stop by their farm stand again. They'll have a sign out on Marsh Creek saying if it's open or not. They do take Venmo or Zelle at the stand. Check out their socials for events and info on the farm-they even have a Christmas market this weekend! Sadly, no pics as I was too in the moment enjoying the sanctuary and their lovely grounds. Writing a review as an event photographer. This place is a hidden gem! The event was for a Pilates/Wellness event with post workout animal visits! - not too many venues let visitors interact with the animals on location so this was very exciting! -very cute and well stocked self service market (I bought granola and loved it) -there was staff onsite and visible (which to me is a good sign!) -the variety of animals was amazing and they all looked so healthy! Alpacas, chickens, cows, horses, a donkey, pigs, and even cats! - so many chances for beautiful photos - I loved the contrasts of beautiful brown hills to the green trees across from each other. Me and my partner left the event looking for an excuse to have an event here. Looking at the prices I appreciate the transparency and (in my opinion) affordable prices. read more

This venue is so so stunningly beautiful. They did such a good job with it. It costs $20 to get in and you will need a reservation, but once you get in you can bring your own picnic or enjoy their farmstand snacks. Our kids absolutely loved it! I wish I wasn't already married because it's the perfect wedding venue. The owner is soo nice and takes a lot of pride in his family's business and property, and it shows in the details. We had our wedding at Clayton Valley Farms and it was truly the most beautiful, unforgettable day! From the moment we arrived, the venue took our breath away. The grounds are stunning--lush greenery, open skies, and a peaceful charm that feels both elegant and down-to-earth. It provided the perfect backdrop for both our ceremony and reception. The bridal suite and groom's suite were absolutely stunning. They were spacious, beautifully designed, and gave us such a comfortable place to get ready and enjoy those special pre-ceremony moments. The accommodations were amazing and made us feel so cared for throughout the day. Michael and Jamie were absolutely wonderful to work with. They were attentive, professional, and so accommodating, making sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. I never once felt stressed about the details on the day-of because they were right there ensuring everything flowed perfectly. Our guests are still talking about how gorgeous the space was and how magical the atmosphere felt. The farm setting created such a warm and intimate vibe while still feeling spacious enough for everyone to relax and celebrate. If you're looking for a venue that's naturally beautiful, well cared-for, and managed by a team who genuinely wants you to have the best experience possible, I can't recommend Clayton Valley Farms enough. As an event and hospitality professional, in the industry for over 20 years, I am providing this review because I genuinely feel that feedback is a gift. We recently visited Clayton Valley Farms and left feeling disappointed with the overall experience, especially considering the cost. Upon arrival, there was no clear signage indicating where "General Admission" guests should go, which made the check-in process confusing. We did run into a staff member who scanned our tickets and gave a 30 second overview of the property. To make matters more awkward, there appeared to be a private event taking place during our visit, and it honestly felt like we were intruding. The animal experience itself was very limited. There was essentially one small walking path that allowed visitors to see what seemed to be all of the animals. We saw a handful of goats, a couple of donkeys, and a few horses. One of the main reasons we visited was to see the Highland cows and alpacas, but they were so far away that we couldn't get a good look at them. Granted we did not pay for the VIP experience, but everything I read/saw on Instagram showed kids feeding animals so we also were under the impression we could pay for feed when we arrived. In total, we spent about 25 minutes on the property before feeling like we had seen everything there was to see. At $64 for admission for three of us, we expected a bit more engaging and interactive experience. Unfortunately, we left feeling that the visit did not provide enough value for the price and wishing there had been more to do and more opportunities to interact with or view the animals. As for an event venue, it was a gorgeous setting and likely a perfect place for a baby shower, birthday party, etc. so definitely check them out for events! read more

Just had our son's birthday party here and absolutely loved this venue! All the kids loved feeding the chickens and seeing all the other farm animals! The property is gorgeous! I'm just externally processing my own humiliation so take this with a grain of salt, but they really need to put up a sign that says "not open to the public". They do have a very cute sign that says "farmers only beyond this point", and on the reverse side, it says "private event". Because of the cuteness of it, I assumed they were being cute with "farmers only" and it meant like, just people no cars. For context-- the only other posted signage are signs on each parking space that say "guest parking" and another one that says "farm stand open today". So I came at about 930 this morning and walked in with my toddler. It was delightful we pet the horses played on the park and wandered the garden. I was thinking this is the most amazing place ever! I even ran into, I don't want to call anyone out, but a family member who lives in the home. At no time during the interaction with this person was, I told that I was on private property. I even said this place is so cool, I'm going to bring my whole family back! Fast-forward to me, bringing my whole family back. We all waltz onto these people's private property on the playground (again, very public looking with lots of signage that says play at your own risk, unsupervised) one lady walked past us without saying anything, then another lady who I now assume is a farmer seemed shocked that we were playing there and treated me like I was intentionally trespassing into someone's backyard. Anyway, it was humiliating. I apologized, felt very stupid, and dragged my three confused kids away from this park that I had really worked up as being quite magical. Bummer. So don't be misled by the description. This is not a kids play area. This is an event venue. read more
