Overall a nice stay. The room had a little kitchen with all the necessities. Good sized room. Clean. A few spots could use a little touch ups. Nice lobby with plenty of space and areas to to work.

We stayed here Saturday to Sunday while traveling for work. We got in late Sunday morning, about 1:15am. I had checked in on the app with my eta so they'd have everything ready. Unfortunately, when we got there I was told their systems would be down for 20 minutes and they can't finish checking me in. This was a major bummer as it's almost 2am and we spent most of the day driving. I decided we'd go get food and deal with check in after. Luckily for us, one of the ladies working the front desk ran outside to let us know their systems were back up early. We checked in, got our keys, and went about our night. I'm not really sure what the point of checking in on the app is for. They claim we can do this to avoid hassles at the desk, which is ideal for 1am arrival times. The shower was wonderful, and I loved the quality of the products provided. It can get a little breezy in there with no back portion, but it was nice to feel a little fancy for a shower. I couldn't get the app portion to work for the tv, which was somewhat disappointing. I'm a big tech nerd so when I see things like this, I love giving it a try. Another benefit of this room was the full size fridge, this definitely came in handy as my job involves food.

I loved this hotel! The guy at the desk was awesome! They have welcome bags for Titanium Bonvoy members ... who doesn't love that? The place is SPOTLESS! Everyone is wearing a mask and there are signs all over requiring guests to do so. The rooms are impeccably shiny and clean. They have everything you could need in them.... fridge, stove, etc. The beds are super comfortable. It's a great place for a perfect price!

A welcome sight in the morning...

Tough to find, as was the slot to put your card in inside just to turn the light on, but no biggie. Help was Uber polite, and I dealt with3, the best being Bree. I've stayed swanky. This is better in many ways. Marriott has upped their game! Fair price, not scrimping or gouging post pandemic. I'll be back! Very, very new and clean, but service was the clincher. Nice peeps!

Disgusting. Unsanitary. Infested with bugs and vermin. BED BUGS

First off, a big shout-out to "Brett" at the front desk - I'd called ahead for a late arrival - and he very efficiently checked me in with an entire lobby filled with youth baseball players and their parents! My room was so immaculate - I had flashbacks to my early teens - back to when my dear Mother would spotlessly clean my bedroom. My accommodations at The Hampton were extremely spacious (much bigger than my room growing-up, that's for sure) and the walk-in shower was huge! The complimentary breakfast the next morning was ample and delicious - a great start to my next 100 miles of driving. I'd definitely stay here again - in fact, I look forward to it! #socialmediapromo #socialmediainfluencer #HamptonInnAndSuitesGrandRapidsMI #HiltonHotels #GrandRapIdsMI #hotels #hotel #travel #hospitality #hotellife #hotelroom #besthotels #hoteliers #instatravel #traveling #beautifulhotels #relax #like #hotelstyle #lifestyle #hotelsandresorts #travelphotography #marketing #travels #hotellife  #cleanhotel #hotelstory #TravelingMan #Michigan

Update to my previous review …read more... My third time staying here to visit sick family and each experience has been easy and wonderful! Thank you. Wonderful experience! From start to finish I had a great experience and it's in large part due to Parker, a front desk employee. He/him is professional and friendly and upbeat, a joy to interact with and very helpful. I have been coming to Grand Rapids from the Cincinnati area for the past three weeks and will be doing so for the unforeseeable future... I am in town to visit a sick family member and it's all very difficult so to walk into a hotel and to be greeted with genuine enthusiasm and kindness is everything in that moment. I went to my room with a smile after spending a day in tears... truly thank you for having such wonderful employees. Okay, as far as the hotel is concerned... loved my room and the shower was amazing! They had shampoo and condition and body soap on the wall full of decent products.... I had forgotten body soap and hate bars so I was very thankful for the body soap! Everything was just easy..... I am an early morning person so I was heading to the hospital early each day and completely forgot they have a free breakfast... family member's that had the breakfast said it was great- cousin grabbed oatmeal and berries I think she said each morning on the way to hospital.... Finally, one of the nights I was in the lobby with a cousin waiting for another family member and when we were all ready to leave for dinner I neglected to grab my purse from the chair.... So after about 30 minutes I realized it and was devastated, assuming it was gone for good...I started thinking about all my losses and the credit cards numbers I'd have to call and then I called Parker. He/him found my purse and we came and got it.... Again, such a wonderful and kind exchange. I had a big bag of Costco chocolates in my car I promised her and on my drive home I saw them in my rear view mirror-- Parker- they are headed your way next week... and genuinely, thank you for your amazing and kind service!

One downside was that the air conditioner was extremely loud, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. I also discovered that while my room door locked, the deadbolt wasn't functioning, which was a safety concern. The hotel restaurant was okay, but I was disappointed that they weren't offering happy hour despite having signs advertising it. On the plus side, there are several bars and restaurants within walking distance, which made it easy to explore the area. We even stumbled upon a nearby concert while out walking, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Overall, it was a decent stay with a few issues that, if addressed, would make the experience much better.

Proximity to the new Acrisure Amphitheater is the one advantage. Old mattress and nicked-up furniture. No USB charging ports. Poorly designed shower and the head nozzles need cleaning. Dingy carpets and walls. The pool (one of the reasons I chose this hotel) was closed for maintenance. They did offer access to the Amway Grand pool two blocks away--not very convenient. The staff was very friendly and we had a pleasant meal in the Bistro. Will not stay here again until the rooms are upgraded.

This is such a lovely hotel!…read more The only downside is that it was extremely busy, but we did come on a nice spring weekend in March to a busy area. There was a scrapbooking convention and a few sports teams, but I found that the accommodations were pretty quiet on the sixth floor. The host was able to change our room to a room that had not had a dog in it for over a month due to severe allergies (anaphylactic). The kickback meals were huge and delicious, and they had allergy friendly options for both of breakfast and the dinner for my big Allergy baby. There was a small fridge in the room that worked so well it froze a lot of our supplemental food we brought for those of us with allergies. The room was clean. We had laundry on our floor, which was incredibly helpful when my baby product exposed to an allergen. The front desk was able to take the cache I had and give me quarters for the machines. They had speed queen machines, which were efficient, but they definitely could've used a little bit of a cleaning. I didn't expect a lot since it was a hotel, laundry room but I was pleasantly surprised. If you don't have any allergies staying at a brewery, can save you so much money with all of the food choices. This is one of the best ones I've ever seen, and all of the staff was kind helpful, and communicated very well. Unfortunately, we didn't do the pool much just because of how packed and insane it was... the weight room could've definitely used a little spruce up. There were only three treadmills a recumbent bike and dumbbells up to 35 pounds. I was still able to get an OK workout in with the dumbbells, but a mat and inflating the ball would really go a long way. This hotel is an excellent area close to a target/Starbucks a Meijer 5 to 10 minutes from Cascades Park, which was perfect for my kids to get a little energy out after our travel day. There's also a Costco across the street which we are planning on refilling it before we leave.

There was a free dinner and then there was a free breakfast the next day our room was extremely clean when we checked in and well stocked with pillows and towels. We will look into staying with this brand every time we travel. The only issue I see is that there were no USB ports in the room, not at the desk or alarm clock. Make sure you bring a wall plug/adapter.
