Finding roaches in a hotel room is not a minor inconvenience--it is a serious sanitation and health concern. Roaches can carry bacteria, contaminate belongings, and are often a sign of a larger infestation. We found roaches in our room on arrival, which immediately made us question the cleanliness and safety of the entire property. At first, the staff refused to switch our room. When they finally moved us, it was to a smaller room, yet we were still charged the original 1-bedroom suite rate. They only offered a discount for 1 of our 3 nights despite the severity of the issue. To make matters worse, we found another roach in the new room as well. That confirmed this was not an isolated issue with just one room, but potentially a larger property-wide problem. Because of this, we now have to go home and unload all of our laundry outside, then thoroughly clean and disinfect all of our luggage and belongings to make sure we don't bring an infestation into our home. I want to be fair and say that we were polite and respectful throughout the entire interaction, and the staff we spoke with were polite as well. We did not make unreasonable demands or cause a scene. My disappointment comes from the fact that I expected management to treat this like the serious issue it is and go above and beyond to make things right, but that simply didn't happen. Management's overall response felt like "oh well," with little urgency, accountability, or meaningful effort to resolve the situation. This traveler friendly hotel is very close to State Route 14, the major North-South highway in the Antelope Valley. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The property is clean and well kept and lends itself to a good night's sleep and overall relaxation. There are plenty of amenities in this well-run hotel. Speaking with the General Manager, Melina Orozco-Rios, was very pleasant and experience enhancing. We're looking to stay here, God willing, in the near future. Towne Place Suites by Marriott is an place to rest in-between your journeys in the Antelope Valley, or if you're in transit. Do yourself a favor and stay here. read more

Had a great three night stay at the Towne Place Suites Marriott in Lancaster a few weeks ago with my husband and pup. We stayed in a Studio room with a King-sized bed. Plenty of room for the three of us, which made a nice place to call home for several days. Our room had a small kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, kitchen sink, microwave, and small stove. Kitchenware was available in the room to accompany these amenities. The room also had a large desk and work space which was fantastic for attending to work needs while away. There was a couch for lounging with a separate television in both the 'living room' area as well as in the main bedroom. Plenty of outlets to accommodate the many devices we all live by and need to charge. Breakfast was served every morning and had a decent mix of hot items like eggs, breakfast meat, waffles, oatmeal, etc. as well as cereal and prepackaged pastries. Breakfast was served in a small area adjacent to the check in/lobby area and had several tables and chairs for guests to eat if they didn't want to bring their food upstairs. Staff was friendly and helpful. All common areas and our room seemed clean. We had a great stay at the Town Place Suites in Lancaster. No issues with the room and we felt very comfortable and safe. Definitely plan to return the next time we find ourselves in the Lancaster area. read more

This place had high hopes but it's one issue after another. We were placed in a room we previously had, one which had problems with the tv, the internet connection. The bathroom light was also out this time. We called and notified the front desk no less than 30 min after we got in. We went back and forth on whether to say something but not being able to connect the tv in the bedroom was not going to work. We let the front desk know and thankfully they had maintenance there. He went over, friendly guy, and he couldn't fix it either, at least not a quick fix. We were then moved to another room. I will say, although on average we only stay one night, we don't pack much, but having to move rooms after settling down is not fun. I drive an hour and a half to get there. I just want to relax. No issues with lights and the tv worked fine. Until we turned the AC in the bedroom. While watching tv it was annoying but we didn't say anything. Trying to sleep in this? (See video) not a fan. It's loud. The room they had us in first had the same thing, we just didn't complain. We couldn't sleep and it sounded like we were in a rocket-ship. If they kept up with maintenance when issues first come up, I'm sure things would be better. We'll be trying out the other hotels. Or just simply finding another city. read more

This was a very comfortable and well-appointed hotel room. There is a studio-sized refrigerator, a stovetop, and even kitchen utensils and pans. The room was big enough for our family of four to stretch out a bit, with a couch and a dining table. While we didn't try out the service, there were games available to check out. Breakfast was a good variety of warm and cold food and included in the price. Every staff member with whom we interacted seemed friendly and engaged. read more

We were driving out to the boondocks of Ridgecrest so we spent the night at this hotel. The room felt like a small apartment with all the amenities a renter would find. We had a nice comfortable sleep and in the morning they provide breakfast and coffee is available 24/7 which is big plus. read more

I experienced too many issues with the hotel on this trip. I reserved two rooms, I was charged for three rooms. First I was charged for two rooms by Booking.com then I was charged for an additional room by TownPlace Suites. Today I received a call from Jessica at the front desk advising they forgot to charge me for incidentals and I needed to pay an additional $40 (20/ea for two rooms). She said her manager informed her of this. I asked to speak to her manager. Of course, the manager is not here. I swiped my card to pay the additional $40. So now I am short $370 (additional room) + $40 (incidentals) =$410.00 extra hold on my account. This is not a good look on the hotel. What a way to start my thanksgiving holiday. read more

We were checked in my Mykall, thinks that how she spells her name. She wasn't customer friendly because I was always redirected to someone who wasn't there. Basically she could do nothing. We haul freight for a living so we frequent hotels and need parking to accommodate our extended load. All questions asked she wasn't helpful and showed no interest . My husband saw a gentleman in the building without a shirt and mask just walking around and of course Mykall could care less. So never was he asked his living quarters or asked to uphold the sign posted before entry stating to wear a mask. Later on that night I hear a load noise coming from my room of 329 being able to look at our truck and trailer. I see the same guy in the back of our truck trying to break into our tool box. I clicked the lock switch and he jumped out and ran across the parking lot. Now had Mykall did her job and called the police or questioning the guy walking around then maybe this could have been avoided. So it's safe to say we will not return to the Alexander location . read more

I am a 20yr titanium member. Have checked into this hotel multiple times early. As long as they have a room I am accommodated. Today manager Brandon Gidson with a flat face told me I either pay the early check in addition charge or wait until 3pm. Mind you the room was available. No customer service what do ever. It was the cost and paying. There was no customer service. I'm not just someone booking a room. I am a long time member both hotel and vacation club side. When I'm on the road for work I tend to choose this name of Hotel for my stays. Kind of like a home away from home filling in a way. When I checked in in the evening I guess service was friendly and the check in process was seamless. There is a continental breakfast offered as well from 6 AM to 9 AM. They have a 24 hour coffee bar downstairs. Pool is located outdoors but it is heated. There is also laundry service and ice machine on the first level. I enjoyed the fact that our stay here was peaceful and quiet no troubles outside or inside they do also have security on the property. read more

Pros: This pet friendly hotel has a well equipped kitchenette that made my one night Stay convenient. I was able to store my food safely and restock my ice chest with ice (Hanna had my back) . The room was very clean (thanks to Ilisa and Hanna again!). The bar is beer and wine, the food was enough variety to keep 5 adults happy, and they said they would expand more soon! That bartender Aleeya (sp?) busted her tail rolling out our sliders and nachos like a pro and the food was really good so thanks to that cook as well. The vibe was construction and business class so there was a group of guests Grilling. They invited us to join and gave us cookies. I know the hotel didn't arrange that but it was very social and I enjoyed it. the front desk team were great despite the credit card system being down when I arrived. The EV charger worked without hitch which isn't always the case. cons: The mattress is hard on the bones. Minimal padding on a basic mattress. Stiff and hurts hips and shoulders. The EV rate was very high in my experience. They are marking that up too high and I'll only use it for the bare minimum or urgency when I come through town. Bakersfield and Mojave isn't that far away to charge fast and cheap. read more

This place was the perfect place to stay when I had a loved one at the hospital near by. The kitchen and fridge in the suites were perfect for the longer stay and the staff keeps everything clean and are the friendliest! This whole town is friendly. Highly recommend! read more

We were there for 2 nights for a softball tournament where teams from all over the state came to play. The weather was 90+ each day and my daughters played several games each day. We came to our hotel Friday night after being on the field almost the whole day with an early morning the following day. The patio area closed at 10 or 10:30 we arrived at 10:00 and there was a group of parents on the patio drinking and playing music they were clearly past their limit and they were yelling and being very loud. Upon our arrival we asked if they could shut it down and ask them to turn off their music AGAIN our room was right next to the patio just feet away. Another woman overheard us and said she just asked the employees the same thing. After our showers and trying to wind down they were still out there playing music drinking alcohol and playing loud music my husband went out again to speak with an employee and the night manager basically gave my husband the run around. My daughters were not able to sleep so I had to go out for a third time and again the night shift manager was just giving me excuses. im in my pajamas late at night requesting they do their job and she is giving me attitude. Mind you the night before Thursday night my daughters along with a few other friends were kicked out of the pool 5 minutes after closing you mean you can enforce your rules on children that are enjoying a swim but cannot enforce your rules for your patio on drunk adults that were disturbing the peace and several of your paying customers. The rooms were $250+ as well per night so this was completely unacceptable and i would not waste my money on this poorly managed store. read more

This has got to be the noisiest Marriott property I have ever stayed at. The automobile and motorcycle traffic is almost unbearable especially if you are on the north east corner of the building. Additionally, it sounds as if other guests are goose-stepping across the ceiling in the floor above my room. With people slamming doors multiple and multiple times throughout the evening and the construction workers leaving their trucks running in the morning while they get coffee and breakfast, the was not a restful place. I worked 12-hour days only to come back to a noisy hotel. The wind blows here a lot and howls through cracks and crevices around the windows. The breakfast is prepackaged breakfast sandwiches that aren't even warm all the way through. Grabbed one as I headed out the door to go to work and when I bit into it a mile down the road it was cold and still nearly frozen inside. With no option to heat it, I had no breakfast that morning. As a "guest" for nearly three weeks, I was not really impressed with housekeeping who threw away personal items I intended to save that were no where near any garbage source. The parking lot is crowded and the spaces are small with not a lot of options when the hotel is full. I had to keep my room around 65 to 66 degrees in hopes the refrigerator would cool down to around 40 degrees at night. Freezer worked well. On the other side of the coin, the rooms are what you would expect for a 7-year old TownPlace Suites. Maintenance has done a good job maintaining the facility and keeping it in good repair. I did enjoy having an actual oven for a change. It allowed me different options for meal preparations than just a stove top or just a microwave. For the most part the desk clerks are cheerful and helpful, almost too helpful. One clerk was always trying to anticipate what I was there for instead of waiting for me to ask the question. I will not stay at this Marriott property whenever I return to this town nor will I recommend it to anyone visiting this area. read more

I arrived at the hotel after a long day of travel and work to discover they had cancelled my reservation due to being full. Likely because they could get a higher rate from someone else because they weren't booking through SAP Concur. Stayed here for 4 days with the family. Stayed in a double queen studio room. Hotel staff is beyond friendly and professional. Our room was clean and comfortable. Room included a small kitchen with dishwasher, fridge and stove. Tv with cable. There's also a dining table for 4 and sofa that pulls out to a bed. On the first floor, there's a small gym and lounge area/patio and complimentary continental breakfast every morning from 6:30am-9am. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and definitely choose this hotel again if I needed a place to stay. read more

There was a huge fire blocking the I five freeway and we were stuck and diverted onto the 138 close to midnight. We were all so tired and in dire need for some rest. I called and booked a room with Manny who was hands-down the nicest person I've ever spoken to. He not only took care of us and got us a room but made our entrance memorable and thoughtful with a gift. I had a Travel Agent rate reserved for two nights. I was not going to be able to check in with my mom the first night, and I kept calling the hotel to ask them if my mom could still check in without me being there the first night. I would be there the second night, but not the first. The girls at the front desk were very nice and tried to ask the manager if that would be an issue. The General Manager- Michelle Manning would not answer my calls when they would try to patch me through to her and she never returned my voicemail. The day before check in my mom called to ask again if they would be ok with her checking in and me showing my Travel Agent ID the next day when I arrived and they said no. The front desk said no, because the manager said no. Again, the manager NEVER getting on the phone or answering our calls. They also told my mom they would need to cancel the booking and book the regular rate. She asked for the AARP rate and they told her she'd need to book that herself online. They would not book this for her over the phone! Why wouldn't you book her an AARP rate over the phone for her? Completely shocking to me the way they treated my mom and I. My mom and her husband (a platinum member) has stayed here so many times in the past two years for under their best available rates. Over and over we give them business. Never again! This hotel does not represent what the Marriott Brand is. read more

3.5 stars. It's decent but could have been better. There's some food options in the lobby which is nice and convenient, but the rooms could have been designed better. The bathrooms aren't in the bedroom so there goes your privacy, and they are very simple. It seemed clean and the bed was decent but it could have been better for referring to this place as a Marriott and "suites". There's a really decent wine bar across the parking lot and a sushi restaurant we enjoyed. We come to race at Willow Springs and so far this seemed to be the best place in town. Side note: breakfast options downstairs need improvement. Too skimpy and over too soon. read more

My niece just graduated from college. We had stayed here a couple of times over the years. The rooms are just ok, you get what you pay for. The reason for the poor review is the tv/internet didn't work, we reported it that night and never heard back. And the air conditioner was so loud that it kept us up all night. When we checked out we reported everything and got a "we're sorry ". We should have gotten a discount on the room. Definitely a ding on Marriott and their customer service. read more

Clara was very friendly and helpful offering food for their breakfast which is complimentary and good. Brandon welcomed me when I checked in and was very attentive and helpful with a great attitude. I checked out the next day and Melina asked how I enjoyed my stay. I told her it was excellent and how impressed I am with her team of friendly and helpful staff. We recently spent a week at the TownePlace Suites in Lancaster, and we couldn't stop talking about how much we loved it! The staff was stellar, especially the front desk crew (Shawn, Kyla, Bryce). They were always so kind and pleasant! Really, everyone we encountered was nice, and always asked us how we were doing and if we needed anything. The breakfasts were a wonderful surprise, definitely more than we were expecting, and there were always plenty of gluten free options (we're a gluten free household). The hotel itself was very clean, from the lobby to the workout room to the rooms themselves. Walls were a little thin, but playing some white noise solved that problem. Our room was comfortable, great amenities (a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, cooktop, dishes, etc), and there was actually good water pressure! Bonus points for the Paul Mitchell products in the shower. There really wasn't anything negative about our experience! Oh, and they're a dog friendly hotel with a manageable pet fee, so that was an extra bonus! We highly recommend this property! read more

She profiles me and would not accept my card saying it was not acceptable. I visited your hotel a week ago and paid with that same card.Had a wonderful time .I also booked the room online with that same card. She looked at me a bald Latino and pre judged me without getting to know me. I will be tweeting about this and posting a review to yelp. I did not know you hired prejudice employees at the Marriott . I will not be recommending this place to friends or family in fact I will direct them away from it. The employee who checked us in was great! When I walked in he said, "I just made your keys!" Fantastic! Took me less than 5 mins at the counter. Rooms are spacious - the room with 2 queens is bigger than the room with the king bed. LOVE the mini kitchen - it has an actual full size refrigerator! This is a good stop over hotel. Small pool, no hot tub/ jacuzzi. Not a resort destination but I don't believe that was the plan from the design. Clean, new, conveniently located off of the freeway. Paul Mitchell products are a nice touch. We are here for a soccer tournament and we will definitely stay here again. read more

Great new hotel. Still smells like new. Suites have Queen size beds with fold out couch. Desk area is perfect for business. Kitchenette had a full size fridge and utensils. No oven but a 2 burner stove. Nice outdoor area with a bbq fit guests to use and an outdoor fireplace. Exceptional customer service from the entire staff so far. My apologies for not getting everyone's name but Brandon, Shawn, Manny, the rest of the staff including upper management although it was brief with both of the AM Melina and GM Michelle it was above my expectations. I'll be transitioning from Choice hotels to Marriott exclusively from now on. The quality and exceptional customer service that I've had in the past with all Marriott hotels has always exceeded my expectation plus the pricing isn't too far off from Choice hotels. They've also accommodated me and my family in a time that has been difficult my father just passed away and it's been had. read more

I would like to make a formal complaint about the horrible customer service i received while staying at one of your hotel 2024 West Ave J8 Lancaster, CA 93536. It all started when i checked in on Friday 29Nov and the young lady who checked me in was excellent. I told her i needed a late check out for 2pm and was told okay. I asked her for a room near the elevator as i was with my disabled mom, which she did. Everything was great so i thought. The next day housekeeping came to the room and knocked on the door and as i was answering attempted to enter the room. She did not even wait 1 second before attempting to enter the room. I advised her to come back in 1 hour in which she did and again the same thing knocked on the door and as i was answering attempted to enter the room. The following day check out day Crystal head of housekeeping did the same thing knocked on the door and as i was answering attempted to enter the room. She did not even wait 1 second before attempting to enter the room. Is this a practice of this hotel, as i have stayed in many Marriott's and have never had this problem. After i told Crystal i had a late check out she began to argue with me that it was not noted. She then tells Donna that I did not answer her when she knocked. When the manager Donna call me who was the rudest of them all. She began to tell me that it was not in the system and that me and my family ( disable mother) had 10 minutes to vacate the room or she was going to charge me for another night as i had a special rate. You can ask anyone in the room if i answered and they will tell you yes because i always answer when someone knocks on the room. Also this was a disabled room with a door bell which no one used before entering the room. First of all what does the rate that I am paying have to do with anything. I paid for my room like everyone else. Then she tells me that housekeeping is only there for a certain time so i need to check out or be charged. Well if i were to stay as have housekeeping clean my room guess what they would have still been there if i checked out a 2pm as i requested at check in time and was advised okay. Donna is the worst manager i have ever dealt with and i work in the travel industry. For her to tell me that she stopped what she was doing to call me when i asked for a manger, well guess what that is her job as a manager. I am so disappointed in Marriott and will have to rethink where i take my family in the future. I promise you that I will never come back to this hotel and will be posting this complaint everywhere. read more

The one bedroom suite is just a perfect layout for a weekend stay. The layout is well planned and makes the best use of all the space. It also is wonderful to have everything brand-new and in great working condition. The staff is friendly and make sure that you have everything you could need or want. The decor is a little sparse and Spartan, but it does keep things uncluttered. More than enough drawer, cupboard and storage space, which is not always the case. The kitchen has a range, oven, microwave and a good size refrigerator. There is no icemaker in the refrigerator, just ice cube trays! There is not any true eating area, but a table underneath the working desk does roll out. The entire property appears immaculate, which I know is partly a function of being new, but it really is enjoyable. Anytime we need to be in Palmdale or Landcaster, we will certainly stay here. read more
